Hi loves

Thank you so much for your lovely messages re my Gran. Feel drained today tbh. Haven't told B yet. She was in bed when Mum phoned and I didn't want to tell her before she went to school. Will talk to her later. I am sure she will be fine; she will probably ask if she can have the chair my Gran had - one that goes up and down at the press of a button!!

JS, welcome back!!! Lovely to see you. Glad you had such a good holiday.

WO, lovely to see you too stranger. Sounds like you are as busy as ever.

Pesha, what a relief re N. So glad everything is all clear. Good luck with the packing!!

Leaky, sorry you are so sick. Must be awful. I was so so lucky as I was never sick with B or K.

Caz, glad parents evening went well.

SMB, T all better now? Enjoy your evening

Erm....

Brain emptied. Sorry
xx

NorthernLurker · 17/10/2008 17:57

Pesha - that must be a weight off your mind!

Hi to everyone else. All ok here. Dh back tonight having been away all week - hurrah - and tomorrow I'm getting a bit of solo time in town to mooch around and do stuff

Bramshott · 17/10/2008 18:50

NL has just said everything I popped in to say (she often does, she is very wise !) SOL - so sorry to hear about your Gran, and Pesha - fantastic news about Nathan, both on the tests from and on the school front.

Better go - am having an afternoon of very lax parenting Am about to go and toss the DDs into bed and put gin, tonic and 2 glasses out on the kitchen table and hope DH gets the general idea!

Pesha · 17/10/2008 19:21

Lol Bramshott - for a minute I thought you were having another dh free weekend and just saing time with the 2 glasses!! I have packed all my bottles of alcohol But J bought me a box of wine from work last night so I am ok again!!

N got a gold award at school today for being kind and polite I could almost burst with pride atm!!!! Feels like hes going back to the boy he always was but just got a little smothered by things for a while.

CaptainDippy · 17/10/2008 20:14

Sorry about your Gran SOL

Just popping in and out I am afraid - too exhausted to keep up atm - apologies!

Love to all, I am off to bed (saddo) ... xxx

Hi Oooggs - eating for two eh?
Dh is home and has gone out for a chinese - I am so HUNGRY!!!

oooggs · 17/10/2008 21:20

well you would think I was eating for four!!!! well at least it should drop off with a triple pushchair to get about !!!

Sexonlegs · 17/10/2008 21:21

Blimey Oooggs! You taking notes??? x

It was fine telling B. She just asked me if I had a picture of Gran dead! I told her that if I seemed sad, it was because of my Gran dying, and she leant over and gave me a hug! Bless her.

NorthernLurker · 17/10/2008 21:23

Glad B was ok SOL

Did you decide on a triple then Oooggs? I definately think you'll need one - you walk quite a bit don't you?

Hope dh gets back soon - i'm getting very worked up on the thread about telling your child to hit back.

oooggs · 17/10/2008 21:40

yes I bought a 2nd hand triple for £50 this one and my parents are picking it up from Kent next weekend (so no postage)

oooggs · 17/10/2008 21:43

yes I will be walking to school 3 days a week with the triple and collecting again (other two days dts at nursery) also toddler groups on Monday, Tuesday and Friday when I will have three of them.

Will use the single on Wednesdays & thursdays when dts at nursery and the double when someone is about to help, when dh is home and one dt can walk or we will use a single and the double - fun!

car shopping again tomorrow

PillockOfTheCommunity · 17/10/2008 22:12

I'm back

not that I can actually tell you much, but I'm here anyway

Had a phonecall from one of the agencies about a job this afternoon, sounds promising.

Not a bad day really, was quite chirpy when I left work!

Oh, and when I change jobs I've decided I'm changing my name!

Hello all, it's been a long time (again) but just thought i'd pop on while bouncing on my ball to say my waters went this morning so things are starting to happen, midwife has been and gone (won't go and get gas and air till i'm in agony But I do get my homebirth so far as all goes well from here)
Eddas your offer to have my brood if need be made me cry at your care even though you don't know me. When DH family have just said well whats wrong with giving birth on your own, get on with it. I showed DH and he has at last admitted that MN isn't all that bad. He has until now questioned why I would want to join a group like this, but Eddas your offer said it all and he now knows that even though i'm not a regular I've got more support and care from you lot than I have in RL from anyone. I'm sorry if i'm rambling but it's taking my mind off otheer things.
Anyway back to rambling my due date was the 27th so a bit early but i'm not complaining as I've been aching a lot lately. I gonna go and walk around a bit, I may be back later.
But thanks all you lovely April 07 ladies for keeping on chatting and letting me take part when I can ow ow ow bye for now
Lynda (hensden)

SharpMolarBear · 18/10/2008 11:27
