Here we go. I thought the title was apt as ds2 has morhed into a stroppy little horror overnight. His favourite expression at the moment is 'I cwoss with you, I sceam at you AAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH' .

Happy Birthday ToddlerJabber and ToddlerEli .

DD is poorly again. I swear every bug in the vicinity has some kind of magnetic attraction to her . She has a bit of a temp, headache and earache today. I need to buy shares in Calpol and Medised I think.

Aoa, hotel is a very good idea - go for a posh one so you can have a vvvv hot, deep bath!

Solo! May I blame pg brain? Hello and welcome back to the fold to you too.

LenniEd · 16/12/2008 10:57

Sorry Solo - can I blame pg brain too had seen you come in amongst all the illnesses and crises (is that the plural) but had clean forgot to say hello. And I like your festive name, really should get myself one of those one year.

How are you?

Indith - breathe, you will be fine!

jabberwocky · 16/12/2008 14:37

awww, solo, can I blame allergy/virus ? Welcome!

castlesintheair · 16/12/2008 14:43

Hello Solo. No excuses!

Glad to hear you are managing to keep your legs crossed Indith. Though things have gone a bit quiet recently so we need you to liven things up

AnneOfAvonlea · 16/12/2008 16:08

Hey BP and Solo.

Well, we had DDs birthday cake at the weekend. A little late but nice nonetheless. We all seem to be improving. I have a follow up GP appt on Thursday to monitor chest and discuss future management.

DD1 is sooo knackered. I think the end of term cant come soon enough.

I've wrapped some Christmas presents today Not many, a few internet shopping things sent by relatives for the girls.

LenniEd · 16/12/2008 16:20

Yes, we could do with some excitement of a positive nature, cheer us all up. No pressure there Indith

Well I've had a day on my own - now that's a rarity - and have spent it all doing hardly anything of what I meant to get done. Can imagine DH's face when he arrives home shortly , and mine ---->

I was meant to have cleaned the house from top to bottom, finished the VAT return and got the last couple of presents wrapped. I've actually caught up on Prison Break (awful, don't know why I still watch it), relaxed on sofa with dogs, replied to emails, eaten far too much chocolate and wrapped the presents Hmmm, need some kind of excuse pronto!!

LenniEd · 16/12/2008 16:21

Glad you are feeling a bit better AoA, and enjoyed the cake

Indith · 16/12/2008 16:41

I refuse to give birth until ds is sleeping again

Anyway Lennied hits 37 weeks soon enough she can liven things up for us

Lennied I think your excuse is that you are heavily pg and had a day on your own. It is the law to spend that day procrastinating and eating chocolate.

I have had a productive day Dh worked from home which always makes me need to appear to be doing stuff . Was very nice though, ds in creche, I did work of the paid variety at my computer, he did his. Also cleaned the bathroom. At least, I cleaned the loo and the smell of the loo cleaner makes DH think I have cleaned the whole bathroom and I got thanked for it . In reality it got a mini wipe around but involves far too much bending over to be done properly

LenniEd · 16/12/2008 16:51

No, no, no, no, no - have told you Indith, this baby is not being born until 2009!! Besides which I keep dreaming about last labour , really don't want to have to do all that again just yet. Realise I haven't got all that many alternatives before you tell me!

And I haven't done any nesting, in fact house hasn't looked worse for some time. I'm anti-nesting so that means there is no baby coming.

I would like a productive day I'm just going to get looks of total disbelief when DH gets through door.

Indith · 16/12/2008 16:55

loo cleaner smell and the washing up done. Fools them into thinking the whole house is clean

LenniEd · 16/12/2008 16:58

I think I'll plug the vac in with the wire trailed across the whole room in a very obvious location and leave the disinfectant out on the worktop. Obviously won't use either.

Indith · 16/12/2008 17:07

Always a good one. Put the vac in the living room so you can leap up to be unplugging it and "just putting it away" as he comes through the door.

castlesintheair · 16/12/2008 17:13

Lennied your day sound's like you have been over doing it to me. Have a lie down. And some chocolate. I don't think either of you should be cleaning at the moment. I'm sure I didn't throughout any of my pgs

If you are planning to hold off until 2009, my friend had a baby on Thursday 18 days early. You do the maths!

I have been at home all day with 3 "sick" (ha ha ha) DCs. In case anyone is wondering why I have been on MN most of the day

LenniEd · 16/12/2008 17:29

18 days early - in that case I better had lie down. Don't want to bring on any birthing.

Actually I got away with it - managed to get vac plugged in just in time. DD now happily rolling my birthing ball round living room (best use for it!) so she should distract from the huge lumps of dirt littering the carpet.

Elibean · 16/12/2008 19:33

Solo, Solo, did you miss my hello? It was a bit undramatic, though, IIRC

I'm glad your household, and you especially, are on the mend AofA - and think my dd1 is in same state as yours, white faced and easy to tears. We're ready for holidays.

LenniEd and Indith, its getting v exciting for us non-legcrossing onlookers Though I'm also sorry ds is unwell, Indith, lots of real flu around and GP told dh (who is back on codeine, antibiotics etc for his chest after catching another cold) that it was particularly early this year. So it probably is, poor lad.

dd2 has had another non-eating day, but now has yellow snot running out of her nose from time to time, which I find strangely reassuring. I gave her a Gu Chocolate Pot tonight, or what she'd have of it, in desperation

I'm still on about 5 hours broken sleep, am getting to that stage where I say things without thinking - please tell me if I start being offensive, embarrassing, or just too silly, no one in RL is likely to (except for dh)!

accessorizequeen · 16/12/2008 20:19

Hullo solo, welcome back and sorry if I wasn't welcoming to start with (twins brain and like Eli, about 5 hours broken sleep for a while - do you think we should just stop talking/posting for a while, Eli ?)

Can't believe indith and lennied cleaning bathrooms (or pretending to). No excuses but being pg needed fgs!!! I often sprint round for 10 mins just before dp due home to make it look like I work a LOT harder than I do.

Elibean · 16/12/2008 22:04

Definitely not, AQ, or the remnants of my sanity would vanish quite entirely...

As it is, dd just threw up entire contents of her stomach, which was basically all the little she'd eaten today undigested, and has only just now gone to sleep, shattered. I am covered in sicky smells, have to make sandwiches for dd1's Xmas school party tomorrow and wrap presents for the teachers.

Nope, I'm gonna carry on posting, pardner (weak )...

LenniEd · 16/12/2008 22:11

Eli I'm worried about you and DD.

No AQ, don't you go anywhere!

Night both and all.

Elibean · 16/12/2008 23:18

Thank you LenniEd, its lovely to be worried about, but don't, or I'll start worrying about worrying a very pg woman...

I'm going to take dd to see the HV and get her weighed tomorrow, get a reality check on how much she's losing/lost and whether it really matters. She's drinking well, so hopefully not as big a deal as it seems (at times - you know how lack of sleep is).

As for me, I'm really ok, just tired. As long as I get my weekly shot of reassurance about dd's physical state, the rest is alright. Think I got a bit knackered this week because dh is unwell again - but I do have support, and help, and I'm good at asking for both . Just been moaning a lot here to take the pressure off

Besides, I don't feel under any pressure to clean my bathroom, unlike some

Elibean · 16/12/2008 23:18

Any bh tonight?

TisTheSeasonToBeSolo · 17/12/2008 00:15

Hello! yes, I'm sorry, I did miss your hello Elibean...was feeling a bit lonely and grumpy, sorry
Also, am soooooooo envious of all you pg laydees. I'd just love another one. When are you all due? I've missed loads!

LenniEd · 17/12/2008 08:28

Cramps all night, but no BH Think this baby is just taking the proverbial now.

I'm due Jan 13th Solo, and Indith is due 20th Dec. Glad you made it back.

More later... nappy calling.

LenniEd · 17/12/2008 11:28

Well I've organised my sock drawer, and my knicker drawer, painted a mug and dusted the only room in the house the visitors are guaranteed not to go in and now I'm knackered Does this count as productivity?

Eli, will carry on worrying all the same about you and DD but promise not to mention it again so you carry on updating us. Hope HV is reassuring.

TisTheSeasonToBeSolo · 17/12/2008 12:58

Ooooh! how exciting for you all...not long now then!

SachaF · 17/12/2008 13:02

So I go away for a long weekend and you guys have posted 3-4 pages!
Castles, FB photos look brill!
We went to the Lakes for the weekend. Managed to get most of the way up Scafell Pike but the toddler screaming in his daddy's ear convinced us to turn around! We (dh and I) were really enjoying the snow and dd was asleep all the way up, I woke her for a feed and then she slept all the way down. So portable at that age, unlike a toddler....also the FIL was struggling with the snow.
Have come down with the flu and dd seems to have it too (first dose of calpol today, seems so strange to be going through these decisions again!) so am pleased ds is at nursery today.
Right, reboot that laundry....
