I love Mrs Fields!!!!

largeginandtonic · 11/01/2009 18:40

I have a few of her books, old ones though. I love her too. I have all the cup measures here that i had to buy when i was given them. We had American students for years and they knew i loved baking and would send them over. I had to decipher a lot of ingredients!!

Sooo how is everyone?

I just spoke to my sil, i heard my nephew squeaking in the background!!! He sounds sooo sweet

My baby is never coming out. Clearly i will be here tomorrow, i may beg for induction at the weekend even though i don't really want it

MmeJaffaB · 11/01/2009 20:08

She is gonna come out........ honest guv! Soon, I'd bet big bucks on it! Go for a run along the beach.

All OK here, Jorja chipped a front toof this morning, I'm very gutted. It's cracked horizontally about half way up too so not sure what'll hapen with it. Fortunately the chip is not too bad so I hope it holds on. It was of course accompanied by a fat lip. Poor thing. Shouldn't be copying her big sister and jumping off my computer stool should she? (bad mommy)

off out tomorow, J has a specialist appointment in the morning for her duck feet! I'm not worried, I don't think they are too bad but our GP suggested she was seen by a specialist. It's procedure here, pass the ishhooo to someone else. Then mum and I are going wallpaper shopping. We are re-decorating the guest bathroom as it is horrible (mum choses the last lot) in need of some freshening up. It's also Sale time here. Set times in France, So we'll have a potter about the town.

Hope tonight is the night gin!

Themasterandmargaritas · 12/01/2009 11:26

Has she come out yet, has she?? Patience patience, isn't today her ETA? You have at least a whole week to wait yet.

Enjoy the shopping MrsJB, has the snow gone?

SKY how did the weekend go? Did you all cope ok? Is Freya on the mend?

April, I have been meaning to say, that I racked my brains back to when B was J's age and I remember my angel boy turning into a devil child at that age. It's to do with a surge of male hormones they get between 3 and 4.5 which 'turns' them into proper little boys. They get louder and shoutier and agressive and moody until it settles down and they grow into themselves. You will be pleased to know B is back to his usual angel self so it really is just a phase, a difficult one, but hopefully he will come through it and out the other side in a matter of some months. School/nursery/being outdoors helped a lot...

MKG are you all now a snot free zone?

Listen.....

....that's the sound of me meditating. Yes meditating. The girls weekend was fun, I did a lot of yoga and a fair amount of meditating, lots of spiritual discussions and a fair bit of wine drinking. The funniest bit was doing walking meditation, where all 8 of us walked around a lovely grassy knoll in the sunshine slowly placing one foot in front of the other, holding our arms out to the side looking down. We looked like a bunch of mental asylum escapees. I found it difficult not to laugh on several occasions! Still it was lovely to be away from the dc and we a clear view of Mount Kenya all day in the sunshine.

NimChimpsky · 12/01/2009 12:27

MKG I love you, truly I do.

Received my SS this morning and have sobbed. Have been virus stricken for a week and have bleeding/chapped hands and lips. I've cracked open your present and it's like divine intervention.

I can't stop looking through it. It's lovely and right up my street. I love it. Really, really love it.

[sob]

MKG · 12/01/2009 12:28

Well we aren't officially snot free, but we are on the road to recovery now.

Was officially 32 weeks yesterday, so now am feeling like the day is approaching.

Don't worry LG&T, it will happen when it happens.

MKG · 12/01/2009 12:31

I'm glad it found you, I guess a little late worked out for the best.

SKYTVADDICT · 12/01/2009 15:44

Hello all

Just popping in again at a quiet (ish) moment!

Tonsilectomy went well but she is still suffering. Was fanatistic Friday and Saturday morning but on getting home Saturday pm started feeling unwell.
Not eaten at all Sunday and only a small amount today. Even though I keep quoting what the nurse said to eat little and often. My mum persuaded her to eat some hula hoops this morning and she is sipping ice cold water and warm tea with sugar in. Slept twice today so fingers crossed she will eat again when she wakes up.

When I was in hospital friday nigth they all coped. L had a bottle at 3.45am and C woke up, stood up and went back to sleep ! Very strange - must have known DP couldn't manage them both !

L getting restless now in the Bumbo so had better go.

Fingers crossed for you LG&T.

largeginandtonic · 12/01/2009 16:01

Glad dd is ok Sky, when it all goes tight it feels worse, hope it feels better soon. Hooray the boys were ok too, you must leave them more often

Who is the ss recipient??? What was it?

Master your weekend sounds fab!! The wine and walking round meditating Wish i could have watched.

She stayed in for you to come back

TheGreatScootini · 12/01/2009 17:49

No baby yet?!
I think the early hours of Thursday morn..Dh will get his pass results and you will get your baby..that is the word of Scoot and so it shall be!>>adopts booming Godly tone

Themasterandmargaritas · 12/01/2009 20:04

Scoot, go for the new job. I reckon the change in commute would make all the difference.

Right oh Ginlady. Now I am back, this baby can come - I can feel it in my orange chakra that she is coming tonight, it is either that or I need a good seeing to.

If you need hand holding I will be good around 4am your time, as it will be 7am here, so don't hesitate to ask.

MmeJaffaB · 12/01/2009 21:11

I'm actaually feeling quite excited for you lg&t, I keep lurking for news every time I come home from some where.
You could always ease my suspense by changing your MSN status to busy at the time.

Will N get time off, is it still 2 weeks paternity, how does it work there now?

Master your trip sounded fab.

Scoot, try for the job, no commute will make a huge difference and the change of clients/staff etc... will be great. I've been worrying about you there, I know what sort of stress you can go through in that kind of job. ((hugs))

SKY glad things went ok with Dd and the boys were good. You should get away more often.

MmeJaffaB · 12/01/2009 21:12

AM you OK?

MKG · 13/01/2009 00:03

LG&T---The recipient was SOH.

Pinkjenny · 13/01/2009 10:31

Check out what I've bought with my vouchers, just need a baby now...

here and here

MmeJaffaB · 13/01/2009 12:03

LOVE the baby bag! just got home PJ, will reply to your e-mail a little later. x

twelveyeargap · 13/01/2009 13:49

Scoot, a few people on MN have tried "wake to sleep" successfully for a waking habit like M's. (You know it's a habit because it's the same time every night.)

You go in to her an hour before her waking time, (so 11pm) "settle" her by rousing her just enough to disturb her a little, but not completely wake up. It's supposed to break the sleeping pattern just enough to break the waking habit. You have to do it for at least 3 nights in a row. It's a Baby Whisperer technique. Some people swear by it. Haven't tried it myself, but it's worth a shot if you've tried everything else.

Pinkjenny · 13/01/2009 14:04

It's better than the "Balamory to sleep" technique that we use!

JamInMyWellies · 13/01/2009 14:29

PJ is that a sheepskin sling/babybjorn thing? If so I could use it and decorate it beautifully with Lachlan's puke.

LG&T 4 more days i think, go get accupuncture did the trick for me.

Scoot I have used the wake to sleep with a baby I looked after works a treat. Also I vote for the new job things would be much easier for oyu without that horrible commute.

MrsJbh how was the shopping and how is J's tooth? A has a wonky tooth as well he fell over with a whistle in his chops a few wks ago and one of his teeth is pushed tight back.

SKY glad to hear all went well with Freya will she eat soup?

TMAM you are sounding all a bit zen.

All ok here mini munchkin is doing well last night he fed at 10.30 and then went till 4.30 before feeding again he then slept till 8.00 shame he doesnt do that every night as I have actually managed to straighten my hair and put make-up on.

Only fly in our ointment was finding out yesterday that DP only got 1wk at reg pay for paternity and the 2nd wk was stat hence our major panic at us having literally not a bean to our names. Tis so annoying as he works for the same Bank but changed from Capital to Wealth. [grrr]

largeginandtonic · 13/01/2009 14:32

Why do you have posh Blossom vouchers???! The sling and bag look gorgeous!

Scoot nice to see you The new job could be just what you need, i say go for it and see. Your ss pressie sounds lovely! I love my stilla lip glaze

I have been having proper pains on and off all day, they started at 4.28. I get a few then they tail off, so could be it. Will be calling the midwife later if it continues as i want to know if it is doing anything to my cervix or just faffing.

My heartburn is ridiculous, i have nearly been sick and sent dh out to the shop at 9 the other night as it was unbearable and i had run out. Never has it been so bad

I need a crochet hook, anyone?

Pinkjenny · 13/01/2009 14:40

Oooooh, exciting LG&T!!!! I won the vouchers in a competition, handy really, what with me not being pregnant and all. It's all proving to be a bit of a pain, and I am currently arguing with their On-line Manager, and I have MNHQ in the middle of it. We love a good barney, us Scousers!

Jam - he's doing great!! Pics please.

largeginandtonic · 13/01/2009 14:43

Oooh what a lovely thing to win! Stop arguing and be calm

Jam he sounds gorgeous we need recent pics please. Do your hair and make up indeed, still have not done that from having Beau

I just had a huge one, am sat on the contraction timer thingy now. I am sort of hopeful. Can't quite belive it could be anything though as am only a day late!

Pinkjenny · 13/01/2009 14:48

Oooooh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

More gorgeous babies! I'm not jealous at all.

Can I just ask when this 'mummy mummy mummy mummy mummmeeeeeeeee' stage ends? Never? Right-o.

JamInMyWellies · 13/01/2009 15:05

oooh how exciting. Dont leave it too long before calling the midwife. Have you got childcare sorted?

Tillyscoutsmum · 13/01/2009 15:17

Oooh - come on baby gin - I had you down for today so you have approximately 8 and a half hours to get her out and for me to be right and win the prize (something big and expensive will be fine )

Do any of you have serial climbers ?? Tilly is driving me insane. I spend all day saying "no Tilly", "get down, Tilly", "stop climbing Tilly". I'm getting on my own nerves with my constant nagging but she never stops climbing. Ever ...
