ah weaning - looking forward to the mess , think we will wait a while here - dd is only 4 months next week.
we got this delivered today as our current buggy is BIG and our maclaren that the boys used is definitely dead. It is so much nicer than it looks on the website - I was a bit worried when we ordered it - but am really pleased with it. Good to have something we can lift 1 handed again.

ataraxis · 08/01/2009 21:49

how did it take me 10 mins to write that?

ds2 is up

sambo303 · 08/01/2009 21:53

cc the tiny puffs of breath also had me reaching for some tissues, especially as I've just calmed and put to bed an extremely distressed baby - his third injections today do not seem to have agreed with him. We dosed him with calpol and then I fed him for ages. I often think of his hot breath on my cheek, I just find that so touching

Over xmas my sister saw ds gazing up at me and said 'look how adoring he is. Your relationship with your children changes you know, once they get to the age of 3 and tell you that they hate you'

Sazzles I've seen Cirque twice and loved them, you'll have a great evening.

lol vg I am searching for train tickets atm still, so not a No just yet
Also if my back is good for say sunday I will still be coming.

I agree that bf can be a bit for the men. Dh has commented several times how he enjoyed feeding dd last thing at night while I went to bed, and he stayed down with her till early hours when he then brought her up to me for a feed. Think he laiked the fact he had her all to himself without me or anyone watching him. I know he was so nervous with her, he would only hold her on his knee if she was layed on a pillow till he got confident and knew she wouldnt break. Ah bless, making me feal all teary eyed

I wasn't sure initially why Sazzleswas and but dropped my mince pie in my cup when I read why

OP posts:
oopsacoconut · 08/01/2009 22:09

no I'm not eating mince pies that was wrong - it was an imaginary mince pie

Sazzles I would attempt again without worry. Sometimes the folks that own those homes travel worldwide (or may even live somewhere else in the world). Could you complete your process entirely online with that one??

Ataraxis, my dd1 has yelled a similar statement...something like "I'M LEAVING AND NEVER COMING BACK!" to which I said nothing but took her by the arm, led her out on to the patio, came back in without her and shut the door. When the shock of it all hit her, I opened the door (it was 40 degrees...so very cold) and firmly explained, Your words having meaning. Do not say things you do not mean. If you really want to leave, then GO. Otherwise get back inside and mind your manners." She remained outside for an additional 5 minutes considering her options only to come to the conclusion it was better inside with me than outside in the cold without shoes on. She's not said that statement again.

TS my dad once packed my bags for me called a taxi gave me money for the fare to the train station and kissed me goodbye at the gate . little did I know he paid the taxi guy to drive me around the block and bring me home again - using almost the same words as you when we got home. I never threatened that agan.
