Haaaaappppppyyyyyy New Year y'all.

Tis very late here and too much chcampagne. But aApril, remember it only takes once. Three dc are the worst best. Hic.

You are all fantabulous.

MKG · 01/01/2009 00:59

Happy new years girls.

I've still got 4 hours to wait.

MmeJaffaB · 01/01/2009 08:19

A Huge HAPPY NEW YEAR & thank you to all of you lovely ladies for being here through 2008, I hope we are still here chatting to say the same thing this time next year.

So Jam how was town?

AM -

If I told you I'd drunk slightly too much wine last night would you believe me? Then in my drunkeness stupidity offered to do breakie. The neighbours will be here soon wanting feeding, no one else is awake in our house yet, think I best get on with finding some paracetamol cooking.

Pinkjennybellrock · 01/01/2009 12:14

AM - buy the test!

MKG · 01/01/2009 13:04

Well,

I didn't make it to New Years. I fell asleep around 11:30 I woke up at 1:30 to pee and said, "oh I missed it" then when dh's alarm went off this morning at 4:30 we whispered happy new year and that was it.

AM: Do I need to fly over and buy you a test, because I will you know.

AprilMeadow · 01/01/2009 16:42

i am going to wait and see if af arrives tomorrow and if not then will go get a test.

MmeJaffaB · 01/01/2009 19:28

((((((((hugs)))))))

AprilMeadow · 01/01/2009 19:59

honestly i feel like crying. I guess it isnt helped by the fact that Jack has been awful this last week.

MmeJaffaB · 01/01/2009 20:19

Ah sweet, no tears, what will be will be, just wait and see. Don't forget the symptoms you described are also tale tale signs that AF is on it's way.
I think you've got to be pretty dammn lucky to fall at the end of your "fertile" time. Very much more chance just before or at the begining, that is of course if you are sure of dates and timings. Don't wait on worrying though, get a good test tomorow and know whats what, that way you can cry talk yourself into it or relax until you are ready!

Here have another ((((hug))))

JamInMyWellies · 01/01/2009 21:55

AM stop panicking lovey, Mrs JB is right the symptoms you are experiencing are the same as AF. If you want to chat you know where I am. I have been there A & L were both conceived after not paying attention and getting carried away.

AprilMeadow · 02/01/2009 09:17

Well i think we are screwed! Went on a massive hunt last night to find a test and no where sold them, even places that i knew used to. Went to drop the dc at nursery and popped to the supermarket and got a twin pack. Came home as i thought i was going to wet myself and got a very stong negative but we can both see a faint vertical line. Dh said perhaps it was wrong... anyway af is due tomorrow so if no sign then will try again tomorrow

Pinkjennybellrock · 02/01/2009 09:38

Oh that is a bloody nightmare. Did you do both the tests?

AprilMeadow · 02/01/2009 09:44

no, i ran out of pee! am going to wait til tomorrow now

AprilMeadow · 02/01/2009 12:12

The house is so lovely and quiet the kids are at nursery (although only for another 50mins). Have managed to get some work done on my college assignment thats due in on Monday.

And have decided that all will be fine. Dh is worried about me posting if there is any news as he knows that my friend does still look on MN. Will text you lovely lot with an update tomorrow.

Off to go eat crumpets and dairylea yummmmmmmy

MKG · 02/01/2009 13:25

Oh AM- I hope you get the result you want tomorrow. Try not to worry about it too much.

MmeJaffaB · 02/01/2009 16:10

x

AprilMeadow · 02/01/2009 16:25

Just been out to the shops with the devil children. Bought a techno twin buggy this week as it will be so much easier to control J. Will also come in handy when we go for day trips out. Wasnt as wide as i thought which is good.

Managed to get some of project done and make notes on the rest of it so will have fun tonight working on it :D

Where is everyone?

Pinkjenny · 02/01/2009 16:26

I'm sitting here staring at my new Blackberry, willing it to work before tomorrow when the man in the shop told me it would transfer over.

MKG · 02/01/2009 16:35

I'm here. I just got the results that I have gestational diabetes so am trying to figure everything out.

AprilMeadow · 02/01/2009 16:38

Yay you got one! Cool!!!!

MKG oh no you poor thing. Will you be able to keep in under control?

Pinkjenny · 02/01/2009 16:46

Oh MKG - my friend had that, baby was fine, she was very carefully monitored. He's 10mo now.

Right ladies, I'm off home, I may be back this weekend if I can get this Blackberry up and running.

I bet you're all really excited about that, aren't you!

MKG · 02/01/2009 16:50

I think so. My levels weren't super duper high, but high so I think some tweeks in my diet a little more exercise should do it. I couldn't get an appointment until the end of the month so I think I will just cut out sweets and non whole grain carbs, with 30 min of exercise and hopefully that will do the trick.

I wish the all knowing LG&T were here.

I guess yesterday was the last time I'll be eating chocolate for a while. Oh well maybe I'll take a couple pounds off in the process .

My midwife said if I can control this with diet and exercise that it shouldn't affect delivery at all, unless I go over which I've never done before so we'll see.

MmeJaffaB · 02/01/2009 16:51

Ahhh MKG, it is controlable, bit of a pain though. Sorry xx Start a thread somewhere, there must be loads of lovely ladies had it on Mn who could give you some great advice.

MKG · 02/01/2009 16:54

I read through some of the older threads and the basic gyst of them is carb control, low sugar, smaller more frequent meals etc. So I don't think it's a big deal. My sil is type I and she's told me the same thing. I'm not too worried, just upset that it's a pain in the butt.

MmeJaffaB · 02/01/2009 19:00

one running now in active convos MKG, have you seen it?
