Hello all.

I'm exhausted, I've spent the last week on my feet and all morning yesterday in the hospital with my sister in law as she needed a translator for her hysteroscopy and d&c. She didn't even know the name of the procedure before I asked someone and explained it to her.

Other than that I'm looking forward to a day of cleaning, cooking, and MNing.

I'm going to try to catch up now, wish me luck.

largeginandtonic · 03/12/2008 16:31

Arghh!!! April has been here all afternoon and i have just realised i only offered her 1 cup of tea!!! Am a terrible host. We were chatting too much

I love her, she looks far too fab though all teeny tiny and nice hair She bought me some lovely clothes that were Ella's too Hugs climbed all over her most of the afternoon it was clearly love

Right must read and catch up.

TheGreatChristmasEvie · 03/12/2008 16:49

Lummee its quiet on here today.
of the meetup.

I managed to get through my meeting.Think they took pity on me as they agreed to fund night staff at one of my services for far longer than I thought. So I can do something right after all.

We have no food in the house.Nothing.I should go to Tesco. But its freezing, I feel poorly, the girls feel poorly.DH will have to go.He will moan as he is working late but it cant be helped.
DD's can have the last of the cheese on toast for Supper and I will have Doritos and crack open the Christmas Quality Street.

AbbyLou · 03/12/2008 16:58

Hi all, just snatching a minute to catch up. Scoot sorry you lot are still no better, it seems to be one thing after another for you.
A plumber has been out to our boiler today for the 4th time in 4 weeks. Fil stayed here to see him so I'm not sure of the outcome, the house feels warm though.
It's just girls here as dh is still at work and C goes to the library with grandad every other Wednesday to change his books. We are enjoying playing dsolls without interuptions.
I can't believe my baby is nearly 4, his birthday is 2 weeks on Friday. He's having a party at the dreaded soft play. He will love it and I just wanted something with minimum effort for me. That sounds terrible doesn't it but with it being so close to Christmas there is so much else going on. He has found out today that he is going to be the innkeeper in the Nursery Nativity and he is so proud. I will have to try really hard not to cry as I will be there with my own class!

Themasterandsnowballs · 03/12/2008 16:59

of the meetup and of Hugs cuddling.

Phew Scoot, glad it went well. Can't you just get a takeout? Or two, or three

MORE SECRET SANTA CANDIDATES NEEDED!

Email stephensonkuk at yahoo dot co dot uk

J has been whining all day, he won't let me out of his sight for a second without tears. Is anyone else going through this too?

Themasterandsnowballs · 03/12/2008 17:01

Oh Abby, I always cry, every time. Suddenly they just look so tiny standing on that stage.

TheGreatChristmasEvie · 03/12/2008 17:04

Yes for us.Think Hot and Sour soup would do me good actually. But need something for the girls to take to CM tomorrow and we have run out of all our freezer stocked up things I have made for these such eventualities.

Mae was quite like that a few weeks ago.It was very annoying.I had to carry her everywhere and she is not light.

Is so cute Abby..I cant wait for the girls to be big enough to be in the school nativity. Will he wear a tea towel for a head dress?

Have you got the new Killers album yet BTW?Its a bit of a change in direction but am quite liking it.

I am going to see Duffy on Monday.Am actually not fussed about her either way but will be nice to go and hear some music I guess

largeginandtonic · 03/12/2008 17:20

Mmmmmm hot and sour soup, we did Gordon's cook along at the weekend and made his soup. It was delicious!

Scoot have you been to the chemist yet? Do you want me to send it to you? Please bundle under a duvet and rest. Send dh out to get some good food and make a list so he does not forget the smoothies etc...

TMAM dont worry Hugs has a special place in his heart for you

The Xmas plays start tomorrow in the Gin household, B is gearing up to behave like an angel throughout

The consultant was fine, he said she is no longer measuring too big. He listed all the doom and gloom that goes with a HB after a section\3rd degree tear/shoulder dystocia and multiparity (lots of feckin babies ) but even he conceded at the end it would probably all be fine and i may not make it to the hospital if i did try. So HB ahoy I see him again at 41 weeks for a sweep i expect.

JamInMyWellies · 03/12/2008 17:36

LG&T so pleased the consultant was supportive of your HB. I told you she would even out size wise.

Abbey cry away tis a mums perogative when it comes to nativity. Our little local church is having a nativity where all the local children are invited and they can dress up if they want then I think its a bit of a free for all, but sounds like good fun.

TMAM I totally forgot to go at you guys getting another dog you are quite clearly mental.

Scoot hunker down send DH to waitrose and get some ready type meals for the girls.

MKG please rest my lovely.

Well felt a bit not as pregnant this morning so took Louis for a wander and then took Archie to his swimming lesson now feel a bit cream crackered but have just made some ragu for a big bowl of spag bol for dinner, yum.

TheGreatChristmasEvie · 03/12/2008 19:26

Ah..the baby is getting ready to come out then!>>nods head in manner of wise woman

Aprilmeadow · 03/12/2008 20:19

Had a wonderful afternoon at G&T's. Loved the Hugs cuddles and was so funny watching Beau terrorising H. Although have told dh that he needs to get handy with a needle and thread after watching MrG&T transform a Mary costume into a Kings Servant outfit in 15mins flat!

G&T looks amzing and i am of her lovely bump. Who needs lots of tea when there were gingerbread biscuits

Got home 15mins before i needed to collect the dc's from nursery which was brilliant timing. Spent most of the way home chatting to the lovely Pink and explaining the outcome of the MIL situation at work.

Going to curl up on the sofa and watch the rest of series 2 Gavin & Stacey.

Thanks again LG&T x

MKG · 03/12/2008 22:15

Master, I tried to email you for secret santa, but it came back to me. You can email me at [email protected].

Pebblemum · 03/12/2008 22:25

LG&T Funny you should mention the name Devon as it was there, when we went away for our 30th birthdays, that this LO was likely to have been conceived lol

Had a shock in Woolies today, Mum was brownsing through all the autobiographys and she came across a photo of my Dad in one They grew up with Cliff Richard and in his book there is a photo of the school football team with my dad sat right in front lol. Had no plans to buy it, not my cup of tea but think I might have to now, its not every day your dad's face is printed in a book.

Im sat here waiting for my brats lovely children to go to sleep. For some reason J and E are both having trouble going to sleep Last night it was Alana who woke up at 10pm and decided she was no longer tired and wanted to play until 1am {shock] All 3 kids have been driving me mad the past few days and I could really do with a bit of peace before dh gets home. Alana isnt well so she cant help being a pain, Ethan is just talking all the time or sulking if he cant get his own way but Jordan is really giving me grief. Nothing we say, do, promise, threaten etc seems to get through to him and beleive me we have tried everything. Im at my wits end, he has annoyed/upset me so much these past two days that I cant stand to be near him which sounds awful and makes me feel really bad but Ive had enough of the stress he is causing. Dh knows whats going on but due to the hours he works he's not here when J is playing up. Perhaps its the time of year and the hormones that are making it seem worse than it is but I hope things improve soon

Anyway enough of me moaning. Im off to have a Lion Bar Hot Chocolate and try to wrap a few prezzies before bed.

Night!!

Themasterandsnowballs · 04/12/2008 04:54

Bah, I don't what is going on with my email but I have emailed those who have contacted me

largeginandtonic · 04/12/2008 07:59

the tea!!! Am a terrible host. Thank goodness for gingerbread

I do not look amazing, i am vast DH said last night he thinks i look the same as when i had Beau FGS am going to be a monster if she stays in for the next 6 weeks.

She swung round the back last night (first time) and it felt terrible. I had lots of backache and half thought something may be going on. My norks have gone ballistic too. They are leaking and doing that let down fizzy thing. Normally the baby is out before any of that. I have that desperate urge to feed a baby, ya know?

Scoot hope you rested some last night, did dh go shopping?

Abby what a nightmare for you, the Xmas hols will be a welcome rest in your house.

MKG how are things now?

April will text that addy to you later

MrsJB who is TA? Is she on my FB? I will have to look. Am busy today so may not get a chance.

I have dd Endocrinology app this morning, her play to see at 1.30. Then she is home for a quick snack before her Brownie Disco at 5.15-6.45. Back in to school for her second performance at 7pm. The twins have their disco tonight from 7-8.30 too!!! Blardy hell. Why all on one day, i mean is it necessary!!!

April forgot to say that dd has been pouring over the teeny girl clothes she is desperate for her to come out and wear them

Must dress the millions and pack them off to school. It is raining alot here and is freezing. Nooooooooo.

Pinkjennybellrock · 04/12/2008 09:28

LG&T - biscuits trump tea IMO, and AM said she had a wonderful time. at the fabulous dress making skills of dh!

AM - keep me updated on the MIL saga!

Scoot - hope you are all feeling a little better today. My mum loves Duffy, I always feel like she needs a wash. Duffy, not my mum. Does Barry on Saturday count as a 'gig'? Thought not.

TMAM - L has always had a tendency to be a little clingy, but she is definitely going through a 'mummy' phase at the moment. What fun!

Pebble - as you know, I have nothing other than sympathy to offer on the sleep front, however L is doing quite well at the mo! No more Mr. Tumble at 3am.

Jam - my BF has now resorted to long walks (in the rain) and ate a whole pineapple last night, still no baby. She is getting seriously hacked off with the whole affair now!

Nothing to report really. The nursery was waxing lyrical about L yesterday when I picked her up, telling me what good manners she has, how she is very sensitive to the feelings of others, very caring and gentle etc etc. So now I feel it is important for me to start worrying that she is going to be a prime candidate for bullying. Only joking.

I am literally peeing myself with excitement over this weekend. A whole weekend with the girls (or one girl, to be exact). Do you have a friend like this, where you find each other mutually hilarious and spend all your time giggling in a raucous manner? That's us. Am very excited. Can you tell? Just two days of MN work to get through first.

Aprilmeadow · 04/12/2008 10:32

Hope P's appointment goes well today and that you manage to get to and from all the other appointments you have. Just make sure that you rest between now and when you have to go out. We dont want baby girl arriving this side of Xmas!

JAM got my fingers crossed that it wont be too much longer for you.

Scoot I hope you are resting after your eventful evening.

Just sitting here writing my many xmas cards and realised that i have no idea what CM's dh or dd is called! Anyone able to offer any suggestions. Would text her but my phone has decided not to let me send texts!

MKG · 04/12/2008 10:44

I all. I'm feeling much better. I did get to clean the house yesterday so I woke up to a clean house, and I fell asleep at 8pm which is why I'm wide awake now at 20 to six. Just sipping my tea and having some shortbread cookies. I was brave and got on the scale this morning and have still only gained 5.8 pounds so I'm happy considering I still have 50 pounds of baby weight from Cruz to lose .

I did some Christmas shopping so now I have a lot less to worry about, and now I can focus on what I'll bake this year.

I love being awake before the boys wake up. It's so peaceful in my house.

TheGreatChristmasEvie · 04/12/2008 11:06

at your weekend PJ..And at the Hugs from Hugs AM
What I wouldnt give for a peaceful house MKG.

Hope your day goes well gin.Freezing rain here too (no snow ho hum)and I do have to go shopping today as DH failed resoundingly last night as he didnt feel well either He has still gone to work however.Where I have had to take another day off to look after the girls and work are pissed off with me, am running out of carers and sick leave and will be swamped when I get back in.

On the other hand am too tired and fucked to work anyway

M started crying last night at about 2am.I went into her as was up with L who had just made herself sick through coughing. Her cot was covered in blood. It was everywhere. In her hair, all over her face.I screamed for DH to come as I couldnt even tell where she was bleeding from.Eventually we managed to find that she was having a gushy nose bleed (by which time she was panicking, L was screaming and still covered in sick, you get the picture..)Nosebleeds always look worse than they are I think..and this one looked like the scene in the Godfather with the Horses head
We called the emergency Dr who advised to take her to a and e if it didnt stop after an hour.So M and I went to a and e at 3am and they were just about to quarterize when it stopped.
She is fine now (asleep but seems ok other than her cold)L also asleep.
I cant sleep as am totally wound up about EVERYTHING!

I think I am going to have to cancel DH's surprise party.Mum and Dad were going to come to look after the girls (it is in London and DH and I were staying over)but Mum has just called to say both her and my Dad are still poorly. It has gone on for weeks so I dont see them suddenly getting better for next weekend
TBH Am not in the mood for a party anyway
Cancel DH's birthday.Cancel mine.Cancel bloody Christmas.BAH!

Pinkjennybellrock · 04/12/2008 11:09

Scoot - what a shit night. Sorry to swear, but I think it is warranted. Could I offer a 'things can only get better' sentiment, and perhaps a neat glass of vodka? Next weekend is still 9 days off - don't cancel in haste, it may still be OK.

Pinkjennybellrock · 04/12/2008 11:10

Or even a glass of neat vodka?

TheGreatChristmasEvie · 04/12/2008 11:12

It wont be OK.I am sobbing.
And vodka makes me sick.Have you any gin?(only if the glass is very clean and tidy though )

Pinkjennybellrock · 04/12/2008 11:17

Gin is making it's way down the M6 as we speak. Have a good sob for a while, always makes you feel much better, in a Scarlett O'Hara moment way.

Aprilmeadow · 04/12/2008 11:28

Bloody Hell Scoot. I am so sorry that you are going through all these bugs and worries. I wish you lived local and then i could pop in with tea and cake and the kids come and play whilst you had a sleep.

Pinkjennybellrock · 04/12/2008 11:38

I cannot bear the MMR threads on this site. Seriously, every time I make the decision that L is going to have it (and book another appointment), someone comes along with their hideous tales of autism.
