sazzles you're going to need the fabulous blue shoes to go with the indigo dress you know

shall pop kettle on for your dh arriving, does he need a lift from the station or will the adrenaline alone get him here?!?

poppy you are either amazing or a lunatic, just shout if you need any help, I can pop on a pinny and act like the hired help if need be

haven't sorted date for Dylan's yet, haven't managed to be in church without bawling my eyes out [pathetic emoticon] will give you a giggle though, MIL was on phone asking DH about it (in Ireland, where he lives at least, they're practically christened in the labour suite - forgive me Sibh and VG if I've offended its not meant) and we had DD1 christened over there when she was only 3 months old. DD2 christened here at 6 months and MIL thought that was far too long to wait, she's about having kittens that there is nothing organised and has even gone so far as to hint to DH that she believes that we've done it without telling them about it?!?!??!?!?!??!?

LOL at your MIL Dizzy! We're suffering complaints from my family. Mainly because at 8 months my mother's concerned that DD2 won't fit into the family christening dress. It will be a shame if she doesn't as DD1 wore it, so did I, my Mum, granny and great-granny. However, if she doesn't I'm sure you'll help me find an alternative and I can continue to worry about catering and what if it rains and we can't put people into the garden...

Right, off to bed now. Still ok for Wednesday Dizzy?

dizzydixies · 04/01/2009 23:29

Wed in pen on the calender poppy so that means it must happen or the world will stop turning!

For me Christmas is over

Night all!

AnnVan · 05/01/2009 08:02

Morning everyone. Seems I missed some interesting chat, but yet again I have failed to catch up.
At least we got some sleep last night. GOt little man down just before 11. He wailed just before 12, DP settled him, and is still asleep now Must go wake him, really.
Why do I still feel tired?
Oh - I'll put out some toast and tea to add to the breakfast.

WeWishYouAMiamlaChristmas · 05/01/2009 09:07

morning all, sorry i went awol again, RL just keeps getting in the way!

i'm on here to find out about the meetups. just about to book my ticket for bristol...i'm going to temple meads, right? (sorry, i know this has already been said but you girls chat too much for me to find the info buried in the thread!)
what time do you think i should book my return trip? 5? 5.30? 6?
is anyone else going to bristol from london?

also, london meetup... has anything been decided?

(VG, i wonder if i'm a grownup sometimes too!)

Miamla · 05/01/2009 09:09

oops, sorry, still had my christmas hat on!

sambo303 · 05/01/2009 09:56

Morning all, thanks for brekkie

miamla I have been thinking about going to Bristol too, what train are you catching from Paddington. Realised I can get the tube from Wimbledon to Paddington which could be manageable - went to visit a friend before xmas at Kensington High Street and managed fine.

oopsacoconut · 05/01/2009 09:58

Morning ALL

We had snow last night!!!! and it's still there DD and I went to go out and deliver DH his lunch which he left at home, first day he can't pop home for lunch , and last night when he went to get the kitty litter out my car he left the boot open so I have a very flat battery and can't go out. Which means I have to stay in and clean house until DD wakes up then we can go for a walk into town to get coffee and swap some trousers I bought which are too short.

It is wednesday the meet up and I think alot of people are getting there for mid morning then leaving at about 3ish (someone correct me if I am wrong) I know VG's flight is at about 3 ish. So I would go for a 3/3.30 ish leaving, 5ish trains are hellishly more expensive too as it is peak travelling time!

DD did good sleeping last night no real dream feed, 2 sucks then snoring, she woke at 4 then 7.45 wake up. now she is napping again leading to the housework dilemma should I or shouldn't I.

oopsacoconut · 05/01/2009 10:00

also DD has started blowing raspberries whilst feeding - milk everywhere and strange looks when feeding out and about!

sambo303 · 05/01/2009 10:01

Ann brilliant news about that long sleep. I am making a few adjustments to night times so hopefully I will also be getting 8 hours in one go. Last night I fed DS at 11.45pm then he woke at 3.44 whinging a little. I did the shushing thing/rocking etc and this time he was asleep in 7 minutes. He cried out a few times but I just rocked his hamock a bit each time and before I knew it, it was nearly 8am!! So now I know he can manage for 8 hours without food - this is a major breakthrough.

sambo303 · 05/01/2009 10:13

oops we have snow here too. It's melting a bit now.

My new fridge has arrived, lovely! But the can't take the old one away til tomorrow so my tiny utility room is now filled with 2 fridges.

Is the Bristol meet up on Weds 14th? I thought it was Tues13th and we have water babies on Wednesdays so can not make it
