Yes, and IIRC she wasn't alone I think of it in exactly the same way
Urgh at nappy pulling off, T hasn't figured that out, but does love being nappy free and able to pull and squeeeeeeeeze anything he likes - makes my eyes water

oooggs · 06/10/2008 19:28

leaky - slow down and rest (from the biggest hypocrite)

Sexonlegs · 06/10/2008 21:15

Evening all.

Dippy, the party is not until the 8th November, so plenty of time. Thanks v much for agreeing to this. Glad you are feeling better today and that P has been napping.xx

Ellie, I am being really dense. I don't follow

MJ, hope you have a wonderful holiday; you deserve it

Oooggs, wow at a triple pushchair; so you have to have really long arms to push it???

Leaky, poor you. Take care of yourself. xx

Mav, lovely to see you again - bitten by the mn bug again eh?

Pesha, lol at D peeing all over the place! Although I am sure that is not how you feel. Have visions of the advert for Huggies!

Bramshott, what a pita day. Hope tomorrow is more constructive. Sounds like you had a good night on Saturday. Was it a classical concert? What does your db play?

Hope everyone else is well.

All ok here, although K seems unsettled tonight.

On a positive note, my Dad called again today to say that db is "very much looking forward to staying with dh's parents"!! Amazing!!!!

Eddas · 06/10/2008 21:54

evening, still awake, just. Was so tired today, all day DH told me to go upstairs once he was home, so I did and watched the soaps uninterupted for 2 hours, bliss

Had to come back downstairs though to change internet provider work deal with it and they changed over today, apparently. Not sure it's done correctly, but i'm still here so I guess it's ok

busy day again tomorrow, nappy forum in the morning followed by a preschool meeting in the evening. I want to get the accounts sorted before it pah!

eandh is very kindly having dd for me after preschool tomorrow she's bringing her home after her diner

sorry there's no personals

Right, bed is calling

PillockOfTheCommunity · 06/10/2008 23:27

SOL - will check if I have your mobile number and text you if I do, if not will facebook you.

Oooggs - I'm not sure I have any just yet, have several recruitment agencies to see over the next few weeks and will see where it goes from there I guess. Oh, and I'm past giving a stuff what she knows anymore, if she's pathetic enough to need to know every last detail of my life then so be it
As for moving, it's something I've been considering for a long time, when M was small I stayed because I would never want to take him away from his dad (still wouldn't really) and then Skott moved back up here so that put me off going anywhere. Now M is older and Skott is older with his own life, perhaps it's time to start thinking about it again?
Feels like it might be time for a fresh start, although obviously that's a HUGE decision to make so not one I'll be making anytime soon.

looks like M's dad may well be made redundant this morning. It could work out for the best in the long run because he might agree to relocate with us and then I don't have to worry about taking M away. (J's dad informed me it's my fault he can't afford to run a car as I'm insisting on maintenance and their rent is too high, I told him to find somewhere cheaper then, and oddly enough am finding it very difficult to worry about him right now. M's dad is a much better dad to J most of the time)

CaptainDippy · 07/10/2008 10:10

Congratulations on your niece oooggs

So where are you thinking of going POTC? about M's dad's redundancy; but hoping it actually turns out to be a positive for you all

Bramshott · 07/10/2008 11:03

Congratulations Oooggs! Now don't forget to email me about the nappies / night pants in the excitement. You have got my email haven't you?

SOL - yes, it was a concert of Brahms partsongs with a hunting theme and Brahms 3rd Symphony. My brother was singing (he's a countertenor) and lots of the people I used to work with were playing. I went for a drink afterwards and felt quite like the me I used to be 6 years ago IYSWIM! Made me realise that I really must put some effort into kick-starting my career again - I have been coasting for the past year because it's very easy just to sit here at the computer, and because DH is not really keen on complicated childcare arrangements (if I have to work eves, he has to pick the girls up) but dammit, I am good at what I do, and I really must sort it out!

JellySnakes · 07/10/2008 12:11

Hi everyone!

POTC, hope the agencies come up with something perfect for you. The job you have is fab though, shame about the other bits! Look after yourself xx (yes, a big sloppy kiss for you, even worse than a hug )

Oooggs, congratulations on your niece, lovely news

I will not be around for just over a week from today, flying at 9am tomorrow morning from Bristol which means I have to leave my house by around 4am (that is a yawning face). Will be worth it for a week in the sun though.

Thanks for all your good wishes ladies
See you all in a week

JellySnakes · 07/10/2008 12:13

Ooh, I am so excited [gri n][g rin]
Can you tell?!!

JellySnakes · 07/10/2008 12:14

JellySnakes · 07/10/2008 12:15

JS, have a great holiday

luce, dd has invisible children. and a husband

hi oooggs, potc, cd, bramshoot and gm

nappy discussion was fun we weren't supposed to know each other but out of a room of 10 I knew 5 of them, oops! we all covered it pretty well And it was all specific to one supermarket so we had to say our main shop was there(was told off the record!) It was fairly simple and I got £40, although in scottish money, but it's all the same

Pesha · 07/10/2008 13:31

JS - have a fab holiday

Luce - dd used to have invisible friends with some very strange names. The only name I remember now is Bloodintheneck Not sure where that came from but they were all nice friends. Think she just got bored with them after a while, or grew up and lost that extra imagination bit iyswim.

Have to get on and do something today! Back later to post properly

cazboldy · 07/10/2008 14:49

Hello all

Congrats Auntie Oooggs - she is the sae weight as our new addition, who I went to see yesterday, and is absolutely gorgeous! Have to say that although I enjoyed my cuddle, didn't get any of those brrody achey feelings (hope ykwim and don't think I am mad!) so hopefully maybe, my body has decided that enough has enough......

On a less happy note I have lost my car keys, to the point that I have tipped the house upside down looking for them to no avail, and I can't remember where I put the spare ones when we moved......

AAAARRRGGGHHHH Help what the hell else can go wrong???????????
