POTC I would just go in and then be surprised it's Friday - depends how well you can pull that off...
(Or change of clothes in car?)
Good luck btw!
Dippy, T has been dreadful with sleep recently it has almost all been teething. hope it's the same for P and over soon xx

CaptainDippy · 09/10/2008 11:30

PillockOfTheCommunity · 09/10/2008 11:36

geordieminx · 09/10/2008 12:40

Tell them you have appointment with solicitor/bank/school/ something else?

oooggs · 09/10/2008 14:45

I would go with the 'bugger wrong day' and play on being blonde, works for me

I had a lie down in bed at 11.15 as feeling dizzy and very tired and dragged myself up at 2.30pm to have something to eat before the school run

I'm supposed to be going back to work next week

SharpMolarBear · 09/10/2008 15:19

I meant to say I forgot leaky in my list - when's she due?

PillockOfTheCommunity · 09/10/2008 15:37

Had a lovely day today but by the time it gets to 5pm I'm on the countdown to bedtime TBH - in the night garden can't come on fast enough!!!!

cazboldy · 09/10/2008 17:27

Hello all!

You have been busy chatting!

NOthing much to report here..... Charlie settled much more quickly at playgroup today, and there were no tears!

Am off out for a very exciting evening with a load of old men talking about how to make more money out of their beef cattle and their sheep

Why do i put myself through it?

Why can't I say no?

I am a mug!

oooggs · 09/10/2008 19:14

liath - at least you wait til 5pm - I'm thinking about it on the way home from school

CHANNEL 4 9PM NINETY NAPS A DAY

dippy - feeling any better?

Sexonlegs · 09/10/2008 20:07

Hi folks.

Oooggs, hope you feel ok. Sounds like you need to be signed off again.

Caz, oohh, sounds thrilling Have a good evening!

Hi Liath - back so soon??

POTC, I would go in and pretend I got the day wrong. Good luck with the interview. What job is it/where is it??

Dippy, how you feeling now?

Hi SMB, hope you are ok.

All ok here.

Mum had a scan, but it was a gynae scan and her problems are with her bowels! She is v down about it all, as she had assumed today would shed some light on the issues. She went staight to the GP and has demanded an appointment with the gastroenterologist. Luckily they have private health cover otherwise she was going to have to wait for 1 month. She is now saying she is not ruling out the worst Not like my Mum at all.
So stressed about it all.

SharpMolarBear · 09/10/2008 20:09

Oh no Has she got an appointment? Just seems to drag on doesn't it? It's horrible when you just want to know what's going on and how to fix it.

oooggs · 09/10/2008 20:13

sol - hope she gets some answers soon

I am going back to work and will see how it goes, only for two weeks then I have a weeks leave booked, at least this way they can see for themselves. I have good and bad days (alot depends on how the nights have gone!)

evening katy

Sexonlegs · 09/10/2008 20:21

No appointment booked as yet, but hopefully next week.

Pesha · 09/10/2008 20:31

Oh SOL it is horrible waiting for something like that isn't it? I do hope she gets a scan soon.

Dylan crying, not sleeping at all well lately. Woke up screaming the other night and wouldn't let me touch him just flinging himself around his cot getting more and more worked up Finally managed to settle him with bf which was quite a relief as he hadnt fed for a few days so wasn't sure there'd be much milk for him. Although he did end up spending most of the night in my bed feeding so i was knackered the next day but at least he wasnt screaming all night! Ok screaming picking up now rather than settling like i hoped so better go

SharpMolarBear · 09/10/2008 20:40

Pesha

Pesha · 09/10/2008 20:56

Was diarrhoea nappy, has had it last few days but been ok today so thought he was over it but obviously not Then cried when I put him back in cot and started uh uh uhing at the box of toy cars. He already had 12 toy cars in his cot with him which he had insisted on me carrying upstairs for him (he had tried to carry them all himself but when he kept dropping them he brought them over to me to carry up for him! ) but apparently that wasnt enough and he also wanted the big toy tractor that was in the top of the box The boy is obsessed!!

Nathan has his blood tests tomorrow, not told him yet because I know hes going to get himself all worked up about it but it means picking him up after school tomorrow when hes always tired and grumpy anyway and then taking him straight to hospital. He really is not going to be happy. Although this time I found a leaflet about the Emla cream the dr gave me and apparently when I pick up the prescription I need to buy a pack of the little patches you have to put over it (its supposed to numb the skin for injections) so hopefully it will actually work this time. J is finishing work early to come with us otherwise it would be really hard trying to be there for him at the same time as maia is talking non stop and dylan is trying to escape/climb/explore/destroy everything in sight!

Keep telling myself its all ok and we're just doing this as a precaution and I'm sure hes going to be fine but can't help thoughts popping into my head about what if its not and all the things it could be. Sure it will be fine though, realistically it could be coeliac disease but dont think its anything worse than that. Still don't like the waiting though!!

Sexonlegs · 09/10/2008 21:06

Hi Pesha. Poor D and his runny bum. Hope he is over it soon. Bless him and his fleet of vehicles!!

And poor N. Hope the blood test goes as well as it can. Glad you have J coming with you.

I turned on to CH4; is POTC supposed to be on the programme?

PillockOfTheCommunity · 09/10/2008 21:08

It's on now!

And I've just had texts from all my family reminding me, anyone would think I was likely to fall asleep or something

OP posts:
PillockOfTheCommunity · 09/10/2008 21:11

Nooooooo, I'm not on there, these people are much worse than me, it's quite interesting to see just what might lie in the future for me, and makes me feel incredibly lucky.

I don't have cataplexy either, I'm in awe of the girl who's attempting Uni and had kept it a secret, I didn't go because I didn't want to be laughed at

OP posts:
oooggs · 10/10/2008 07:58

Good Luck wth the interview POTC

Hope your Mum gets some positive news soon SOL xx

Pesha - Hope today goes as well as it can iykwim xx

Last night was actually not too bad..... Was quite interesting focusing on the publics buying trends, and what affects them - obviously atm it's all about the "credit crunch"
They were also talking about using the whole of the carcass, and eating more of the pieces that have gone out of fashion.
I said the problem is that people nowadays don't generally have 4 hours to wait for a casserole, they want something quick to prepare, and also that a lot of Mum's my age don't know how to cook a lot of the different cuts....... He agreed whole heartedly with me, and wrote down my comments...... so nice to be taken notice of for a change!
