Oh shit, took too long to post. SOL - am so, so sorry to hear that. Was so, so hoping that was not the case, as I'm sure were you. NL's advice is good, and she knows about this stuff. We are all here for you. Blimey you have had a crap week haven't you.

Sexonlegs · 24/10/2008 17:48

I am not feeling too down about it strangely. We don't know if it has spread to her lymph nodes (we know that next week) and it definitely hasn't got to her liver which is a good thing.

If it is chemo or whatever required we will just deal with it it.

I have told my boss from the start what has been happening and he has been truly amazing.

Just need to keep busy. Have just washed the utility room floor of all things!!

SharpMolarBear · 24/10/2008 17:50

Sol I was really hoping you wouldn't have bad news and I am so sorry.
I agree with everything NL said, especially about looking after yourself and your family, we can knit lentils and send them to you if it would help? and talking on here when you need to, or getting specific advice from other areas of the board.
xx

SharpMolarBear · 24/10/2008 17:51

glad your boss is supportive. Is she in an NHS Hospital?

CaptainDippy · 25/10/2008 09:18

Morning all

How are you doing today SOL? DH around this w/e? I hope so.

Sexonlegs · 25/10/2008 10:19

Morning folks.

Thanks again for all your lovely wishes.

Feeling ok, and yes dh is around and being a star.

Going to go and see my Dad shortly and then Mum this afternoon; feel so incredibly nervous.

My brother flies back to Singapore today and we had a chat last night which was emotionally charged, but lovely. Luckily, work brings him back in 2 weeks' time for a week.

Right, better get on. See you lovelies later on. xx

NorthernLurker · 25/10/2008 15:43

Hi all

SOL - glad dh is taking good care of you and I hope you are having a good visit. Glad to hear your borther is coming back as well - great for you all to support one another.

We've had family round today and now I need to go pack as we're off on a jaunt up to Scotland tomorrow.

CaptainDippy · 25/10/2008 17:51

Hey there Glad you are being well looked after SOL, hope seeing your mum & dad today has been ok. Glad your bro is back again soon

Dreading the clock change ... ....

oooggs · 25/10/2008 20:25

Take care and be good while I'm gone back next sat/sun

cazboldy · 25/10/2008 22:30

Have fun Oooggs!

CD - I am looking forward to the extra hour in bed, but not rushing around trying to do the ponies before it gets dark

Dooby - Really good to see you back... We missed you!

It is my ds1's birthday tomorrow.... he will be 12!

leakyR · 25/10/2008 22:52

Oh SOL you are being so strong.
Will be thinking of you and your family. NL's advice all sounds good - she's an excellent woman to have around in a crisis.

Having a weepy hormonal day anyway today, so think I'll sign off now. will checl in again tomorrow.

Goodnight x

Sexonlegs · 26/10/2008 07:50

Morning all

How are we this windy and wet morning?

Leaky, hope you are feeling less hormonal today x

Dippy, how did the clock change go in your household? I know you were not looking forward to it.

All ok here. Went to see Mum and Dad yesterday and it was absolutely fine. I had been dreading it.

Mum was much perkier and chatty, and was more like her usual self which was a relief. She held my hand the whole time Felt very positive after I left.

Not sure whether to go today, as poor dh is feeling under the weather and he had the girls all day yesterday. I'll just see; more wanting to make sure Dad is doing ok.

So, what is everyone else up to today??

PillockOfTheCommunity · 26/10/2008 08:40

I'm here and have yet again been reminded why I dread visiting she who I'm supposed to call mother. Yes, I should be grateful she's letting us stay here, but I wouldn't have done if she'd told me the truth about arrangements

She's away until this evening. She hadn't got anywhere ready for Skott and gf to sleep. She's put me and M in high sleepers and J in the travel cot (which is fine). I cannot sleep up that high and when J wakes up in the night I can't take him up there with me. M is not going in a bed that high, especially in a strange place where he'll wake up confused. All 3 of us ended up on one single mattress on the floor. Great nights sleep that was!!!

Either she sorts it out properly tonight or I'm going to a travelodge, bugger this for 3 nights! I'm supposed to be working on Tuesday so need calm!

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Ok, rant over
It's raining here which doesn't bode well. Skott has gone duck shooting with BIL, they'll be back soon and then we're planning to leave the children with them and go do the food shopping.

Hope all are well, runny I need you to text me or MJ

Bramshott · 26/10/2008 14:21

Glad yesterday was okay SOL.

Very quiet day here today - DH is out on his bike, O is asleep because she was up half the night , and N and I are sitting in front of the fire watching Alice in Wonderland and knitting/making pompoms!

CaptainDippy · 26/10/2008 14:39

Sounds idyllic Bramshott, we're off to outlaws ...
