Here we go. I thought the title was apt as ds2 has morhed into a stroppy little horror overnight. His favourite expression at the moment is 'I cwoss with you, I sceam at you AAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH' .

Happy Birthday ToddlerJabber and ToddlerEli .

DD is poorly again. I swear every bug in the vicinity has some kind of magnetic attraction to her . She has a bit of a temp, headache and earache today. I need to buy shares in Calpol and Medised I think.

Aoa, hotel is a very good idea - go for a posh one so you can have a vvvv hot, deep bath!

lol at handjobs

Haven't seen Northernmama in a while now that I think of it. I wonder if she's namechanged?

I would go straight to the electric, btw. And AQ one of my top priorities while nanny is there would be a NAP.

castlesintheair · 04/02/2009 18:31

Totally agree Jabber. When I had a doula for 2 weeks I used to go to bed the minute she walked in the door.

bebespain · 04/02/2009 20:41

bp - glad your trip to the Docs´was a positive one and like the others have said try not to worry about be signed off, your priority is getting yourself right

AQ - some good news at last. Really agree with LenniEd about nothing lasting forever although it probably feels like that right now. I have to remind myself of that too on my bad days. Oh and keep up with the baking when you´re baking you´re not thinking

Eli - good on you for the walk wow 16 miles Still sounds like coffee with the other Mums is a fair pay off

Castles - had a little nosey at your pics on FB What a gorgeous threesome you have

LenniEd - LOL at the weight shifting. I dread to think what I´ll look like after next baby arrives (beached whale maybe?)

DS has a snotty nose and cough again Only a month since the last bout but I suppose its power for the course this time of year. Just hope it doesn´t get any worse as we´re off back "home" a week today, gonna be the last trip for a while..

MARGOsBeenPlayingWithMyNooNoo · 04/02/2009 20:50

EV - I've been looking at your Fb photos. Your dd2 makes me laugh esp. the Xmas photo mimicing mimicking mimmicking-- copying her older sister.

Disney looked good.

I see you're following me... tweet tweet. I'm following you too!

MARGOsBeenPlayingWithMyNooNoo · 04/02/2009 20:51

Oh and ama amanapolean is that you Lucy5?

Amapoleon · 04/02/2009 20:53

Oh no you've outed me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not really Tis me Lucy5

MARGOsBeenPlayingWithMyNooNoo · 04/02/2009 20:54

Oh good. I can spell Lucy5.

MARGOsBeenPlayingWithMyNooNoo · 04/02/2009 21:00

Oh Castles - I didn't see your post.

Work sit still grim - my friend is still going through the appeals process and there has been a recent announcement that more people in higher sales positions will have to reapply for their jobs. It still unsettled where I work. I just want everyone to get on and support eachother. I think I'm goign through the "acceptance" stage.

EustaciaVye · 04/02/2009 21:15

Thanks Margo - I love that Christmas Pic too.

castlesintheair · 04/02/2009 21:34

Thanks Bebe .

Sorry Margo. DH has come home with tales of woe which have made me retreat to MN thankful not to be in paid employment right now. Hope things improve for you.

MARGOsBeenPlayingWithMyNooNoo · 04/02/2009 21:40

Castles - I bet your DH, even though he's escaped the redundancies this time, feels guilty that he is staying while others are going. This is probably the reason why we've had so many people in tears (including me) at work recently. Give him a unMNly hug from me.

EustaciaVye · 05/02/2009 07:34

Castles - a round of redundancy sends shockwaves through a company that actually can take about 2-3 years to recover from. Morale is low, there is extra work as it all has to be absorbed and a lot of people who stayed wish they'd gone too but then dont know whether to feel glad they were kept or not.

LenniEd · 05/02/2009 09:22

Lovely fridge Margo

Olihan · 05/02/2009 19:09

And the D&V has arrived in the Oli house. 2 down, 1 to go..........

love the pics, ev I still remember my trip to disneyland aged 8. Can't wait to take the dc's one day if I could just persuaded dp.

I did get a nap yesterday and the babies got formula so I could do the school run instead. I find the nanny reasonably incompetent and airhead-like so do tend to do most of the important stuff myself and leave her to do the ironing etc. I am v.lucky to have her, but drives me insane most of the time.

bebespain · 06/02/2009 07:58

Hi Lucy (waves enthusiastically) - hopefully your posting on here means you survived the tornado

EV - took a look at your FB pictures, looks like your DDs had a great time at Disney. Must be a brilliant seeing the look on their faces as they meet Mickey and co [smile)

AQ - glad to hear you got a nap yesterday but about your nanny....

DH is going to take DS to the in-laws this weekend and I´m going to stay at home to have a rest and a lie-in tackle my huge pile of ironing and blitz the house top to bottom. Its going to be really strange waking up on Sun morning without DS

bebespain · 06/02/2009 08:00

Why hasn´t my crossing out worked??? I followed the instructions implicitly!

castlesintheair · 06/02/2009 12:01

Thanks Margo. He's had 2 bollockings this week now Crappy management gearing up for the inevitable there's no F in bonus. I'm so pleased I'm not in the City anymore although I miss the money.

babypowder · 06/02/2009 14:15

Castles, sorry about your DH - it's such a crap time for everyone - workplaces not nice places to be ATM. (Thank god I'm off sick)

Decided against cabbage soup in the end. Would be a silly thing to do just now anyway. I just need to shed some of this bloating somehow!

It's so, so cold here. We don't have any snow, but the temperature hasn't risen above 0 all day. I gave up and turned the heating on just now as it was less than 13degrees in the house. BRRRRRRRRR!

babypowder · 06/02/2009 14:17

Bebe, am quite about your weekend. Enjoy it, and make sure you make some time for serious chocolate-eating and relaxing.

jabberwocky · 06/02/2009 18:26

I simply must get on FB and catch up on everyone's pictures!

oli, it took me a bit to realize what D&V was. Hope it's over as quickly as it was in my house.

Amapoleon · 06/02/2009 18:34

Bebe you are so lucky. I dream of being child free even for a few hours. Make the most of it. INDULGE< INDULGE< INDULGE!!!!!!!!!!!!

I did indeed survive the tornado, it missed us and got Cadiz instead, phew.

Elibean · 06/02/2009 22:28

Quick wave from me...have neice staying, am supposed to be going to Oxford to see dm tomorrow (ice allowing), have no idea why I've been so busy this week but can't seem to get any computer time

Castles, I'm sorry your dh is going through the mill at work..they actually set up a stress clinic near here for people working in the city, as the fallout from whats happening is causing so much mayhem amongst the 'survivors'. Thinking of you too, Margo.

Bebe, hurrah for your weekend and enjoy!

Oli, major sympathies and get well soon LOs (or is the bigger ones who've got it?!).

AQ, sympathies on the airhead nanny, too - there's a particularly frustrating side to having unhelpful help, IME. How's ds, btw?

bebespain · 07/02/2009 18:27

Hope you´re all having a good weekend

Well, I´m here all on my tod and I must say its very, very nice. Funny though as I got really upset when I waved off DH and DS this morning and felt really guilty for not going with them

I hadn´t realised just how enjoyable cleaning the kitchen could be without the usual interruptions from a 2 year old - bliss

Oh well off to chill now and enjoy the silence!
