Am I first? Couldn't think of what to call it....

VS - I think she is hungrier, yes, I tried giving more milk, which helped, but then yesterday she spurned more milk for more food (I guess she can't take both) and she did sleep better last night. Woke once at 5.30 for drink water and then 6.30 properly. She is never hungry for her breakfast til about 8 though - does anyone else have this? Should I stop giving a ten o clock feed?

paranoidmummy · 21/01/2009 11:09

Sorry to crash in like this after disappearing for eternity but I just wanted to say thanks to all you guys for the help in my other thread. It really helped and I'm actually feeling mildly excited about the prospect of having another baby . Although after being kept up for 3 hours last night I'm not sure why

scorpio I had to post to say that is EXACTLY how I felt and why I took a preg test. Yay maybe you're having another I thought it was just the virus going round too... take a test take a test. As for your hubbie I's be having some stern words if I were you. I don't know how you manage looking after 3 kids, including breastfeeding one on what sounds like very little help from your other half. You are a credit to him so don't allow him to get you down. You are one of the people from this thread that made me think I can keep this baby because of how much you have managed at such a young age and just taken it in your stride. So there you go, tell him you were an inspiration for a complete stranger!!!

VictorianSqualor · 21/01/2009 11:11

Apparently it's common with dyspraxia?

scorpio1 · 21/01/2009 11:13

I think so, VS. R wakes up (sort of) terrified, thrashing aorund, he shouts out too in his sleep, and last time he had a nosebleed too from hitting his nose on his bunk bed rail thing.

Though had massive success last night as he knows all his class spellings

pm - Thankyou so much I'm really glad you are more positive - keep posting

VictorianSqualor · 21/01/2009 11:13

Don't be sorry pm, come back, stay!!!!

TheLorax · 21/01/2009 11:15

pm, lovely to see you! And FWIW I'm very [evny] of your pregnancy!

TheLorax · 21/01/2009 11:15

even!

VictorianSqualor · 21/01/2009 11:18

Me too

paranoidmummy · 21/01/2009 11:19

thanks vs, its very nice to feel wanted after all this time! I have still kept up with all you guys but just so much has gone on with ds2 I would never have come off the computer if I'd started posting it all!!! I will def stay on here now tho, I think I'm going to need it to stay sane over the next 8 months (18 years...)

paranoidmummy · 21/01/2009 11:22

If I'm honest I'm secretly over the mooooooooonn now!!! I just don't want to get myself too excited as I have the cvs to contend with. Hard not to tho. Terribly tho I am CRAVING alcohol at the moment normally in preg the very thought makes me feel sick but its all I fancy!!! Oops

scorpio1 · 21/01/2009 11:26

quite a few of us have go pg again, havent we? V1kk1, LR, PM, is that it?

well its not me, anyway!

bumpkin32 · 21/01/2009 11:32

Me too! Am very at PM for being pg again. Would love to be, but DH says NO! Only got 1 and he says he's getting too old (he's 46, I'm 33) for anymore. I'll just have to keep on at him, til he gives in!

paranoidmummy · 21/01/2009 11:32

can u def not be scorpio?

scorpio1 · 21/01/2009 11:33

oh i could be, dont use contraception so is possible.

paranoidmummy · 21/01/2009 11:34

FWIW bumpkin my DH said a resounding no to anymore! I really wanted one more. Then when I got my BFP he went all gooey while I was being the sensible one! I caught him checking out phil and ted's on the internet the other day!!! What a woman...

paranoidmummy · 21/01/2009 11:34

I hope so, would be nice to have a 'familiar face' again!!!

scorpio1 · 21/01/2009 11:39

lol @ your DH. we will have one more and thats it for us.

bumpkin32 · 21/01/2009 11:50

Thanks PM, that gives me hope. I'm refusing to go on the pill at the mo (was on it for soooo long before trying to get pg), so I've told him it's his turn to think about the contraception if he doesn't want anymore dc! I know it wouldn't be great timing (but when is!) and you'll always work a way round things!

bumpkin32 · 21/01/2009 11:57

Sorry, and Congrats to all those that are pg again
(although remain very !!!)

Soph73 · 21/01/2009 14:02

Afternoon all.
PM - great to see you. Am also very Even if we could afford another DH says he's getting too old. However, he may be getting promoted in September sooooo watch this space.
VS - how the hell do you manage to fit everything in. I can barely manage to go to work & bet home again!!
Scorpio - tell your DH to get a grip & stop being so selfish .

Soph73 · 21/01/2009 14:13

That's get home!

Forgot to say, Sam had his 9 month check today. He now weighs just over 8.5kg and is 70cms long. Just before we went in he did the biggest, smelliest poo you've ever seen - he had cauliflower cheese with sweetcorn for dinner last night, so was obviously still working it's way out of his system The nurse sort of looked at him, smiled sweetly, and said "there's no need to ask if his bowels are working OK then!" Sam found it incredibly funny - typical boy!

SalLikesCoffee · 21/01/2009 20:18

Hi everyone. Nice to read your messages to see it is usually good (and a lot of you are on your way to doing it again!)

Am shattered here - had to rush home from work after R fainted (only quickly, but still) after a particular bad nappy/vomiting combination. Spent the afternoon in A&E. They've analised stool samples (that mil had to give on Monday as this has been going on for so long), and whilst still waiting for further analysis, they have confirmed that he has a bad case of the Norivirus. Not much to do on that obviously, so have been giving rehydration sachets all afternoon. He is a lot better now though - even had a quick smile earlier.

They are sending a letter to my gp to refer him to a paediatrician, as they are worried about the fact that this has continued for months. I don't think it's dead serious though (or maybe I'm in denial, but if you see him, he's really thriving and when not d&v-ing, quite a happy little boy).

Hmm, sorry for that essay, just had to get it out of my system. Thanks for listening!

O, just one extra thing - Scorpio, your dh is being an arse. Don't take any of this personally - it's his issues. Hoping he'll sort himself out soon.

PlainOldPeachy · 21/01/2009 21:36

PM-

scorpio-

LadyBee · 21/01/2009 22:29

oh poor R, Sal - I hope they work out what it is soon.

We have such a sad baby. Sleep is really becoming a big issue. He's just woken up and is being comforted by DP but just keeps working himself up, it's so hard to listen to.
BUT today was a really good day, was wonderful to spend the day with him after all the bad nights. Just reassuring to see that he is happy and smiley and chatty during the day. God knows how we're going to get past this sleep thing though, I don't understand why he gets so much more worked up now...is it part of separation anxiety? I guess just faith that we'd managed to get him sleeping through before, so should be able to again. Just as long as I can get childminder on board with napping routines too, I guess. -- Sorry, thinking out loud again..

..we had our 8/9 month check today too Soph! I spoke to HV about plans for next baby (far away still) and she looked at my notes, said 'you had a CS, you'll probably have another one then'. I was completely shocked! So much so that I just meekly agreed with her . God I hope I have more backbone when it comes to the next one for real.

eva07 · 21/01/2009 23:14

so peachy dragged me out from the corner (waves) hi all

ladybee, I sooooo feel with you. N is on a no-sleep-mission for the last few days and nights, it's awful she was always a crap sleeper, the longest she's been going in one piece until now was about 4 hours. now she sleeps between 30 minutes and 2 hours
and she can't settle herself. as soon as she wakes up she gets on her knies or stands up and starts wailing.
sorry, moan over

sal, I really hope R is getting better soon. what an awful thing to have.
