Oh dear . Do you think after a bit longer he might have cheered up?

Sputnik · 19/10/2008 17:16

It wasn't a normal cry, it was an hysterical "in pain" cry
We'll see this week what happens when I leave for longer. If he calms down I'll get them to phone me and stay away a bit longer than 30 minutes.

And there was me thinking I could go to the hairdressers!

LittleMissNorty · 19/10/2008 19:11

Hello

Oh Bumper ....no luck for DH on the work situation yet I assume?

With you Sputnik on the visitors thing.....its enough keeping my own lot fed and watered without anyone else....by the end of the weekend, I always glad to see my visitors....whoever they are.....to go home

Everyone's Halloween names are great.....my brain is seroiusly deficient since being pg, so think I shall stay as I am.

DD was an angel whilst travelling on our hols.....I definately recommend a DVD player and cbeebies DVD.....sent us fucking mad but she LOVED it and didn't hear a peep out of her....she was really good considering she was in and out of different cots / highchairs etc. She got a bit pissed off in the buggy occasionally but as long as she got her freedom occasionally on the swings (or running across St Andrews golf course), she was fine.

Having had a good 2 weeks, I have to admit to look forward to going back to work on Tuesday for a break ....how on earth am I going to manage 11 months mat leave

LittleMissNorty · 19/10/2008 19:12

Oh Sputnik, I hope this week at nursery is better....I'm expecting K to play up a bit on Tuesday as she has only seen us for the past 2 weeks....

JammyOLantern · 19/10/2008 19:15

Hi all. ANd welcome back Norty. Glad you had a good time.

Had a nice day with my brother and his GF. Jamlet was very good out, especially considering she had her lunch an hour and half later than usual. We had a lovely pub lunch and were going to visit an arboretum, but DH & I had forgotten the pushchair for jamlet so that was off the cards But we all came back to ours and then took jamlet to the swings on her bike instead And after my brother had gone home I made drop scones for jamlet's tea Have decided I should do more cooking for/with her so that was a start.

LackaDAISYcal · 19/10/2008 19:48

evening all.

Hi Norty, glad you had a good holiday and it's good to have you back

I "spoke" to Fury briefly on facebook this morning. Her DS has been poorly as well. That time of year again!

I took DD shopping and bought....big pants! woo bloody hoo. No nice handbags in Next, couldn't be arsed walking as far as TKMaxx, but got DD a new winter coat in ASDA for £12.....much nicer than the awful looking ones that they had in Next.

Then we went to see the boys fishing, by which time DD was beside herself and wouldn't stop screaming and just wants to cuddle into me. So I brought her home, thought she felt a bit hot.......her temp was off the scale on our wee forehead thermomoter . I stripped her off, gave her calpol and then she just sat sobbing against me for an hour and a half. Her tummy was really sore as well, and she seemed to be in pain all over. so we have not long got back from the OOH doctors and it seems she has a nasty ear/throat infection (her breath smells really bad) with ABs and more calpol. Feel a bit shit that I took her out today in the cold and wind, with sore ears

And the boys fishing hole lived down up to my expectations of it!

More cramps going on tonight, but I think I just overdid things today a wee bit!

LackaDAISYcal · 19/10/2008 19:50

sorry that baby sputnik isn't settling at nursery. Must be hard to leave him when he is like that

the gym foxy.......are you mad?

JammyOLantern · 19/10/2008 20:35

I have lost my voice again Am having to whisper to DH else he can't hear me.

HollyWeen · 19/10/2008 21:01

Poor dd daisy. At least you know what the problem is now and hopefully the abs will sort it. They can work remarkably quickly, so she'll prob be ok in the morning. Sorry you had a shit shopping trip.
jammy, I think you should go back to Dr. I have had my tonsillitis dismissed by drs as viral before and it isn't, it is bacterial. You might need some abs. Hope it gets better soon.

Sputnik, I know my ds would be the same re settling in a nursery. If he's upset no one else but me will really cut it! Hope he gets used to it.

Baby show was a bit shit. Glad I hadn't paid for the tickets!

Ooooo! Dirty Dancing on C5!

TALLULAHBELLE · 19/10/2008 21:05

Nice to 'see' you again Norty. Glad you had good hols.

Poor DD, Daisy. But am sure a bit of fresh air wouldn't have done her any harm.

Hope baby Sputnik settles soon. Do you think they way they are settling the LO's makes it worse. 15 min doesn't seem to give him much chance to get used to new surroundings & people.

I am back at work tomorrow after 2 weeks sick leave & one week holiday. Can't bear the thought. I am so tired. Got up at 9 this am & went back to bed from 12-2 whilst DD had her nap. How I'll manage to get up @ 7:30 then keep going all day I don't know. And will miss DD even though she has been a wee besom today.

TALLULAHBELLE · 19/10/2008 21:07

Great Holly. From Strictly to Dirty. Made my night .

HollyWeen · 19/10/2008 21:09

Hi Tallulah. Matthew was seriously turning me on doing the Paso! He was all masterful and manly

LackaDAISYcal · 19/10/2008 21:11

I had to hold DDs hand all through tea tonight. Every time I let go she started screaming and wailing moooommmmmmeeeee in a plaintive voice, bless her.

I think I had a contraction . Well, I mean I know I had a contraction, but it felt like a proper one iykwim...and of course most of you will kwim. Shall I just shut the feck up? anyway, it started under my bump and spread upwards and was very sore. I had to stand up, but could only get halfway up and was sort of leaning forwards and rocking at the same time. DH just laughed at me which made me want to cry. Was about 20 mins ago and although I feel really uncomfortable; period cramps, backache, the most abominable farts I have ever emmitted , not had another big one like that. The top of my bump feels really sore as well. I'm bloody scared.

but it;s possible down to eating too much at teatime and then stuffing myself with maltesers, as I feel a bit full and sick as well.

LackaDAISYcal · 19/10/2008 21:14

lol at "wee besom" tallulah. My gran always called me that

Bloodystumperlicious · 19/10/2008 21:16

Oooh daisy, I know this is going to be scary for you, a VBA2C, and you are very brave doing it after everything you've been through. If it's all too much though, and not doing it's thing hopefully they can do the necessary. Either way, you will be fine. Make sure you hold DH's hand realllllllly hard next contraction in retribution!

How many weeks are you? Who is looking after the kids? If this is it you may find yourself needing the loo quite badly soon. If it's not it then I'm sorry that you are going through all that pain . Thinking of you!

HollyWeen · 19/10/2008 21:18

DAISY! How exciting! Do you think something is happening? Do you need to poo? That's how both of mine started! Poor dd. Hope she's ok poor little mite!

Sputnik · 19/10/2008 21:18

Tallulah I was in there with him for an hour the first day, then 1.5 hours the second. He was happly playing and wandered off into other rooms. It wasn't til day 3 I tried leaving him after we'd been there a while. Oh well. If only I could leave him with a Shaun the Sheep DVD I'm sure he'd be ok, he loves Shaun, but they can't have a DVD player for copyright reasons, aparently.

Don't envy you going into work, it must be hard enough without being pg with twins (my mum was a teacher too).

Your poor DD Daisy, hope she gets better quickly

Holly, how come you went in the end?

Bloodystumperlicious · 19/10/2008 21:20

I'm starting WW again tomorrow! Does anyone have an activity point calculator? I never got one when I started.

Sputnik · 19/10/2008 21:22

Daisy we are all now hanging on your next bowel movement!

HollyWeen · 19/10/2008 21:27

I think I might have one bumper. I'll have a look for you.

Dp took his ds home and the baby show was only down the road so I just went. Was a bit rubbish really!

I love Patrick swayze in this film!

HollyWeen · 19/10/2008 21:29

Pmsl sputnik! Go on daisy poo!

TALLULAHBELLE · 19/10/2008 21:31

Oh Daisy, a contraction. Do you think this is IT?

Holly I felt that way about Brendan when he was swishing that cape about. Know he's not your cup of tea though.

LackaDAISYcal · 19/10/2008 21:36

I've definately got one bumper....email me your addy and I'll send it. I won;t be needing it in a hurry that's for sure.

Had another one , and it needed some back rubbing by DH. and yes I really feel the need to poo!

but this is not it....can't be; foxy's not here

TALLULAHBELLE · 19/10/2008 21:37

Oh how can I go to bed now? This is too exciting Daisy. Hurry up Foxy.

LackaDAISYcal · 19/10/2008 21:40

tallulah, I will not be responsible for the complete and utter fatigue of a heavily pregnant woman; get yourself off to bed!

I'm pretyy sure this is just overdoing it with chinese takeayaw and maltesers
