Have sent and received. Am wearing my new gun metal grey nail varnish, as advised by some magazine or another. Hmmm, not sure.

MKG · 08/01/2009 16:24

OH PJ I have to tell you that the last episode of season 4 of Grey's is really good. I haven't been watching season 5 too much, but what I've seen it's been good. I just can't stand Meredith at all

MKG · 08/01/2009 16:25

I have received, but and I sent mine out, but don't know when it will be received.

Pinkjenny · 08/01/2009 16:27

No me neither, MKG. That voice grates on me. I was disappointed with Series 3, particularly the George and Izzie storyline which I find ridiculous. And despite the homophobia controversy (yes, I watch E! News religiously , I really found Dr. Burke very very sexy. And I didn't like the way he went out of it, I didn't believe it. I hope that series 4 is better. Although my advisor assures me that the McDreamy/Meredith debate is still running on! I actually really liked Addison's character, so have pre-ordered Private Practice on Amazon.

largeginandtonic · 08/01/2009 16:31

Oh CM I am so sorry my lovely. I hope it wont be long before you see that BFP again. You are doing well still feeding G, i couldnt imagine the beast that is B still feeding.

He was playing with a hacksaw this afternoon! He found it lurking in the computer room. I mean imagine that attached to your nork, nooooooo

MKG hope you come out of snotsville soon.

Pink i though L had had her Measles jab, blame the mushy pregnancy brain. I suggest you have a drink before taking her

AprilMeadow · 08/01/2009 16:35

Can i just say how much i am hating my assignment at the moment! I have to create a staff questionnaire based on Training Needs and am struggling to think of the right questions. Also, i dont know if its a good q'aire or not as i have never done one before - arrrggghhhhh

Pinkjenny · 08/01/2009 16:40

It might help to get an idea of their aspirations/current performance in job role. You need to help them identify the gaps either in their current role, or the gaps that will prevent them from getting promoted to whatever role they want. It's going to be mighty difficult for you to start with nothing - so you need to get them thinking about that first. Only once you've identified where the development areas are will you be able to see what training is required, and how you can fulfil that training need, i.e. course, coaching blah blah blah.

HTH

MKG · 08/01/2009 16:44

PJ-don't get me started on Dr. Burke. It just isn't the same since he left.

Don't bother with private practice. It's not that great. The show is basically Grey's Anatomy, in California. The best part is Taye Diggs though. I wouldn't mind a little private practice with him.

Pinkjenny · 08/01/2009 16:45

I really enjoyed the episodes where she was in California. I did not however, enjoy the episode where Meredith was supposed to be dead.

MmeJaffaB · 08/01/2009 17:37

Apologies to AM, even more reason to leg it if it was PJ.

AM, I can't imagine doing all that studying again, you are doing so well.

slap & tickle didn't get things going then lg&t? Stick with the 7 whole pineapples.

elkiedee · 08/01/2009 21:33

Sorry to hear your news CM

SKYTVADDICT · 08/01/2009 22:22

Sorry to hear your news CM. Feed yourself -really? I can nowhere near reach!

I too was wondering about the secret santas and if everyone received yet.

Just starting to worry now about DD2 having her tonsils out tomorrow. Decided not to take Lewis overnight but DP will stay with him in the hospital so I can feed him all day but bring him home at night. Jam - I don't think I could try the ex b/f bit as I think they may notice his bottle at bed time .

I am still up as I have been trying to make sure everyone has clothes etc for the next couple of days as I am so far behind with the washing. I have 4 pairs of DD1s knickers going round in the washer (rinse and spin cycle) as that is all we are short of LOL and I can't go to bed until they are finished.

Signing off for the weekend as must give DD2 lots of attention.

largeginandtonic · 09/01/2009 08:17

Hope it goes well Sky, dd was fine when she had her adenoids out. Recovery was super quick. Lots of ice cream for afterwards and a lovely treat Sure little Lewis will be fine too, they are always ok if you are not there to cling too.

Full moon on Sunday think it will help my chances? Couldn't be bothered with slap and tickle, went to bed at 930. Was too tired for labour.

TYG how are the children today? Hope they are a little better. Been thinking about them.

B was up singing for hours in the night, he has now crashed asleep again right before we all have to get up. Think i will be coat and blankets over jammas in the buggy at this rate! Little beast. Still singing better than crying i suppose.

FLF is niggling again on the other thread, fingers crossed for her this time.

Pinkjenny · 09/01/2009 09:27

Thinking of you today Sky. A colleague of mine's 3yo ds had his out in the summer. He had been collapsing and everything due to low blood sugar when his throat was too sore to eat. He's fine now, and came through the op completely unscathed.

LG&T - B is such a treasure. L was soooo naughty last night and this morning, she's obviously making up for a few days of near-perfect behaviour. Have had to cancel the blasted measles jab as she is full of cold and has a temp. Is in a fortnight now, when she will probably still be full of cold. Two days back at nursery and the snot returns.

Am off to read my 800th book on toddler sleep. Feel really tearful today for some reason.

Will be sending good luck vibes to FLF.

largeginandtonic · 09/01/2009 10:16

B just stuck a raisin up his nose in the back of the car as i was driving back from Playschool Had to pull over and retrieve it as he was shoving it further up with his finger! He is obsessed with all things nose atm, the kids have taught him to pick his nose and wipe it one ME! FFS. What can you do?!

I have just baked Nigellas old fashioned chocolate cake and scrubbed the entire fridge out. B has eaten a bowl of sugar puffs, a yoghurt and yet more raisins while i have been doing it. Still he was quiet i suppose.

Poor old A, hope she improves. Toddlers starts back Monday and although i want to go with B i am not sure i can be bothered with the inevitable bug. He is snotty today anyway.

AprilMeadow · 09/01/2009 10:35

Sorry LG&T but i did have to laugh at B being trained to wipe snot!

Sky, i hope everything goes well today.

Nothing particularly exciting to report here...

MKG · 09/01/2009 12:15

LOL at the snot!

Yesterday Mateo stuck decided he needed to feed his baby sister, so he stuck a raisin in my belly button. The sad part is that I couldn't get out for the longest time.

JamInMyWellies · 09/01/2009 12:30

Charley so sorry lovey.

LG&T pass some of that cake here my mum made it the other wk tis delish. Bless B sounds delightful

Oh had the boy weighed yesterdaY he is a chunky 10lb already.

twelveyeargap · 09/01/2009 13:20

Laugh, laugh. Oh dear. That is a classic.

I just realised that I never thanked my SS. I loved it. I never think of having a bath, despite having the kids in there every night. We only have a shower in our bathroom, but the lovely oils make it worthwhile. I really have no idea who it was. Oh, maybe I do. I have just confirmed SKY as a FB Friend. The request is from just before Christmas... Really hope DD is ok today. What a palarver with the feeding and everything. You poor thing.

O had a bottle at bedtime last night. It's kind of sad and also a bit of a relief that I can sometimes hand over to DH now. Will prob carry on BF til the end of the month then call it a day. I don't have it in me to do any longer. I start feeling resentful of being so needed and I would quite like to get my libido back. I don't suppose DH will complain about that either. He might even move back from the spare room. He sleeps there so I don't disturb him getting up for feeds. I think I will get him to do a night shift this weekend.

Pinkjenny · 09/01/2009 13:58

Does anyone have any wisdom here

twelveyeargap · 09/01/2009 14:50

Jam, I just got my hypno stuff back. Thanks so much. Am dropping it off to another friend this afternoon. She's due in March. It's well used! Glad it helped even a little.

SOH · 10/01/2009 10:56

I am re- registering briefly to apologise to my SS. Just had an email to inform me that they're sorry that they hadn't delivered in time for Christmas but they guarantee delivery before Feb. Have phoned them and spoken to work experience Nigel who punctuated each sentence with 'ooh' and 'erm' and culminated in a resonating 'dunno'. Have cancelled the order and am trawling for a replacement gift. I'm sorry. Truly. Am on it.

CM, I'm so terribly sorry.

Also sorry I haven't kept up with emailing/fbing you all. Bronchiolitis rules here. M not eaten since Sunday.

Once again and with feeling, thanks for everything.

Byee.

MKG · 10/01/2009 14:16

Oh SOH--Don't go! Just remember we'll always welcome you back.

LG&T--It's Saturday!!! Any special feelings?

I bet you this baby will be the one that decides to come on a Tuesday.

AprilMeadow · 11/01/2009 10:07

Morning All

I hope you are all having good weekends. J is swinging between being a lovely, caring, helpful boy to being just totally awful. It is such hard work trying to reason with him when he is SO demanding. E has been fairly good, but follows us round like a shadow most of the time. Given how much space they have to play in they still choose to be in the room that we are in. Sounds horrid i know.

Taking them bowling this morning just for 1 game which should be a nice change of scene and then off to a friends house this afternoon. They should be suitably knackered by bedtime

Woke up to a splattering of snow this morning, but it has all gone now

So are we revealing who bought for who in SS?

largeginandtonic · 11/01/2009 11:30

Special feeling my fecking arse... she is never coming out.

I made a batch of apricot nectar cookies from Mrs Fields this morning MKG. I have managed to burn the second lot changing a B nappy

SOH any birthday pressie arrived yet? You have not left i refuse to believe it.
