mmm yes if i had to choose between babies or burgers for dinner it would have to be burgers (my babies are snotting everywhere today)

luckily thats not a choice i have to make im off to sit and eat homemade lamb casserole and mash with dc

AprilMeadow · 30/12/2008 17:57

I quite fancy a nice big burger, with potato wedgies and a glass of coke.

AprilMeadow · 30/12/2008 17:58

just managed to tidy the playroom (3rd time today) and the kitchen plus hoover before dh got home, should get a few brownie point for that. You know how he likes to come home to a clean and tidy house

MmeJaffaB · 30/12/2008 18:18

I'm going to look for the perfect pinny for you AM; they do some really naff nice ones in the markets here.

Farkin MSN tonight!

LL, I haven't tried cooking the dc's yet, hmmmmm lamb casserole and dc, I'll try it sometime, sound chewy delish.

baby or burger, burger every time for me, but then I guesse we are the lucky ones able to choose, hey?

TMAM, pmsl at it's just not cricket! SOH loves cricket I seem to remember.

Themasterandsnowballs · 30/12/2008 19:33

I'd love a baby burger too. Only if it was a Maccyd fish fillet one. Oi Scoot can dh dhl one over to me?

So who is doing what tomorrow night? We are going to a Bollywood Ball at The Club. I have my kurta, baggy pants, impossibly high heels, eye liner and bangles all at the ready. We really know how to live out here.

MmeJaffaB · 30/12/2008 20:15

Sounds great TMAM

We are going over the wall to next door neighbours, home cooked chinese, a load of few drinks, chidren home and in bed at a sensible hour with grandparents sitting. A and I will fall back over at some point. I stupidly then offered to do a fry up breakie for all at ours. doh, have a feeling it could be brunch instead.

MKG · 30/12/2008 20:42

SOH--You can't leave MN. I'll be so sad if you go.

Nothing much new to report here. Had my 30 week appointment today. Baby is head down, the midwife said it was a little early but confirmed that it still was from 2 weeks ago. I had my 3 hour gestational diabetes test today. Not fun, but it was interesting being a fly on the wall in the office.

AbbyLou · 30/12/2008 20:43

We've got my sister, bil and their two kids coming to us. Hopefully it will go better than last year when none of the kids went to sleep and all screamed for hours. They have slept over since then and it was fine so fingers crossed. The plan is to give the kids their 'party' first with a picnic on the floor, Wii and party games and lots of dancing. Then hopefully we'll get them in bed for about 8 at the latest. We're having Mexcian as I decided fajitas was about the easiest thing to do.

JamInMyWellies · 30/12/2008 20:54

Well we thought we would either leave the kids at home on their own and bog off clubbing for a few hours. Or stay home have Lachie attached to my boobs for the better part of the eve then fall asleep on the sofa and maybe have a peck on the cheek as we stagger up to bed before midnight.

MmeJaffaB · 30/12/2008 21:10

Sounds perfect Jam, oh the joys of newbies!

How is the bf going now? nips perforing better? and have you mastered the art of mning whilst attatched yet?

MKG · 30/12/2008 21:19

You ladies have a lot more fun stuff planned than I do. I'm planning on being in bed before 11pm and just hanging out.

JamInMyWellies · 30/12/2008 21:34

Boobs are much better ta. Although the boy has suction like an octopus so for the initial 20secs there is much swearing under my breath. Whats the betting that A finally learns to talk and his first sentence is fuck bugger and bollocks.

SOH my lovely whats up why are you thinking of abandoning us? Have a fantabulous birthday tom.

MKG · 30/12/2008 21:57

AHHH no talk about breastfeeding. It just reminds me that I'll be doing it soon.

MmeJaffaB · 30/12/2008 22:00

lol at A's first words. You do remember that Maddies was "Bitch" now don't you? Not sure I meet the label of upperclass mumsnetter!

Jam, did you see the nonsense row made the Sunday Independant paper? ROFL!

MmeJaffaB · 30/12/2008 22:02

Lucky You MKG, it's the one thing I really look forward too, I was soooooooooooooooo gutted things didn't work for J that if and when I have another I will be locking myself away for the first 6 weeks to get things established.

Off to bed now, nighty nights x

MmeJaffaB · 30/12/2008 22:03

Oh No, we were "middle class", haha, not sure I'm even up for that, lol

TheGreatChristmasEvie · 31/12/2008 10:57

Ha!I remember the New Year after L was born.I fell asleep at 11.45 with L asleep on my chest.Paaaarty!
Actually its not much better this year as we are setting off to drive 4 hours to DH's brothers in the middle of nowhere (I am currently at work of course )I feel old.NYE has always been the one night I have insisted on going out somewhere fabulous. This year I just have no get up and go for it.Story of 2008.2009 had better be an improvement I can tell you!

Mae's most favourite (of her all of 5 words) is 'Boobies'.Im so proud

Had a Big Mac for lunch yesterday.I think I might have the christmas chicken thing today.Detox starts Jan 5th so am getting in some serious junk food before then and am loving every meal

Enjoy your party Master.I think it sounds fabbo. And your chinese Mrs JB..YUM YUM.I dont think L or M will be in bed much before 12 so am not even planning on it Abby..We will be in sleep boot camp come next week though as its all gone a bit Pete Tong at our house on that front.

DH should speak to the Oz AM.Its his mate after all..I know when one is married friends belong to both of you, but not when they are getting on your tits and you want them out of the house

I know PJ!..90210 AND Gossip Girl.(And also ER which I like too and Brothers and Sisters, all in Jan!)

Can I just take this opportunity to say that although 2008 has been a bust for me really in most ways, a big Thankyou to all of you for all the support you have given and the listening to me whinge on ad finitum which I appreciate has been quite dull, but you have stuck with it.Has meant alot.Love to you all.

Happy New Year to you all! mwah mwah mwah

Pinkjennybellrock · 31/12/2008 12:47

Oh I love Brothers and Sisters, but it always makes me want 5 kids! You need to get into Grey's as well. And Gilmore Girls. BOth of which I can confidently say you will love! I've already wished you a Happy New Year once today, but, Happy New Year! Again. GA here we come!!!!!!!!!

We are going to a party at my mum's house tonight (I know, I know, you're all jealous of my showbiz lifestyle) and walking the half a mile home. So, if you hear of a family of three with frostbite, that's us!

MKG · 31/12/2008 13:21

I love Brothers and Sisters too.

But I hate to break it to you. The new 90210 sucks. I watched a few episodes and was very confused because they bring back Kelly and Brenda and have references to Dillan. It's like they don't know if they want it to be about new characters or old ones.

lilLAURAfeelingontopform · 31/12/2008 14:41

afternoon ladies

oooh ive been busy and stressed - dh realy ill again up all night with s&d so im finding it hard to keep dc quiet so he can rest - feeling a bit jealous tho why should he get to lie in bed i wana day off when im ill (finished feeling sorry 4 myself). been busy making dh new website for past few days put loads of work in last night and today and its up and running im so pleased with myself i thought after 6 years off i would have lost the nack - just hope the new buisness is worth it all

JamInMyWellies · 31/12/2008 19:31

Popping in before my night out to wish you all a very Happy New Year and all the best for 2009.

I also want to say a massive thankyou to each and every one of you. For always being there with a word of advice or sympathy, to hold my hand or just to make me laugh out loud.

AprilMeadow · 31/12/2008 20:03

Urrgghhh some bugger has just set of fireworks just has we have put all 4 kids to bed!
