Am I first? Couldn't think of what to call it....

VS - I think she is hungrier, yes, I tried giving more milk, which helped, but then yesterday she spurned more milk for more food (I guess she can't take both) and she did sleep better last night. Woke once at 5.30 for drink water and then 6.30 properly. She is never hungry for her breakfast til about 8 though - does anyone else have this? Should I stop giving a ten o clock feed?

How'd you get on earlier, did you manage to pull a stooodent?

EllieG · 07/01/2009 22:51

You are NOT a rubbish mum, you are a lovely one

Dunno how I'm feeling really. Sort of half dreading, half excited. When I go into the office I do feel buzzy - is nice using my brain again. It's just the guilt really - I hate the thought of Molly being unhappy, but then realistically, there's nothing I can do apart form make sure I have good childcare, and I know she will be OK.

How has R been since monday?

ThePFJ · 07/01/2009 22:52

All packed and ready to go. Feel a bit stronger today. Am better thanks Ellie. Getting up early tomorrow so will be back Friday night. See you all then. xxx

EllieG · 07/01/2009 22:52

Yey for Bas!

He's very speedy isn't he? I must tell Molly to hurry up and do some more stuff.

Were your other DCs as quick not-peachy?

Poor Molly!
"Now listen here young lady, that Bas is standing already, so get a move on or you'll never make Oxbridge!"

EllieG · 07/01/2009 22:59

'xactly. I told her only today that she was getting left behind by the internet babies, and if she didn't buck her ideas up I would put her on ebay.

PFJ, will think of you all day. Hope the trip itself goes well too.

Ellie, here's the problem. Roelof only has a minor cold left, more snottiness than anything else, but I think all the mucus builds up a bit, so then he sometimes coughs a bit. If he coughs while eating too fast (it only happened once yesterday, nothing on Sunday and Monday), he vomits. He was so cheerful Monday and yesterday, even though we only came home at 7. The nanny was making sure he's sleeping enough during the day and kind of helped him wind down in the evening.

The nursery (which I have to add really is lovely) doesn't seem to work that well with him - he won't nap properly there, so ends up over tired and grumpy when we pick him up at 6. Also, he cough/vomited 3 times there today! I know it's nothing major, it's not a bug, it's like he's choking and he's perfectly fine afterwards, but it just kind of worries me that I don't know if he'll ever fit in in a nursery then, and, while I know they don't have as much time per child, I just worry. Generally.

I'm hoping that I might know more definitely when he's one.

EllieG · 07/01/2009 23:06

clarissimo - just been peeking at the latest pics on your profile - your boys are very cute little moppets aren't they? Bas has HUGE smile, bless him.

Look at the time! Must go to bed get some sleep before the night wakings....

SalLikesCoffee · 07/01/2009 23:07

Hahahaha. Leave poor Mollie alone! I'll bid all my new hard earned salary on her, then I'll rent her out to you. Hmm, I feel a fortune in the making here...

Backtracking. Yes, Ellie, do it, she's really taking the mick, she is!

EllieG · 07/01/2009 23:07

nap times at nursery bother me too sal as Molly is very picky about where she will sleep. It might improve when they are older though

SalLikesCoffee · 07/01/2009 23:10

I'm hoping for that. You never know until you try it though - this one boy there has 2 hour naps in the morning! I think little mr is just too nosy for his own good...

chipmonkey · 07/01/2009 23:14

Sal, ds3 was never ill once when he was at home with me on ML. Since going back he has had diarrhoea twice and conjunctivitis. Ds4 has had a cough and also conjuncitivitis. They are cesspits of bugs! However I seem to remember that ds1 and ds2 came down with lots of things when they first attended and then it eased off.

SalLikesCoffee · 07/01/2009 23:17

Nice to hear that it gets better, chipmonkey. I feel slightly better for the future having read that. I guess it makes sense really, the whole building up their immune systems and all. A break would be good though

SalLikesCoffee · 07/01/2009 23:21

Chipmonkey, if you don't mind me asking - how do you feel about being at work again? I know it doesn't matter, but I still feel kind of guilty for loving it so much.

Oh hell, this is like the old vb vs csection all over again - I kept thinking I know I should really feel sad about it, but I quite liked my cs!

Oh btw, no-one made me feel guilty, this is me being neurotic all on my own! I only moan in your ears because I know you'll be nice.

SalLikesCoffee · 07/01/2009 23:29

Ok, dh nagging me to come to bed, will check in again tomorrow night (can't at work unfortunately!) Good night everybody.

ToothlessOldCrone · 07/01/2009 23:51

I love the actual work bit, but the organising that has to go with it ( and after visiting loads of professionals about ds1's ADD it has dawned on me that he didn't lick it off the ground!) it is difficult. At least in work I only have to organise myself which is not too bad. I do feel guilty though, for the boys.

ToothlessOldCrone · 07/01/2009 23:52

sorry, I am chipmonkey!

LadyBee · 07/01/2009 23:55

How does eczema start up? BabyBee has just developed a sort of red rash on his back but he's not sick at all. I can't think what can have caused it - although I guess maybe he's reacting to something in the house or the childminder's home...hmm..why would it be on his back only though? Will have to ask DP if anything's new

Denny, isn't it amazing how fast they can change!

Sal, I'm sure you could find a nannyshare in your area or close by - there was one being asked for on a thread here not long ago.

PFJ, hope you're doing ok?

chipmonkey · 08/01/2009 00:11

Oh rashes! I have spent half my life worrying about rashes to have them dismissed as just "one of those things"!
Ds2 had eczema very briefly and it was a very dry but red rash. He got it after one bottle of formula! He was 4 months old and I was working and I was under huge pressure to keep bfing and expressing to meet his needs!

VSisFlouncing · 08/01/2009 09:54

Guess what?
Panda not only slept through last night (he's been doing 7-6 for a week or so now) he didn't wake up until 8am today
He seems to have forgotten that he learnt how to stand last week, after doing it constantly for two days, he refused to show Uncle Oli and still hadn't shown Daddy. Nanny is coming over to bring my birthday present over later (creeping closer to 30..)so he probably won't do it today either

scorpio1 · 08/01/2009 09:59

Sal - lol @ enjoying a c-section I have never had one, and the very thought terrifies me!

VS - ahh, bless him. Mimi is standing and walking along stuff, but sometimes has a spectacular fall. Happy B'day you old git (tomorrow? FB says?)
