HAPPY BIRTHDAY The Great Scootini! xx

It was either sat or sunday evening scoot, I am becoming a binge drinker. Not good, but need something to keep me sane! I remember typing (hic) a few times.

Another cat bites the dust today! We are not destined to have cats I tell ya! Our rescue cat has not been great for a few weeks, she's been backwards and forwards to the vet but this morning she somehow? broke her back just jumping off the sofa. The vets suspect Feline AIDS. Making everything weak and vulnerable. She has just joined the others under the apple tree!

Off to hold a friends hand this afternoon. She stupidly and accidentaly fell pg, she can't continue the pg'cy though as she is only just in remission for cancer. She has a very nasty form of cancer, 3 gorgeous boys already, she is very gutted but knows she risks her life if she continues this pregnancy. We are going to see the Gyn for a dating scan this afternoon and discuss procedures.

Hope everyone has a better day than me today.

Pinkjennybellrock · 10/12/2008 13:16

for your friend Mrs JB. What a wonderful friend you are, though.

Will be thinking of you.

JamInMyWellies · 10/12/2008 13:24

MrsJB how awful much love and strength to you and your friend.

TheGreatChristmasEvie · 10/12/2008 13:39

Love to you and your friend Mrs JB..

SnowOfHands · 10/12/2008 13:49

Oh MrsJB. Your poor friend. It's an agonising, heartbreaking thing to do. Will she take advantage of any counselling available to her? What a time for her. Christmas too.

With sadly departed cats, cut salaries, non-appearing babies, ADs, questionable music taste, strange Old People Presents and Mucho Illness, I think we should all just bring Christmas forward.

C'mon, somebody have a baby. Spread some joy.

TheGreatChristmasEvie · 10/12/2008 14:04

I told you.I am cancelling it!

As you can see I have neither gone to Cambridge or gone for a walk.I am in bed with a tin of Quality Street

Actually cancel cancelling Christmas.Because its the only time of year I can justify scoffing a drum of Quality Street/Roses/Celebrations all to myself [festive greedy pig emoticon

Pinkjennybellrock · 10/12/2008 14:07

Hear hear SOH. Er, and why haven't you replied to my latest email? Are you also deserting me due to my love for Barry?

SnowOfHands · 10/12/2008 14:29

Tell ya what PJ, will email and tell you why I didn't reply earlier!

Tillyscoutsmum · 10/12/2008 15:24

Mts JB - so sorry about your friend and your cat

Happy Birthday Scoot

Themasterandsnowballs · 10/12/2008 15:53

Oh MrsJB, what a miserable day for you So sorry. You are a very good friend. You are so right about the million trillion playmobil pieces that Elizabeth I would never be able to locate, but I wanted to play with it. [flbush] I don't think dd would give a stuff about it and probably would never touch it!

Happy Birthday Scootster, sounds like you are having a perfectly lovely time!

Till I finally managed to sneak a peek at your photos and you look absolutely divine. And so do the girls. And so does dh. And all the guests look so very happy to be there. Happy Birthday to you for tomorrow.

Jammy, have you had that baby yet?

April thanks for the text and the link, sadly Hamleys closed down a while ago and dh being the sort of plonker that only men can be neglected to tell me he was in John Lewis when I asked him to try and get a portable CD player at the airport, so he looked for one in JL only to be unsatisfied at what he saw. It didn't even cross his mind to pop to the toy department and pick up something else. So he has picked up something in dixons, I wait to see how inappropriate lovely it is when the dc are in bed.

Charley, about the wee fella. I hope he entertained all at your christmas party. Did you place him on the photocopier?

I too am aghast at the cutting of your dh's salary TYG Can they do that??? Or is the 'extras' that will be cut?

Dh is taking the dc and his father to a wild and dangerous national park tomorrow night to camp, without me and j. I feel slightly nervous about letting them go for the night, how pathetic is that? Would you let them go Pink??!

Pinkjennybellrock · 10/12/2008 16:07

Of course TMAM. I'd probably let them go without dh.

JamInMyWellies · 10/12/2008 16:31

If anyone wants to come and get this bubba out of me then they are more than welcome. Just took A to his swimming lesson hoping that might encourage the little blighter. All it has done is make me pop into tesco on the way home and buy a bag of chocolate cookies. Which i have now neqrly eaten all of them. Will have to hide the wrapping so DP doesnt see.

Could I send A with your DH TMAM for a dangerous night under the stars?

Pinkjennybellrock · 10/12/2008 16:33

BF has just sent me a text saying, 'Jen, why won't this baby come out?'

Not sure what to say to that!

MmeJaffaB · 10/12/2008 16:40

Thank you lovely ladies for all your kind messages. I am as good a friend as any of you, you'd all have done the same for someone you care about. The appointment went fine, the hardest bit was the scan, I had kind hoped deep down to make thigs easier for her that it wouldn't have been viable but that was not the case. She has to go through it all next week. Hard when her heart tells her one thing and her head tells her another. She has also arranged to have the coil fitted shortly after so that hopefully this won't happen again.

largeginandtonic · 10/12/2008 16:42

LOL at Jam hidding the wrapper, i have done that

On my way Jam....

largeginandtonic · 10/12/2008 16:42

Oh MrsJB your poor friend, lucky she has you to hold her hand.

MKG · 10/12/2008 17:12

Hi everyone. I'm so behind it's ridiculous.

MJB--I hope your friend is ok.

Jam- Get the plunger out and get to work on that baby.
Oh and I have eaten homemade cookies before and then made another batch just so dh didn't notice

OK I've discovered these great frozen meatballs, and I can't get enough of them. It's amazing that they are so perfect after only 5 min. in the microwave.

LG&T--The party was terrible. Too many kids, too much of an age gap between them, the cake was terrible. Not much good to say I'm afraid.

JamInMyWellies · 10/12/2008 17:14

Think you might need a coat hanger not a crochet hook. On a positive TMI side I have just given birth to a poo so hopefully that means something is on its way.

PJ tell heer to get her DP/H to jump on board and waggle it around a bit and get out.

MrsJB what a traumatic day you must have had

MKG · 10/12/2008 17:40

Oh Jam don't remind me of poo. The day Cruz was born I woke up and did the most difficult poo of my life. I felt like I had lost 20 pounds.

SnowOfHands · 10/12/2008 18:09

Oh good Lord I'm eating.

Bleurgh.

Themasterandsnowballs · 10/12/2008 18:31

Cookie eating plus big ginormous poo = baby arriving.

Could you try a bit harder Jamster please, because I'm leaving for my beach idyll in about oh 36 hours and it'll drive me mad not knowing what is happening to you for a whole week! The last time I went down there, TYG popped one out, so it's a good omen. In return dh will happily take Archie on safari. Just don't ask him to buy any Christmas presents, what he has bought is a disaster.

LOL at MKG making another batch of scoffed cookies.

Talking of frozen foods, MIL has just announced the latest in cooking laziness, the existence of frozen mashed potatoes. Dear God, please tell me it's not true. And that none of you use them.

TheGreatChristmasEvie · 10/12/2008 19:12

What is it?A TomTom device or somesuch?

Look here baby Jam..get out.I want you to share my birthday.>>crosses legs at thought of crochet hook

JamInMyWellies · 10/12/2008 20:05

Oh dear TMAM what did he buy, hair staighteners? Mail me your mobile No. and I will text oyu if anything happens.

Scoot enjoy the bubbly and get pished you deserve a night off and then tom morn on your way to meeting you can pick up a restorative Mc breakfast.

Dont even get me started on the frozen food thing my outlaws live off of pre prepared and cooked veg and pots they have not made a roast dinner from scratch since I met them. Dp and I think its a generation thing as my parents are fans of the ready meal type thing aswell. Obviously I dont include Ikea meatballs in this as they are lush as is all revolting takeouts. Talking of which DP has just gone out to get fish n chips for tea as I couldnt be arsed to make the stuffed butternut squash I was meant to.

MmeJaffaB · 10/12/2008 20:40

Anyone remember my trip to IKEA a few weeks ago? Maddies new bedroom was just the excuse, there was an ulteria motive. I fliipin love um too scoot!

AM, thanks for the msn, I wasn't in so missed you. x

largeginandtonic · 11/12/2008 08:25

Ikea meatballs are divine, you need to buy the sachets of gravy and the Loganberry jam too. I go just for them! They are building an Ikea in Southampton just 30 mins from us

DH made a lovely hot and sour prawn soup last night for tea... good so far...then we decided it was not enough so ordered a Dominos

So baby Jam is today the day? I am thinking not. You have another 4 days or so yet.

The baby has been up since 5, he has a cough and very high temp. I am keeping him dosed with Medised and Brufen to keep it down and he seems ok if i keep on top of it. Another blardy bug!

Scoot your friend sounds lovely just what you need.

SOH are you still coming for New Year? I am quite liking the idea of a New Year birth. The twins were due on 31st Dec but came 17th October so i have always felt i should have one. It is dh Birthday on 28th Dec so it would be a nice present for him

I am teaching the baby Jingle Bells as am sick to death of Row row row your fecking boat and wind the fecking bobbin up. I need actions to keep him engaged though as apparently nodding your head is not enough

I emailed Cod the other day and she asked me if my baby names list was 'mentalist' i dont know what she was implying

Am off to M&S this morning to change baby clothes and buy the children SOCKS i am soooo sick of them coming down the stairs in odd ones. I am colour coding them too so dh can sort the washing (socks befuddle him, as do pants actually)

MKG at making another batch of cookies, entirely reasonable imho.
