hi everyone
caz, i assume you've looked in the car?
prob too late to say have a fantastic time to JS! 4am as well

Sexonlegs · 07/10/2008 21:26

Evening

Where is everyone????

JS, if you are lurking, have a wonderful time!!!

Talking of lurking, where is NL??

Caz, have you found the keys? Has M hidden them somewhere? B used to hide stuff in her plastic ride-on car that had a lift up seat! Love her!

Bramshott, sounds like you had a fab evening.

Oooggs, hopefully POTC has texted you. x

Hi SMB Loving the new name.

Erm, brain dead.

Exhausted - nothing new there then!

Had to go to Asda this evening. Tesco delivered last night, but the fridge door in the van had stuck, so they couldn't deliver any fridge products that I had ordered - and there were quite a few. They refunded the money plus the delivery charge so not all bad.

Trouble is, I ended up buying K some trousers and tops and a few other bits that were not on the list! That's why I shop on-line - no distractions!!

So, how is everyone tonight??

cazboldy · 07/10/2008 21:35

Thanks for the tips guys!

SPB - the car is locked!

SOL - That has been a favourite hiding place here too, but has been thoroughly searched, as has every nook and cranny, drawer, cupboard, box etc etc etc - you get the idea!

and still no luck! I am so angry with myself, and I feel so stupid! Had a key cut that would at least open the doors, just in case the keys were inside, which cost me a £10, but they have either cut it wrong or sent the wrong one or something, because it still wouldn't open!

A man at the garage said he can sort me out a new key, but only if the car is at the garage, as it is a coded lock, and they need the code to make a new key....... so if I can't sort something in a hurry then it will have to be towed in ( which in itself will cost a small fortune! ) and then I will have to buy a new key! ........ I have literally no spare money atm..... Really not looking forward to the next couple of months with christmas and everything

sorry for being so terribly self absorbed

JS really hope you have a lovely time

SOL - bet K looks really cute in her new clothes

POTC - not ignoring you - quite the opposite in fact, have been thinking of you!- but didn't want to make a fuss! xxxx

PillockOfTheCommunity · 07/10/2008 22:23

caz - What were you wearing when you last went out in the car? Have you checked inside all the shoes in the hallway? The childrens' coat pockets and bookbags? The freezer?

Hi all, sorry not to have been around much again, and that I missed Maveta.

D's been getting over his cold, then dp was ill, now D seems to have what dp had, he was sick everywhere this evening, fortunately for me dp did all the icky clearing up while I just tried to comfort D as best I could - tbh he just seemed to want to go back to sleep.

I had my glucose tolerance test this morning, so went to bed earlier to resist just sitting down here eating things, it was just as disgusting as I feared but at least I didn't throw up at that point. My mum assures me there's no family history of diabetes on her side, really hope they don't find evidence that I have it, even just the gestational type.

POTC, I'm just trying to guess what you're saying but no idea about accuracy, hope it all works out ok and that you find a new job as good as the one it seems you feel you have to leave.

Caz, good luck with finding the keys.

cazboldy · 08/10/2008 08:48

POTC - Again, thanks for the tips, but no luck!

Elkie - really hope your results give you the all clear

Why do they suspect that you have it? (sorry if you have already said)

Farrier coming today, which could be great fun, as the field is a mud bath atm

And will have to try and sort out this key .......

and so the saga continues..............

oooggs · 08/10/2008 11:44

morning the sun is shining and all children at school or nursery

yes ellie texted me in the middle of the night (well about 10.30pm ish ) so I am no closer to having a clue

caz - hope you sort the keys etc out very

elikie - I had that test with ds1 as he was measuring a 'big baby', it was clear but he weighed 7lb 14oz (but was 4 weeks early)

last night dh and I went car shopping (online autotrader) and have found 3 cars which we aim to view on saturday! new car/new baby - not sure which I am most excited about

elkiedee · 08/10/2008 11:45

Caz, it's not so much that they suspect I have it, my weight ie BMI at my first appointment with the midwife was high enough that I was put down for the test automatically, more than 3 months ago. In other words it's because I'm fat . I wish I'd just refused, or said no unless they identified a more substantial reason to do it (a symptom not a statistic).

I'm hopeful as there are no other risk factors - I don't carry my excess pounds around my waist, I have no previous history or known family history etc, and in my first pregnancy I was overweight to start with (but a few pounds less than this time) but put on almost no weight in pregnancy) and ds was at the lower end of normal baby weight range at well over term.

CaptainDippy · 08/10/2008 12:15

Popping by quickly - busy busy busy today - eeeek!!

CaptainDippy · 08/10/2008 12:18

Sexonlegs · 08/10/2008 12:23

CaptainDippy · 08/10/2008 12:26

Bramshott · 08/10/2008 13:16

Have you found them yet Caz? What did you do the last time you came in? What else did you have in your hands?

SOL - I'm really sorry if I have missed this, but was there any news from the tests your mum had or is she still waiting?

cazboldy · 08/10/2008 13:29

No

They have completely vanished!

But haven't actually looked much this morning as the farrier has been to my ponies........

He is a new one as we have moved and he is gorgeous! Honestly if I wasn't married, he wouldn't be able to fight me off

Sexonlegs · 08/10/2008 14:12

Hi there.

Bramshott, thanks for asking. My mums blood tests were inconclusive and she has a scan tomorrow afternoon. Keep your fingers crossed. Sounds like she has been in quite a bit of pain this week

Caz, !

Elkie, hope the test goes ok.

POTC, any news on M's dad's job?

K really whingy today. Down for a nap now thankfully so hope she will wake up bright eyed and bushy-tailed!!

Need to get on as lots to do. Back later. x

Bramshott · 08/10/2008 14:35

Fingers crossed for tomorrow then SOL - will be thinking of you and your mum.

Eddas · 08/10/2008 16:47

I need some advice please,

Ds won't eat his diners, he won't even try them. If it's a baby food jar he will eat most of it, bu not my food. It can't be my food as he doesn't try it, so how do I get him to eat? He's so small anyway. He really is trying me with his food and non eating

Any advice gratefully received

geordieminx · 08/10/2008 17:11

Eddas - C goes through phases like that... I think its either his teeth are hurting and therefore he doesnt want to chew anything, or he is too tired/lazy.

Its so frusrating isnt it? Sometimes I make C 3 or 4 different things, and he wont even try them, although he will always eat fruit of any sort, eggy bread and jelly... not exactly a balanced diet. TBH days like that I just let him get on with it, and would rather he ate crap than nothing at all. {{{{bad mummy emoticon}}}}}

CaptainDippy · 08/10/2008 17:29

All 3 of mine are crap eaters

Hope all is good fory ou mum tomorrow SOL - strange black dolly in the post

SharpMolarBear · 08/10/2008 18:31

Eddas, well what I would do is

Whatever you do don't take my advice!!
SoL, will be thinking of you tomorrow x

cazboldy · 08/10/2008 18:33

Yes Good luck for your mum for tomorrow SOL xx

Eddas - I take it you still feed him from a spoon? Will he pick stuff up with his hands? Molly just has whatever we are having, but eats with her hands. If she has cereal she has it dry, with a cup of milk. It is messy but she wouldn't eat if I tried to feed her.

James (bless him) has found my spare set of keys, so crisis sort of over.......I am sure the others will turn up eventually!

I feel so happy and relieved, but I have a really bad headache from all the stress!

Eddas · 08/10/2008 18:33

thanks gm and cd dd used to have a few off days with her teeth but ds has been off food for what seems like forever. BUT he will eat weetabix/porridge and anything really mushy, so i'm guessing it could well be teeth. He has a massive back tooth coming, which has taken an age. It looks like is growing wrongly, but they all look like that(hopes she's not a bad mother and it is growing correctly) With dd I used to get worrid about her not eating and would ask the HV and they would always say not to worry that she wouldn't strave herself. I don't go to see the hv with ds grin] and he is tiny anyway(well compared to dd!)

DH wasn't here to consult either when he failed to eat again!

GM, I agree better they eat something than nothing. I shouldn't worry but it is so hard

Eddas · 08/10/2008 18:36

x-posts smb

and caz, no ds feeds himself hasn't let me feed him in a fair while. He eats messily quite well with a spoon I do give him whatever we have now but 8 out of 10 times it'll go in the bin

Bramshott · 08/10/2008 19:06

If any of you lovely ladies have opinions on what I should replace my kitchen floor with, do come here and share them! Please resist the temptation to suggest a stage trap with a remote operated button that I can drop DD1 down when she's being annoying .

CaptainDippy · 08/10/2008 19:38

Popping in - off to a quiz night at church - byeeeee!
