after our chat the other day potc I fully understand why you have done that and I think it may well prove to be a very good decision. Maybe just don't move near me (I know that's sound horrible but I know potc will know what I mean )

dippy, I hope P's sleep is just a blip, maybe teeth related? I'm already dreading ds giving up his naps, dd gave hers up around her 2nd birthday, so I am trying to appreciate them whilst they're still happening He doesn't seem anywhere near giving them up atm

Leaky, sounds like your dad is behaving like a child. Hope your mum is ok, as much as she can be IYSWIM

SOL, the news re your mum sounds positive atm, fingers crossed that continues {{{{hugs}}}} Re the db issue, can you give db a ring and explain your worries with his plan?

Sorry all else has disappeared from my brain so hello

ds is still very attached to his numberjacks dvd case. He loves watching them atm, it's so cute!

Not much planned today. HAve to go food shopping as I keep forgetting to do an online order and we need food today as the cupboards are bare

We've got a wedding reception to go to this evening. I'm not sure I can be bothered, but dh arranged last minute babysitters(MIL as usual!) gah! I had said he should go alone and drive, just show his face as it's his mates sister's wedding who he's known forever, but it appears I must go. What will I wear

StealthPolarBear · 04/10/2008 10:18

Dippy, how long's that been going on for?
Eddas - I bet you really enjoy it in the end, it's always the ones you're not looking forward to that are the best
T and DH being a pain this morning. T still cries constantly like when he was a baby. is that normal and when will he grow out of it?

cazboldy · 04/10/2008 11:00

Leaky i second that May babies are lovely - Harry is the 18th! I can't believe your dad

SOL - Glad that there was no bad news about your mum

POTC - are you moving away from us?

(and I am in Norfolk!)

Oooggs - there is a male childminder at our school with one of those buggies, and they seem great!

I had a 7 year old and his 5 year old twin brothers round for tea last night. They were really lovely little boys. Their dad is a sahd and their Mum works. She doesn't like children and he actually said this in front of them while they were playing with Harry's tractors in the living room while we had a coffee.... made me feel really

Andrew had a bad night, and had to have the vet out to a caesarean on a cow at 2.30am, not funny when he had to be up again at 4.30...... and I couldn't sleep without him there either!

Pesha - I also thought about becoming a child minder, but didn't really want the extras after school, and there wasn't a lot of point in me doing it with having M and C at home ( M was under 1 at the time) But loads of luck to you....... You sound really excited about it!

Off out to do the ponies..... it's bloody freezing here!

StealthPolarBear · 04/10/2008 12:52

That's awful (what the mum said) caz
Hpe the cow is OK and you all have a better night tonigt
Well T has yet another tooth coming through which explains why the misery never really stopped. I feel so sorry for him but DH is upstairs holdig him while he howls, I need a break from feeding him

Pesha · 04/10/2008 13:59

SPB - sorry T is being hard work atm. D has a cold and bit of a tummy bug and very clingy, grumpy, whingy and hard work. And only sleping a max of half hour in the day then waking up several times a night

I have a delay on my laptop, words coming up about 5 seconds after i type them all coming up at once Its horrid so im giving up and will post more later. Hopefully restarting will cure it but have to take Maia riding in a bit so no time for faffing aboput fixing things now! Dont want to go as my spd is really bad today, no idea why, but dd so excited so I have to!

StealthPolarBear · 04/10/2008 14:19

leakyR · 04/10/2008 20:55

Day 1 of no bf went well. Quite a bit of yelling this morning but it passed pretty quickly and he's only pulled at my top once today. It does mean dh is having to do early mornings and bedtime I'm a pregnant lady who needs her rest

Hope everyone gets a good night's sleep.

oooggs · 04/10/2008 21:01

any help here with night time wetting much appreciated

yes leaky get some rest whatever that is

StealthPolarBear · 04/10/2008 21:33

Hi everyone
Glad it's been OK leaky
How are you oooggs - you have been generally exhausted?
I had the bright idea earlier of sorting out all our clothes, so tipped them all over the bed, which means I now have to go and sort them ebfore I can go to bed
T was asleep before 7 but woke up half an hour ago when our crap heating decided to kick in and sounds like a fountain

Sexonlegs · 04/10/2008 22:17

Evening

Dooby, you have probably signed off now, but good luck with the move. x

Oooggs, hope you get a good night's sleep tonight. No answers r your other thread. With B we just made sure she had a wee before bed; even if she says she doesn't need one, I make her sit on the loo and I turn the tap on! Works every time!!

Leaky, glad the bf-stopping has gone well today.

Dippy, how are you tonight?

SPB, our heating makes a racket as well; a really annoying tapping in the radiators. Hope T settles.

Pesha, how is poorly D?

Hope everyone else is ok.

Had a good day here. Didn't do much, but just being together was lovely. Dad called me as well to say that he and Mum thought db was cheeky and thought it totally inappropriate that he would expect not to stay overnight with his ds. Dad went on to say a whole lot more as well about db tbh, and not a lot of it was praise-singing.
Got the in-laws coming tomorrow.....

Right, need to go to bed. Hope you all have a great nights' sleep. xx

Pesha · 04/10/2008 22:45

Sorry no advice really Oooggs. With N he started wetting quite frequently for a while but soon after started getting scared at night so going to sleep in my bed then when I went to bed I would carry him back to his bed but alweays take him to the loo on the way and this stopped it. Would you want to wake him up in the middle of the night for a wee or clean nappy or would you then run the risk of him never going back to slepp?? POTC might be able to help, I know she always buys large size tesco nappys for M when she is down here.

Dooby - good luck with packing and moving. I am 2/3 packed but as move has been put back by a month (now moving on 24th) we are all living out of boxes

Leaky - glad stopping bfing is going well

D is so, so thanks SOL. Lost his appetite quite a bit but seeming ok in himself. Had a lovely time when M was riding splashing in all the puddles! Luckily I'd actually remembered wellys this time!

Maia loved riding and did ereally well with rising trot and keeping her hands held right. Lesson lasted half hour and cost £8 which isn't too bad really. Riding stable owner lady remembered me from my days there! Only one horse is still there from my days though, Odin who is now 33 apparently

Eddas · 05/10/2008 08:09

Morning

We went to the wedding reception, it was good! The bride is such a lovely person, she calls dh her 3rd brother If she hadn't been the bride I wouldn't have recognised her as she is totally different to last time I saw her(maybe a couple of years) DH caught up with a few people from school he hadn't seen in years so he was happy

I didn't tell you all, on tuesday morning i'm off to talk nappies for 1.5 hours, market research for a supermarket i'm getting paid for it too, yipeeeeeee! Apparently I could help change the nappy of the future

CaptainDippy · 05/10/2008 08:10

Glad M enjoyed riding Pesha

Glad your dad intervened SOL - see - YANBU

I am ok, P did some sleeping yesterday and last night - hoping for more of the same today!!

Feeling a bit sick

Eddas · 05/10/2008 08:14

x-post dippy, can't believe you're feeling sick again you really do deserve a break from being ill {{{{{{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}}}} glad p slept a bit, fingers crossed it was a blip
