scorpio1 · 26/11/2008 13:47

PeachyAndTheSucklingBas · 26/11/2008 16:05

Ah ignore them

I'd rather be a chav than the sort of operson who happily goes around sissing other people name choices

Denny185 · 26/11/2008 16:33

Sorry ur feeling poorly Scorpio.

DD2 hs bronchiolitis, o joy, tis the season to be jolly.

OMa hooray to sleep

VictorianSqualor · 26/11/2008 19:42

I want to know their name choices
I know that as Ella is 'Danni-Ella' it's called 'chav' as is Bobby because it's a shortening, yet today I said how much I love tiggy as a nn and was told to use the original 'Antigone'!!! (pronounced an-tig-oh-knee).......

scorpio1 · 26/11/2008 19:46
PeachyAndTheSucklingBas · 26/11/2008 19:59

the one they hate is stirling, not that harold is popular either

good, means there's less of them to get mixed up with! If harold had been given the name harry (admittedly ew shorten it but school doesnt)- well could you imagine tryin to reach the asd kid by name in a sea of several others? pmsl normally takes a few goes for a name response!

bas has developed a love of dancing sooooo cute!

scorpio1 · 26/11/2008 20:01

I love Stirling, so cool

Would you bid on this? See item location

here

scorpio1 · 26/11/2008 20:01

Ahhh @ Bas, he sounds so cute and lush. Mimi is getting better and her little toothy is coming up nicely.

VictorianSqualor · 26/11/2008 20:14

Hmm, no feedback as seller.
Only with lots of contact and paypal.

scorpio1 · 26/11/2008 20:19

they are very new, aren't they(the seller)? They are selling another Bug item though. Oh i want it hmmpphh. Did you see item location, lol.

If it goes for £60 ish will paypal protect?

PeachyAndTheSucklingBas · 27/11/2008 09:15

I wouldn't bid if I were you. Becuase you bought a pink buggy snuggle last week LOL

E-mail them and state your worry, see how they respond? They probably think tis funny

TheShipsCat · 27/11/2008 10:18

I love ebay. Made £62 . Only thing is, buyer is old, never used ebay before and can't cope with paypal...hoping he's going to turn up with the cash...

Sorry about your man flu Scorpio. I am feeling a bit sorry for my self too, as have (TMI alert) terrible period, only 3 weeks after last one and very full-on. Is that normal? Does it take a while for them to settle down again? Or am I going to have a horrible time for the rest of my fertile days?

Oma- great news about sleeping! Hope it continues - doesn't it make a difference to everything?

EllieG · 27/11/2008 10:30

Hey ladies - no posting yesterday cos Molly is poorly and I went to work in the afternoon! Was quite nice but I missed her.

Don't know what's wrong with her - a cold I think, but may be teething as has bright red aunt sally cheeks and is off her food. Doesn't want anything she has to chew at all, so we are off the mush and back to purees. Yesterday would only eat yoghurt. Had to take her to A&E the night before cos her temp went so high - 40.6 degrees, and wouldn't go down, so they said to bring her in. By time had got her there it had gone down though, typical. So we hung around for ages having various tests and then home for a v v bad night's sleep. But she slept OK last night though, so may be getting better.

Yey for you sleeping OMa - hope it continues

Thanks for sleep stuff VS

Have another question too ladies - DD very bad at eating finger foods - she chokes and I panic and I am not giving her enough of them. And she is starting only to want pureed food, which is bad. What is a easy finger food to start with?

TheShipsCat · 27/11/2008 10:42

Hi Ellie,
so sorry to hear Molly's been so ill. Poor you and her. I wouldn't worry too much about the finger food thing if she's not interested at the moment, especially if she's poorly. But rice cakes are good as they seem to sort of dissolve, and there are some organix finger biscuity things that A really likes. Banana, too, is good. But don't worry about it, she'll pick it up when she's ready. She won't want to be on purees for ever!

A went on solids hunger strike at nursery on Tuesday, refusing all food for some reason. Came home and ate mash with ham and peas, a yoghurt, a bowl of stewed fruit, and two biscuits.

EllieG · 27/11/2008 10:45

They pack it away at funny times sometimes don't they? DD will eat lots of breakfast - BIG bowl of porridge or oatabix plus fruit of yoghurt sometimes, but then that seems to do her for ages. I suppose is how we should eat I guess, most in the morning, then less at other meals. Will try the rice cakes. Banana is tricksy sometimes as she just squashes it in her little fat hands and then drops it, but will keep trying!

TheShipsCat · 27/11/2008 11:05

banana can be pretty messy - actually, everything is! The other way is just to increase the lump content in her food, so she gradually gets used to more lumpy stuff, and to let her play with it rather than you just spooning it in...

scorpio1 · 27/11/2008 18:24

Mimi had good time at nursery today Looks like my first day back will be tuesday coming

Though she has been right teasy this afternoon, all fingers in mouth etc, poor thing she didnt even like custard today

DH has man flu now too. May have to be a takeaway tonight for us. ho hum.

Ellie i hope M gets better, poor thing.

chipmonkey · 28/11/2008 01:42

Ellie, tricksy? Are you Gollum?

TheShipsCat · 28/11/2008 13:42

Just found a really nice online toy shop, if anyone's looking for presents...

here

VictorianSqualor · 28/11/2008 15:36

Hawkins is great for xmas too, especially stocking fillers.

Ellie, I find cucumber sliced diagonally is the thing Alex finds it easiest to eat without any choking, or bananas mushed in custard (that's a spoon one though!!)

scorpio1 · 28/11/2008 19:34

DH is fighting again a week Sunday, it's a 'bare' fight this time, just mouthguard thing

Hope someone knocks some sense into him

I am going, its 12-7.

Got Mimi her first Grobag today, a lovely bright pink & orange one. We found that in the mornings her covers were all off, and this way she will keep all warm, bless her. All good here, apart from another period, thats me in for the weekend then . Not too fussed as we are on sex ban anyway because of dh fight.
