Well..I am supposedto be on a train into London with my two BF's for a day of shopping and lunch with much wine.
Of course Lily has been up all night with a cough and a temperature, Mae has been sick three times, (first time at 6am), DH feels ill with a sore throat and a headache and I dont feel too great either.
No change here then. Its all getting a bit boring now.

Well done Charley.Happy Birthday dear mini mouse, happy birthday to you..

I wonder if Tilly is awake yet, her first day as Mrs Tilly

I have got the new Killers album.I am going to listen to it 20 times and learn all the words in the manner of a 14 year old to get through it.

AbbyLou · 30/11/2008 20:36

Hello all! I am still here. I've read through every message and so much has happened so I'm wimping out of a catch up comments thread I'm afraid.
Just a few ((hugs)) to CM, glad it all went well.
I have been soooo busy hence the lack of posting and things were beginning to get on top of me. I was struggling to work out my priorities for a while and I'm afraid mn had to come low down. Fortunately my mini-meltdown is now over and I'm back, raring to go. My fabulous dh took me away this weekend to Whitby and we left the kids with grandparents. It was the first time we have been away without them since R was born so it was a big treat. We had an amazing time in a lovely B+B we know. We had views of the sea, lovely cooked breakfasts and tea at The Magpie last night. I feel totally and utterly refreshed, it couldn't have come at a better time. There's three weeks left at work until we finish for Christmas and I'm determined to stay on top of things.
So, hopefully, I'll be around a bit more to post and keep up with you guys. I missed it.

SKYTVADDICT · 01/12/2008 09:22

Hi AL, I have been the same I think and can barely keep up, let alone post but I am going to try. DD2 off sick today feeling sick apparently but what do you do? She went to her first sleepover sat night and had a really late night, early morning, sang in the christingle at church with school choir yesterday and didn't get to bed very early last night. The house she stayed at though had all had a sick bug, wed, thur and fri!

Sorry to hear about your nan CM.

Hope you had a lovely weekend Tilly.

Hope all yours are better Scoot - blardy kids and illnesses, think you, I and LG&T have had our fair share for a while!

TYG - I loved your post about the "good" things and am going to try and make a list too! I need something to keep me sane in the darker times (i.e. when C won't put coat, hat, gloves etc on or get in the car or get in the pushchair and L just screams for no apparent reason and DD1 is stropping with DD2 and they are screaming at/hitting each other! And Yes this does all happen at once!)

Quick question as I haven't been round much but what happened to LookattheLottie? She has disappeared from facebook too. Does anyone know?

MmeJaffa1ofyour5aday · 01/12/2008 09:22

Ahhh abby what a lovely dh you have. Glad you are feeling a bit better. ((hugs))

CM how you feeling today sweetie?

AM CP sounds fun! J must have been the most adorable assistant Ever.

LG&T still with Girlie? Hoping all is quiet on the western front.

I am trying to stay positive..... I am so up and down atm. I have stopped my Pill in the hope that maybe it may be the effects of that. Best keep the dh away now then. I hate the winter, I know thats half the problem. It's sooooooo boring here during the winter and my fall out with friend last week has rocked my boat a little too. I feel so unfit, I have pilled on the pounds since giving up smoking, so I don't feel great about my self, but I can't get into the right frame of mind to do anything about it. It's too cold to get the bike out so it's one vicious circle. This time of year is such a worry for work too which makes my stomache sommersault everytime I think about it.

I am really looking forward to Christmas though, next weekend we will turn Les Cerises into the Jaffa grotto. It's just the 7 of us this year, no visitors staying so we are hoping to just chill!

Must stop rambling and get some jobs done.

Have a great day all.

PJ, send me an e-mail, I want to hear the goss from the meet. cathalix2004 at hotmail dot com

MmeJaffa1ofyour5aday · 01/12/2008 09:24

Scoot sorry, I meant to say I really hope things improve soon for you, you seem to have had a real time of it lately. Shame about the trip to London would have been great for you.

MmeJaffaB · 01/12/2008 09:31

.

Aprilmeadow · 01/12/2008 10:08

MrsJB he was so cute! Everytime the magician asked for a helper he had his arms in the air and was so disappointed when not chosen. During the meal break i asked if there was any way that J could be his helper and he said of course and told J what words to listen out for. Have put some piccies on FB. He was so chuffed that he got to help

twelveyeargap · 01/12/2008 11:35

Tilly - I hope your day was utterly wonderful. Come and tell us about it asap.

CM - So sorry again about your nana. Your DD sounds lovely. Well done for holding it all together and organising a lovely send off.

LG&T - Can't believe they all had S&D again. (I can't write V&D without seeing it as VD...) Are you talking about a meet on Weds?

Mam left this morning. I'm traumatised. I really tried to make her visit nice, but apparently I am "a disaster". She is not speaking to DH and is so convinced he has it in for her that I ended up telling her not to bother visiting again. I am so past caring. Details later, after I've had another 25 cups of tea for the delayed shock.

Themasterandmargaritas · 01/12/2008 11:48

Mothers eh? Who'd have em.

Sky wow take a breath. Between you, LG&T and Scoot you must have share enough of illness for the next year. Scoot are you all feeling a bit better?

MrsJB, MAN UP! Try a bit of running it really knackers perks you up. Alternatively I say crack open the gin. Fingers crossed there is some work soon for A.

Did dh survive the stag do April? CP sounds like great fun, maybe we will investigate it in the summer.

I can't be bothered to flounce any more it is so last year. But I'm not going to whittle away time in active convos on pointless threads, no sireee, no more pointless threads, I'll just have a quick peek first though in case I am missing anything too exciting...

Themasterandmargaritas · 01/12/2008 11:51

I forgot to say well done to you charley (I did do it in my head and then realised I was flouncing and hadn't posted it ). And a belated happy birthday to dd, did you all have a lovely day to celebrate?

Hmmmm when do you think MrsTilly may reappear? I can't wait to see pics of her in her red dress.

Aprilmeadow · 01/12/2008 11:58

No stag do for dh TMAM. He was on a works conference. Sunshine (our company) won 3 awards out of 12 which is brilliant. Up late every night so will be knackered tonight. Am hoping that he is too knackered to notice the mess!

JamInMyWellies · 01/12/2008 12:33

HI all,

SKY I too was wondering about LW weird she popped into my head the other day. Hows the sleeping going.

ABBEY some times life takes over am really glad oyu had a lovely wkend away and you feel refreshed ready to tackle the last few wks of term.

AM thanks for the b-day card you are just way too organised. Sounds like CP was fun.

MrsJB, I know what you mean the days are just so short and its freezing. What you need is a dog that will get you out and about do you want to borrow mine . Remember the weight you have gained from not smoking will come off again and you are ultimitley much more healthy now.

Scoot, LG&T hows the vom and poo and snot ridden households?

CM well done for getting through Friday.

Wonder how Tilly's wedding went.

Thankyou for my secret santa which arrived this weekend as soon as January hits it will take pride of place on the fridge.

Still no sign of this bubba arriving. We gave the P&T a bloody good scrub at the weekend as I have knackered it by tramping through the fields it was truly disgusting and DP was having a hernia about putting it in the car and making a mess. GOd how rock n roll is my life cleaning a buggy.

TYG hows things lovey what happened with you mum?

Themasterandmargaritas · 01/12/2008 16:20

oops sorry April. Gosh they are really doing well aren't they? Awards coming at them all over the place.

LW is still on FB, I think she got fed up of us all here. She deleted me then reaccepted my friend request. Lottie is looking very very cute, and I think she has moved into her own place now.

Cheers y'all for all your VD chat - your germs have made it across the lands and landed here. I had the d part this morning, but did a 10k run and have been feeling rubbish all day. Though to be honest i've only had a couple of slices of toast, a banana and a couple of choccy biscuits to keep me going. I'm going to trough my face now on some pizza and salad and see what happens.

Jam, secret santa already! Why can't you use it until January???! I forgot to tell you we now have 2 dogs - we rescued a 4 year old from some people who were leaving and her and Mindy are currently 'getting to know one another'. Mindy is scaring her shitless. But it has stopped Mindy from annoying us all the time, so there is your solution. Why not make your life even more complicated by not just adding a new baby but another dog too?

elkiedee · 01/12/2008 17:16

Sorry to hear your mum's visit was such a fiasco TYG

Hope everyone feeling sick, mums and LOs, feels better soon.

I'm trying to finish a really tedious task at work, sigh.

Can't wait until about 5.30 on 19 December - am back in here after NY probably but only for a couple of days. I don't really have much time left, none of next 3 weeks are going to be full weeks in the office, still seems too long.

Pebblemum · 01/12/2008 23:16

Evening all

Yet another quick visit from me. I just dont know where all the hours go in a day. I always plan to get on here for a chat but then before I know it, its 11pm and Im off to bed.

Congrats to Mr&Mrs Tilly, hope the day was all you wished for and more

Charley sorry to hear about your nan

LG&T glad the bug seems to have left your house at last amd that LO is still hanging on in there, you cant have her before january otherwise I will be soo jealous

I dont know why but im finding this pregnancy to be a lot more annoying that the others. The baby seems to love curling up under my ribs making it really uncomfortable, Ive been getting really bad BH's all week and as for bending down to pick things up, well that is almost impossible lol. Ive already suffered piles (which I never ever get until after the birth) and now I have thrush (Sorry TMI but im sooo annoyed) Ive never had it before and never wish to have it again. Ive still got 7wks to go I keep wishing the midwfie would call to say that sorry they got the dates wrong and im actually due in dec but unfortunately thats not very likely, I can dream though lol. I still havent had to buy any maternity clothes my usual jeans are still wearable yet my bump looks huge, its very odd indeed. Not that im complaining.

Still havent chosen a name I quite like: Adam, Aidan, Alfie, Riley, Ryan, Tre or Ty but im not sure which if any of them I prefer. Dh mentioned Deacon but I know a boy called that and he's so annoying that its put me off the name. Dont you hate it when that happens lol

Ive almost finished my Xmas shopping. Just need something for my nephews and Im done although I keep buying more and more for my DC's. It seems everytime I go out I see yet more bargains for them. ALana is driving me mad with the christmas catalogues. We have quite a collection ie boots, woolies, argos etc and everytime I sit down she grabs one, sits on my lap and makes me look at all the toys she wants, mainly dolls although she has now started on about a mini trampoline. Just to make sure you know what she is looking at she will push your head gently towards the book, point to your eye and then to the picture

She still doesnt speak much but in the past week she has learnt to say foot, eye, bum, poo (the last two taught to her by her darling brothers), milk, hat and a few others so she is getting there slowly. Ethan was the same though, slow starting but now he doesnt shut up lol, so im not worried.

largeginandtonic · 02/12/2008 09:36

Ello ello

TYG i am gutted about your mum What happened? April is coming tomorrow avo for a visit. I have the consultant in the morning so should be back by lunchtime. You are very welcome and i would love to squish the boy

MrsJB what Jam said about the weight, you are much healthier now. The weight is easier to shift in the New Year you know that. You may as well relax a few weeks and think about it then. We can do it together then as i need to shift about 2 stone i expect.

Pebble at you fitting in your jeans, pregnancy does become more annoying the more you have. Your muscles are rubbish and you know what is to come Tis fab From your names i like Riley and Deacon, have you thought about Devon? (i always liked it but having lived in Devon was too weird)

We have bought the girl her car seat, did i tell you that? It is the Jane Strata and it fits in the car as is has a special seatbelt route for cars with short seatbelts. I have thrown a pair of jammas, some maternity pads and a TNS machine in my hospital bag. Thats ok right? Hoping my mum (she comes this weekend) will be bringing babygros and vests for her. She may well be cold otherwise.

Jam not long now... am so excited for you

My sis in law had booked and paid for us all to go to the Lapland in Ringwood, you know the one in the news atm for being crap I am really hoping she can get her money back. The bastards. The kids are going to be so disappointed

How is evryone else? I should be making cakes for Hugo's cake sale tomorrow but cant fathom the energy. I feel so guilty though!

largeginandtonic · 02/12/2008 09:37

Oh and the bug is gone...

Pinkjennybellrock · 02/12/2008 09:48

Hello ladies.

Meet up was, er, interesting, as all those who mobile numbers I have will have discovered. Anyhoo, suwoo is fab! We did get chatted up, and now they are all wondering if I have left the country with 'scarfman'.

And that's it.

Scoot - Has someone put a hex on you? Having said that, I feel like L has been constantly ill for months, with the cough and cold combination. She was absolutely brilliant yesterday, and I really noticed, which must mean she hasn't been herself for ages.

LG&T - so glad the bug has gone. I was talking about you on Saturday night. All good, of course, to wotulookinat and throttle. And my new best friend, Suwoo of course! I kept saying, 'my group' this and 'my group' that, they must have been praying for me to bugger off back to you all.

My BF is due on Friday. I went to see her yesterday, she is all bump. I jump every time the phone goes now!

TYG - you are the farthest thing from a 'disaster' I've ever come across. Get your mum to come and spend a couple of hours with me.

largeginandtonic · 02/12/2008 09:59

Does Suwoo have purple hair? I love her, she is cutting and funny.

Scoot cant believe the kids are ill agagin and you didnt manage your night out It is getting beyond a joke, look after yourself my lovely.

Secret santa already! Mine is still not bought, must get on that

The boys are fighting, B pins H down and pulls his hair. I am sick of shouting at them.

Must write Christmas cards today, am getting behind. They have been sat looking at me since Sturday.

Pinkjennybellrock · 02/12/2008 10:02

Yes she does have purple hair - it's gorgeous. She had dyed it on Saturday and her forehead was pink - covered by her fringe, luckily!

I need to buy my Xmas cards today. I put a nice pic of L in last year, but she is soooo hard to get a picture of, because as soon as we get the camera out, she runs towards you and tries to get it off you. Gah!

largeginandtonic · 02/12/2008 10:08

Oooh purple hair, i would like purple hair. There is an advery on TV atm with someone with that coloured hair. It is luverly.

B poses for the camera, he has also taken to poncing in front of the mirror talking to himself. Now i am pointing no fingers ---> DH i have noooo idea where he gets it from...

Pinkjennybellrock · 02/12/2008 10:14

She looks very much like Liz McLarnon of Atomic Kitten. And they said I look like Melinda Messenger (which I get all the time (yawn), even more when I was blonde.

I wish L was like that. Trying to get a nice picture is impossible. As is trying to tie her hair back. It all falls in her eyes, drives me mad. She won't let me put any bobbles in it (she lets the carers at nursery though), and just pulls clips out and threatens to swallow them.

TheGreatScootini · 02/12/2008 11:08

L has an ear infection and an unbelievable cough. She is on antibiotics.M has a cough. Both of them have conjunctivitus and can hardly see with all the vile gunk. Both are up all night, cough cough.I am more than fed up.Plus I feel like shite.
L wont eat.Nothing.Not even chocolate.I dont know what to do
I am off with them today.DH was off yesterday.Fuck knows what we will do tomorrow as I have a huge meeting and DH cant really have any more time off.I am hoping they are better enough for CM but I doubt it and I cant send them if they are poorly, not fair to them or to her.

My Mum could have come this week but my brother asked her to sit for his DS as they couldnt find anyone else to do it,(and they didnt want to take time off work ).Because Mum hasnt seen much of the DS (story for another time, upshot is my brother is acting like a total twat)I said she should go there and we would sort ourselves out.My Mum has a slight cold (same as 50% of the nation surely?)My Brother called on Sunday night and said she shouldnt go to their house in case DS caught it.FFS!!

We cant get pictures of our girls either for same reason PJ..I have got L one of thos digital cameras from Fisher Price for Christmas in the vain hope it will mean she wont be after ours all the time and we will actually get a photo of her for once.

re your Mother TYG..What happened?

Big hello to everyone else..dont come near.I have been hexed and I dont want it to rub off on anyone.

OP posts:
Pinkjennybellrock · 02/12/2008 11:12

I think you're amazing Scoot - I honestly think of you all the time when L is unwell and I want to scream, I can't imagine coping as well as you do.

Most of the mothers at the meet up on Sat had LOs battling coughs, colds and conjunctivitis. What a fun time of year!
