J only has a bottle when he's not feeling well/having a growth spurt. He stopped wanting them when he was ill a few weeks ago and I just fell into not giving him one from then on. M still had a bottle at bedtime when he was older I think.

He stayed in there but I did have to go and rescue him once when he'd woken up and got out of bed but was too sleepy to work out what to do next

I'm not in the office today, took J for his scan, went as predicted with lots of screaming and kicking but they got the pictures they needed.

Over your way later Caz - will wave in your direction!

Also meant to add, Glad you had a nice meal Runny, but sorry you are unwell again

cazboldy · 20/10/2008 11:39

Ok will wave back

So when will you hear what happens next?

PillockOfTheCommunity · 20/10/2008 11:43

No idea, supposed to have an appt with the pead. consultant through but that hasn't arrived yet, then they'll review the scan and decide what to do next. If it's what they expect it to be then he'll be operated on once he's 2.

Oooggs, ds has a bottle before his nap and one before bed. I'm not in a great rush to stop, dd had a bottle at bedtime until she was over 2. I guess at some point I'll switch to a cup.

T doesn't have bottles in general as no need, but when he stayed with parents and PILs I sent him with bottles for the night feeds, and still would if he was going again. I've never thought a cup would cut it through the night purely from a comfort pov but on the other hand he had a temperature and infection the other night, was feeding all night, and during the night I had a drink of water, he pointed at it and asked for some and drank almost half a pint I know it was because he was ill and very hot but felt so guilty and have meant to have a cup of water for him from now on as well.

So sorry to hear that you've been in pain again Runny. Is this something they will sort out by an op or something in future?

SOL - sorry to hear you've been feeling down. I think it surprised me when my Grandpa died, how much it effected me - even though he was a good age, and it was expected. The funeral was a lovely occasion though, and a good chance for 'closure'.

Luce - glad you are sounding more upbeat about the move.

Err, forgotten everything else so sorry to everyone I've missed off. Busy weekend sorting out DH's grandmother's house ready for her move into a flat (she's still driving at 93, and needs to stop ). Came away with far too much stuff that I was unable to say no to! It will be nice once she's moved though as she'll be very close to us, and the flats are in town just by the swings so hopefully we will see her more often.

Better get lunch for O - she is being a cutie this morning! Then off to try to cram all the cake tins, jelly moulds etc that I came away with yesterday into my cupboards!

Bramshott · 20/10/2008 12:38

And of course meant to say congrats to Hensden! How exciting! And how lovely that she popped in to keep us up to date!

Oooggs - will email you back. Looks like your triple buggy was a bargain! You will have arm muscles like a miner though!

CaptainDippy · 20/10/2008 16:19

Don't believe this. My Dad just phoned to tell me Mum has been admitted to hospital - went to A&E yesterday and there last night and tonight. They have no clue what is wrong and don't seem to be doing anything

Dh away tonight as well

Back later to read the other posts. Sorry. x

NorthernLurker · 20/10/2008 18:29

Oh SOL

Lots of hugs to you and your your girls and prayers for good news too.

Ok - now stay calm, eat and drink something. You can ring A&E and ask for an update you know - do you know the number or if you say which hospital I can google for you?

CaptainDippy · 20/10/2008 18:31

Oh SOL Prayers & thoughts are with your mum, your dad & you tonight my love. Do call A&E for an update. xxxx

Bramshott · 20/10/2008 18:34

Oh no SOL NL's idea of calling is a good one - then you wouldn't be relying on second hand information IYSWIM.

Eddas · 20/10/2008 19:02

oh no sol, hope you get some news soon x

Pesha · 20/10/2008 19:08

Oh no SOL i hope you hear something more soon and all is ok.

SharpMolarBear · 20/10/2008 19:08

has she been admitted? or gone back to A&E? xx

Sexonlegs · 20/10/2008 19:36

Hi loves. Sorry to disappear. Not in A&E any more - been admitted. It is this thing to do with her stomach which has been going on for a bit.

Dad has said not to call as she is absolutely exhausted and to wait for him to call me with an update.

Feel so stressed. Hoping she is out by Thursday for the funeral, but who knows?

SharpMolarBear · 20/10/2008 20:01

Oh no, must be so frustrating waiting for news. Hope you hear something soon
