Yes its 15th feb. Yes that would be lovely idea. My friend is having her twins baptised at the same time, and the lady used to be her head teach many moons ago, so she new her better than me.
Had a chat with her only last week about us running sunday school,as she was desperate to get one up and running.

Hope you all have lovely day, for the first time ever, me and dc's are not dressed yet feel like a lazy day, but going to go out.
Off to local fabric store to by some fur to attempt make a Buggy Snuggle.

could be some time.... off to blow dust of my sewing machine.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 30/01/2009 09:54

steakknife you're having rough time atm.
Enjoy your French class.

Steaknife · 30/01/2009 09:55

ooh *no1\8 - glad there is another sewer on here - I have fabric store envy.

Steaknife · 30/01/2009 09:55

no1 even. still on hold 1 handed typing.

sambo303 · 30/01/2009 10:02

I think I would like more vg it's just the intensity of the whole thing was very wearing, so I think it's best to wait a wee bit (oh cant afford another now anyway)

no1 I have also been keeping ds in rompers and babyish clothing...have total horror of tracksuits and jeans that's why I'm going for kilts (poor ds!!). You will probably stop being broody once you are pg again!! And what is it with these men - my dp has not read one word on the subject of weaning (or babies tbh) and now tells me it's his Instinct thats telling him ds should have food!!
about your lovely church warden, 74 is young these days too!

just won a M&P prima pappa high chair on freecycle to collect tonight, will be nice to have something for ds to sit up in and watch me reheat cook dinner

Steaknife · 30/01/2009 10:05

Our alternative weaning continues apace - DD had fluffy duck beak yesterday, followed by granpas arm - quite the carnivore.

The only thing she has is her vitamin D drops and her face is priceless, I get the spoon in wipe it around to get the 4 tiny drops in and she isn't botherd, then when the tast hits her she scrunches up her face in an "euwwwww" face and gives me the evil eye.

sambo303 · 30/01/2009 10:11

morning steak good luck with the bank

I also have fabric store envy

not dressed yet here either

sarahnh · 30/01/2009 10:13

Morning,

Not very sure about this new format, a bit confused for a sleep deprived girl!!

Belated happy birthday miamla!!

Back at work today, so tired i could fall asleep at my desk.. the little madam was awake for 2 hours in the night wanting to play arghhh!!!

Hope everyone has a good day today xx

TwilightSurfer · 30/01/2009 10:25

Well I like it! I do. I like this new look. MN cleans up nicely.

Missed everyone last night. Well not everyone. Ann and I commented back and forth for a bit after the techies shut things down here. Honestly have all my years in IT I can say this was the smoothest revamp I've ever witnessed. Hardly ever goes without issue when dealing with code.

Reese slept through basically. I was tired so put her down at 8ish thinking she'd probably be good for one more bottle. I was right. At 10:30pm she woke wanting one. Then awake again at 4:30am...normal time. I still feel like I need a week to regain all my missed sleep over the past few months. I'm really looking forward to that one morning when I wake REFRESHED.

I should go back to bed for a little while. See you all in a few hours.

LOL
Under Preferences (or maybe options I forget) there's a talk "look" called Mumsnet SOBER Workspace.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 30/01/2009 10:33

so now I am still not dressed. This whole internet thing totally takes over

Missed the window of opportunity to get dressed while ds was asleep, Really must settle him for his usually 30 min sleep or There will be a major meltdown.

sambo I love kilts too. I love the soft woolen baggy trousers my mum got him from 'bonnie' 'baby' but i love knitted stuff.
Yes strange how men think they no it all when they have not read anything at all.
DH always says instinct too.
congrats on the high chair. That is fantastic.
Hi ts dont blame you going back to bed.
hi sarahnh
steakknife DS was like that when I gave him calpol
right i am really going now

CaptainCaveman · 30/01/2009 10:38

Morning ladies - am typing quietly so I don't wake O up

We have got 3 house viewings tomorrow. Let's pray that a) they bloody turn up! and b) one of them wants to buy

spoke too soon, O now awake - must be hitting these keys too hard

cyteen · 30/01/2009 11:00

aaarrrggghhhh stressful morning. need to access internet banking for first time in ages - it's not working, despite two calls to bank services and downloading a different browser. meanwhile i put joe down for his reliable morning 40 winks - 5 minutes later he's howling and won't go back to sleep. so i have been juggling baby while holding phone in crook of shoulder, answering door to the invisible man and drinking many half-cups of cold tea

never mind, it's all minor. on the happy side i am now officially debt free as paid off my student loan this morning YAY! this means that DP and i have no debt i've never been in the black in my life!

hugs to oops for rubbish ILs, ataraxis for journey+DH stress, and special 'chin up' hugs for the lovely albs - please don't cry or be made to feel bad by school gate bitches, you have done nothing wrong and have nothing to apologise for. Hold your head high, look them in the eye and smile next time you see them - a big, genuine, friendly smile. They won't know what to think and you will almost certainly feel better

sambo and no1 am a bit on your behalf re. weaning experts your partners. We're off to buy a highchair tomorrow but DP, like me, doesn't expect much from DS other than curiosity and lots of mess Think I am quite lucky there.

cyteen · 30/01/2009 11:05

TS can you hear my hollow LOL at the idea of waking refreshed? I seem to be going backwards...woke up this morning feeling 1000 years old.

AnnVan · 30/01/2009 11:50

Hello everyone.
God, can't find anything on this new format. Took me ages just to find this.
Ha well. Horrible night last night. Got Seb down just after 12, lay awake trying to get to sleep. Just dozed off, he woke up (this was at 2.20) couldn't get him back off, started having a weepy just can't cope wobble. DP gets up in a fury and has a go at me (apparently I'm supposed to stay calm at all times, but he has the right to lose his temper at one disrupted night ) This included swearing at me and ended with him telling me to Fuck off
What gets me is that it really doesn't help me at all. If he just got up when he heard me struggling and took seb off me for ten minutes so that I can calm down then went back to bed, it would really help. Instead he yells, swears, tells me I mustn't lose my cool EVER. THe most priceless was 'you're doing this to me tonight, of all nights you don't care if I lose my job it's just a fucking joke to you' yeah, I laugh really hard, and I'm struggling for the first night in two weeks JUST to spite you.

I'm seriously considering telling him to fuck off tonight just so he knows what it feels like.

Mil came round at 3 and stayed till 5 with me, when we managed to get Seb to sleep.

AnnVan · 30/01/2009 11:52

Sorry that was a serious rant

AnnVan · 30/01/2009 12:11

ack killed the thread again

alittlebitshy · 30/01/2009 12:13

ann lots of hugs.

(how did mil know to come?) - super mil though. Can she come here?

alittlebitshy · 30/01/2009 12:16

easy to lose your rag in the night. We had a hissed conversation which ended up with dh shouting and me swearing in ds's room at 3am the other night.... (then saw lodger hadd turned her light on when woken by howls so poss heard every word )

MIL came because I called her. Last time we had an early-hours meltdown, she told me to call her if I need help, so I did. She lives 5 mins walk away. (and yes ALBS, she is a FAB FAB MIL, am so lucky) didn't see DP this morning, as I was fast asleep when he left. Must talk to him tonight, because the one thing I seriously hated last night was being sworn at. I won't put up with it.
MIL is a big believer in family support networks, so although I didn't want to call (she has a 3 yo of her own after all) I did resort to it and she was here about 20 minutes later.

AnnVan · 30/01/2009 12:43

ALBS I know it's easy to lose your rag at night, but he seems to think I've got to stay calm at all times, but HE'S allowed to get angry. WHY? Why is it ok for him to lose his temper, but I'm supposed to stay calm no matter how tired I am/how long Seb's been up/crying. That's what really gets to me. When I asked him not to lose his temper with me at night he said 'I'm not superman' I said 'but you expect me to do it - I'm not superwoman'

If you don'y like he new mn - you can go to customise and chane it ti roughly as it was.

Ann - sorry you had a bad night with DP. You very lucky to have a fab MIL. Can she have a word with him? Will he listen if she does?

Albs - I hope your school run went okay today.

CC - will say big prayers (as my sister described prayers for things she really wanted to happen) for your viewings to turn up and for someone to buy your house.
