Scoot, I have taken AD's in the past. Got me over a rough patch and there was no problem coming off them. Only side effect is that they completely killed what little libido I had at the time. And I had a dry mouth.

Obviously I am no expert, but if you have that, "oh my God, I have so many problems, I don't even know which thing to tackle first" feeling, then they may help. When you feel like you're drowning, then they can be like a little life belt to hold on to while you plan how to get to shore. Sometimes that's all you need though.

I believe there are fairly new guidelines about prescribing such things, so I don't think the GP would have prescribed them if s/he didn't think you would benefit.

Some AD's help you sleep better too, so even that can be a huge benefit.

Whether or not you decide not to take them, perhaps it's time for some sick leave so you can build yourself up.

Themasterandsnowballs · 09/12/2008 11:15

But not now, no, no, no.

I am impressed by the tears of joy and emotion though Pink. A true loon fan.

Themasterandsnowballs · 09/12/2008 11:27

Have a lovely day to yourself LG&T what a treat!

Scoot, it sounds like L is perking up a bit, how can you get cross with a cutie singing about Father Christmas? I am so glad you have taken a week off work. It may well be all you need, besides isn't it the case if you take AD's you can't drink?

Well done pink April on passing your second assignment, yippee!

Help! Dh is currently in london and was supposed to bring back a playmobil campervan that was supposed to be delivered to his friends for him to pick up during his last visit, it never made it and now today won't make it in time to his office It is for dd from FC, so I am trying hard to think of something he can get at terminal 4 on his way out for her....any suggestions???

AMeadowfullofChristmasTrees · 09/12/2008 11:29

It's the way you say that it was a rollercoaster of emotions that gets me laughing everytime

AMeadowfullofChristmasTrees · 09/12/2008 11:31

humpf, i'll have you know that the project is all my own work. I only called pink in an emergency to help clarify something (i think thats right...)

Pinkjennybellrock · 09/12/2008 11:34

He kept playing this tape of his grandfather, trying to get him to sing into a karaoke type booth when he was six. It was so cute. That was the first time.

The second time was when he sang, 'Somewhere down the road' and started talking about how his dad had left when he was two. That was the second time.

But if you factor in Copacabana and Can't smile without you, you see that it was a rollercoaster!

Themasterandsnowballs · 09/12/2008 11:42

Just teasing you are a very good student.

Pinkjennybellrock · 09/12/2008 11:53

I do hope the UK based ladies on here used the Copacabana lyrics I provided whilst watching Strictly Come Dancing on Sunday night?

AM is a very good student. Especially as whenever she phones me I just whine about HR being rubbish.

SKYTVADDICT · 09/12/2008 13:30

Grrr did a huge post last night and the internet connection quit and I lost it.

Scoot - take the ads AND have a week off - you need it what with all you have had to
cope with recently.

Well done AM.

And Jam - I am guessing a girl.

C currently screaming his head off in his cot so had better go and be a good mummy amd make sure he hasn't trapped his hand like last time I left him crying for nearly an hour!

Hello to everyone else.

SKYTVADDICT · 09/12/2008 13:36

No, no trapped hand. Just a naughty little boy!!

When I posted at 10 last night I felt for you scoot as C had just been brought downstairs by DP who can't stand him crying! It was 10.30 before he went back again. We can really do without it can't we?

He was also up in the night for an hour and is currently shattered but not giving in.

Last two nights with L been a little better - I am trying to make sure he gets fed 3 hourly during the day - although he is asleep at mo and its nearly been 4 hours!

PJ - I thought Barry was good on Strictly although I am not a fan - he doesn't look bad for his age either.

Sorry master, don't know what shops are at terminal 4.

TheGreatChristmasEvie · 09/12/2008 19:44

Well we got no sleep last night.L eventually went to bed and slept like a log, but M was up all night coughing and demanding drinks, then throwing her cup when she got peeved, which was every 10 mins.
I am praying she sleeps tonight..and that all of yours sleep for you SKY!

Aha.Where is Jam?!Is she having a baby?!

Hope you had a great day Gin..sounds lovely and just what you deserve at the moment.

I am seriously reconsidering my friendship with PJ.AM she is leading you down the garden path now too.

Nightmare re the playmobile Master.Dunno whats even in terminal 4..Will they not post it to you or to someone in England to post on or is it really massive?

I googled the AD's last night and the side effects listed scared me rigid.Plus I dunno.I feel like Id be going down a route im not sure I want to go down a bit by taking them.I am going to see how I feel after next week off and then decide. They are in the back of the cupboard for now.DH thinks I should take them, but he doenst seem to get that there might be side effects-think he's more interested in the quick fix in the nicest possible way.

DH got his new Prius (Mc company car) yesterday.Hilarious.Its electric of course so no gears, no hand brake. You just kind of push a button and go.DH did not take this into account when he chose it.He spent the entire 40 min initiation drive with the car company guy reaching down for the non existant gear stick and grabbing the poor mans hand instead. He is not getting along well with it at the moment. He says he misses gears.

JamInMyWellies · 09/12/2008 20:32

Oh scoot poor you, do you want to pop down here for an arvo next wk to scoff some cake?

Sky keep up with the sleeping for Callum he will get better.

LG&T how was your lovely lunch?

TMAM is there anything we can do to help you get your playmobile thing.

Oh yes am still here still pregnant no amount of ball bouncing is working - god I am going to have to resort to sex.

AMeadowfullofChristmasTrees · 09/12/2008 20:45

TMAM here is a list of shops at terminal 4. He might be able to get something from Hamleys, Harrods or Glorious Britian

MmeJaffaB · 09/12/2008 22:27

TMAM the playmobile camper van has approximately 5million of the tiniest bits with it you will ever thought possible with a toy. It has a complete dinner serivce for 6 with miniscule, cutlery and crockery. It's a nightmare! h has hardly played with his, if I knew where more than 3 of the zillion parts were for it, I'd post it on.

Sorry about my little rosy post the other evening.

Jam....... Girl! come on little raspberry jam where are you?

Lg&t, how's the swelling and how was lunch?that girl I was asking you about on FB. Well, it turns out that her and I went to school with a girl with exactly the same name as you. I'd forgotten her though, lol. She saw you on my friend list and thought you were her.

AM; yay for the cleaner, lol at C cleaning before the claner.

Scoot, can you take time off? Do you work for a local authority? There must be procedures in place to allow you to have some leave.
You need a break, a rest, time to feel refreshed. Take some sick leave! not a week but a month or so. The service will still be there when you get back, same issues, same joys but you will go back a new you.

Off to bed now.

Manilow versus c de b, pmsl, no contest, you see, for patricia was a stipper. The best stripper in town!

charleymouse · 09/12/2008 22:43

charleymouse · 09/12/2008 22:55

Abby party invites for DDs party last week some people never replied just turned up . Some people turned up with extra guests as well,

MKG tree looks great.

MJB Love you too

12 YG how can they do that to Dhs salary

largeginandtonic · 10/12/2008 08:28

Lunch was fabulous, very quiet affair as most had kiddies in the creche to pick up. My pressie was a bit naff tbh, M&S Royal Jelly smellies, cream, gel and body puff thingy. The bag looks like it is for someones Granny I was home by 230 to watch children while dh did the school run.

We then took off to Sainsbos for some shopping and ecided to take the kids to Harvester. They love it, if only B would sit still it would be lovely.

Got home and was cream crackered again, am going to try and limit myself to 1 outing a day from now on, bar school runs that is. I am just too HUGE to do it!

TMAM i am pretty sure even if i post it you will not get it in time, what do you think? Playmobile is for grown ups anyhoo, i want the hospital! It has G&A coming out the walls and operating tables

CM sorry to hear the boy is poorly again Take him to the party and everyone will coo over him.

Scoot i was the same as you, googled it and scared myself. How are you feeling today?

TYG i just read about dh salary!!! That is not good news, will it be temporary?

Jam people are already asking me if the baby is still in there... LOL NOT.

Pink glad you had a good weekend, it sounds like lots of cheesy fun. I bet L didnt miss you at all

The boy keeps pulling my baubles off the tree i may tie him up

Am off to a friends for coffee this morning and probably picking dh up at lunchtime. Hope to get back here later.

Pinkjennybellrock · 10/12/2008 09:40

LG&T - L is slowly destroying my tree as well. It is starting to look rather weird, with all the decorations at the top. Not a good present, that's the kind of thing my PIL buy me. But the lunch was good, that's the main thing!

Scoot - come on, now. That's crazy talk. You know you love me. And by the end of our weekend in CP, you will love Barry too.

CM - Oh I do hate runny bums. Hope G is feeling a little better today.

TMAM - L has a teletubbies house affair with lots of little pieces, I actually feel quite OCD about it. I find myself tidying it up quite a lot.

Mrs JB - your tipsy post made my day.

I have just been advised that my Secret Santa present has been dispatched. I hope the lucky lady in question likes it!

TheGreatChristmasEvie · 10/12/2008 11:24

I will bring my ipod and listen to The Killers all weekend to drown Barry out.

Glad you had a good day gin..what does Royal Jelly even smell like anyway?

M also ripping my tree to shreds. Is very annoying as L never did this and thought I had got away with it.We have had a lovely luxurious white sequined bird decoration that yoy wire onto a branch. It is now tailess and does not look so fancy.

Sorry G is ill CM..Gaah on it goes.M was in bed with me again last night but only woke up 3 times and I actually counted it as a blessing!

Jam would loved to come to yours for cake but will you not be slightly busy with the baby.Todays the day, I've got a feeling!

What post when Mrs JB?

Whats happened TYG?

Thankyou for my card AM!DH did very well for my birthday this morn and got me lovely tuxedo jacket from Topshop that had been hinting at and the DD's got me a book and some chili chocolate from Hotel Chocolat..Mum and Dad sent me some Topshop vouchers so am already trying to decide what to get with them.
I am toying with the idea of going into Cambridge for a wee shop or just staying in bed and being lazy all day.If I stay here though I will clean and cook whereas if I go to Cambridge I will not..that said it is an hours drive..

Or could go for a walk as is lovely and sunny. Its a nice problem to have anyway

Pinkjennybellrock · 10/12/2008 11:28

I have mucho sympathy for your white sequinned bird Scoot, as I managed to smash the 'My first Christmas 2007' bauble on Monday. L had pulled it off the tree and was throwing it about, so I took it off her and promptly smashed it against the worktop. I was not impressed, and L may have gotten shouted at, for something which wasn't strictly her fault . I have sellotaped it together, which looks gorgeous, as you can imagine.

Glad you were pleased with your presents. I would never allow dh to buy me clothes. God only knows what he'd come back with.

You sound a little brighter this morning, hope you have a lovely day whatever you decide to do.

TheGreatChristmasEvie · 10/12/2008 11:35

Oh no, dont get me wrong. When I say hinted I mean, wrote down size, colour, detailed description and directions to its exact position in Topshop Oxford Circus.

TheGreatChristmasEvie · 10/12/2008 11:37

Sorry I missed that bit about DH TYG.Can they really do that?

JamInMyWellies · 10/12/2008 11:50

Happy Birthday Scoot!
