have just asked DH if he wants to go and see Cirque in Glasgow in April, its actually on when he's on days off (anything we ever want to go to is normally on when he's working) but he replied

'just won't be the same as vegas so no, don't really fancy it'

he'd better be at it so he can sneak on and buy me tickets for my valentines/mothers day/ may birthday

sazzles quick question about your mb do you have a seperate rain cover for dd1.
I have 1 for carrycot, 1 double for when both seat units are on, but not for poor dd. so have been limited to use it when it has looked like rain.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 08/01/2009 22:15

oops at your dad doing that. You must have been scared to death

Thanks VG and No1. Funny thing is that DH was the one who was most gutted that bf didn't work out with DD1 as his Mum was a bf counsellor and he was brought up to believe it was the best thing ever.

Not HH today Dizzy. Had to get to the first place available after a 30 min queue in the Post Office and an even baby who was more than a little peckish after that wait.

DD1 actually being rather better behaved at the mo. She has however acquired the phrase "Are we nearly there yet?" from nowhere and uses it ALL THE TIME , from the minute we get in the car and even on journeys that she knows. The best bit is that she 'discovered' it 30 mins into our 600 mile journey south for Christmas .

DH has just anounced we are going out for drinks tomorrow evening without DD he arranged for IL's to babysit - I don't want to go, I need more time to wind myself up about going out. HEEELLLPPPP how to I tell him NO without looking precious.

I was 8, in serious crime ridden suburbs of Johannesburg, we lived behind 8ft spiked fences! I nearly wet myself when the taxi drove off and wouldn't listen when I said I wanted out - I thought I was being kidnapped!

Not to make my dad look any more horrid than I already have but on the 'are we nearly there yet?' once on our 14 hour trip to the seaside for our annual holiday by brother used the same phrase every 5 minutes for about the first half of the trip. My dad finally lost it said 'yes' stopped by the side of the road and put my brother out, closed the door and drove on about 200 feet then asked if my brother had found the sea yet. Needless to say he kept quiet for the rest of the trip.

DISCLAIMER: My dad is truely lovely and would never be really mean to us but he was a single father to 3 children with a max.14 month age gap between us! Then he met my step mum and webecame lovely children.

VG no to all of the above - I might just say she has been a little off all day so I want to stay in with her and we can go out another night!
