Morning Bumper, grey and raining here too.

We used to have virtually no heating in our bedroom, the electric blanket for 1/2 an hour before getting in was what saved us I think. They say flannel sheets are good too.

LackaDAISYcal · 04/10/2008 10:30

Morning all.

had a night of weeing and cramps......this morning have got constant period type cramps (if I didn't now better I'd say I was about to come on), pinkish discharge, lots of BH (not regular) and feel like I'm abut to burst into tears at any minute.

It's probably something and nothing but given that I've never gone into labour on my own before I'm not sure

Watch this space I suppose.

Hi bumper, hope you've had a good week. How did DH get on with the interview?

OP posts:
Sputnik · 04/10/2008 10:52

Maybe speak to your Doula Daisy?

LackaDAISYcal · 04/10/2008 10:56

I'm in denial about it at the minute sputnik. Don't want to be a spanner as I'm sure it'll all settle down.

Besides got too much to do today to be bothered having early babies

Had a couple of texts from Trace....Chloe doing really well since her reaction to the meds and was supposed to be in till Wednesday but as she is doing so well they are talking of letting her home tomorrow. she is one special little fighter

Bumperlicious · 04/10/2008 11:02

Oooh daisy, exciting! Are you planing on a VBAC. Can I be your birth buddy again?

DH's interview seemed to go ok, but there is another interview stage , a phone interview and 2 proper interviews for a customer services job!

LackaDAISYcal · 04/10/2008 11:07

Can you say who it's for bumper? With that amount of interviewing they should have shit hot customer services!

Yes, going for VBAC. At the hospital on Monday to discuss options. You'll be on the list of Important People to text when it happens

I'm sure things will settle down later. I have probably just overdone things; maybe the dancing and throwing DS around the dancefloor wasn't the best thing to do at 35 weeks pregnant

RiallyEeRiaee · 04/10/2008 11:09

you sure it's weeing daisy? It's so exciting.

I was obviously asleep with my teeth clenched last night. my face is hurting. Also had weird dream about getting back in touch with favourtie ex boyfriend.

raining again today. cabin fever in massive doses.

RiallyEeRiaee · 04/10/2008 11:11

glad DH got on ok bumper, I was thinking about him (in a non-weird/non stalking kind of way of course). I am a bit since DH started using his new improved CV he hasn't had a single interview. I suppose he maybe isn't bothered until after Weds now anyway.

Bumperlicious · 04/10/2008 11:14

It's an insurance company, but I won't say any more. I already divulge too much on here! I had to get a bunch of posts deleted where I had talked about DH's work situation and panicked as when it goes to work they might have lawyers doing some digging! And you lot are less than subtle about what I do I shall have to kill you all you know

LackaDAISYcal · 04/10/2008 11:50

i was having all sorts of weird dreams involving being stuck in a cabin in the wood with a random bunch of MNers......you know you're on here too much when....?

Definately wee Ria

OP posts:
RiallyEeRiaee · 04/10/2008 12:48

just checking daisy

I haven't a clue what you do at all bumper, so I can't be less than subtle. I want to know though! Hope it's not a rural Ins Co? I worked for them in a little rural agency office. my boss was a twunt.

We are off to sainsbos this afternoon, so much excitement in my house I can hardly bear it

RiallyEeRiaee · 04/10/2008 18:07

right, we are off to brave the outside world and visit DM&F. Just to get me through til bedtime!

Ohforfoxsake · 04/10/2008 18:17

outside world?

Hope you aren't going into labour Daisy Do you think you've had a show?

Did my bit this morning, took boys to footy, came home ready to collapse. Neighbour took my boys off me this afternoon which helped. Still feel dreadful.

Bleurgh. Am going now and I'll take my misery with me.

Night you lovely lot

LackaDAISYcal · 04/10/2008 18:45

still here

think i just overdid it on the dancelfoor last night! Had a very restful morning, then mostly dorected with the deculttering this afternoon. things have settled down now thankfully, although I;ve had a bit more cramping theis afternoon.

We have at least cleared a path to DDs big pram so virgil has somewhere to sleep if he does choose to arrive sooner rather than later.

But, ticksy third pregnancies.....I'll still be here at 41 weeks no doubt!

take it easy foxy; hope you feel better soon

Bumperlicious · 04/10/2008 20:21

Evening all, I expect you are all doing more exciting things than me. Just spent 2 hours sorting all DD's clothes out and equipment for the NCT sale next month. Didn't realise how late it was meaning that DD is still up drinking her milk now . Although saying that she doesn't usually go to bed till 7.30-8 anyway. Does that make me a really bad mum?

Anyway, let me share with you my DD's brilliance: the last couple of days she has been copying me when I mimic sleeping so she cocks her head to one side and goes "shooooo" like a half snore, and she can count to two! Well I say she can count to two, what I actually mean is when I say one she says "two". She just picked that one up without any badgering from me as I often count to 3 three when I'm doing stuff like strapping her in her chair. Do you think I should call mensa?

LackaDAISYcal · 04/10/2008 20:37

lol bumper.

no not a bad mum; DD gets a rare stay up late treat when I'm too busy pootering pottering to notice the time, and yes, get mensa on the phone quick sharp

I am surfing the net, watching pulp TV and having another major bout of cramps and BH. when I get a big one, there is a lot of pressure on my nether regions, which I haven't had before with braxton hixties.

I might call the hospital tomorrow if it goes on much more.

JammyOLantern · 04/10/2008 20:51

Hi all. ILs went home this morning. Been bust all day but have just caught up.

Hope Foxy is feeling better. And Daisy, it does sound rather worrying, so yes check with the hospital in the morning.

Bumper, good luck to your DH and what a clever girl you have!

Ria, OU sounds good. I've done a few OU courses over the years so ask me if you want any info and I'll try and help.

We had a curry too last night. It was yummy. And MIL made a super yummy mango tatin. Mmmmm. Was good to see them and they obviosuly LOVED looking after the jamlet. The reason the place was so quiet when I got home was that they'd taken her out for lunch and had had a ball! I was so tempted to start an AIBU thread to say "My PILs took my 15month DD out for pizza without asking me first, so AIBU to be so glad that they had a wonderful time?"

Today I spent over an hour ironing baby clothes to sell at NCT NNS next week. And I sorted out some toys and stuff to go too, so fingers crossed. PILs didn't have such a good day. They got caught in an overflowing river on their way home and had to have the car towed out. They had to abandon the car and get taken home, and will find out tomorrow of the car is alive or not.

I'm feeling ropey by the way, coughing lots and feeling decidedly under par. First cold of the season for me I think

RiallyEeRiaee · 04/10/2008 21:19

hope your PILs are ok, and their car too. bugger these blasted colds. you would have got slated one way or another with your AIBU jammy well done for being able to tolerate your ILs and be nice about them (I know it's possible and it must be nice, I do wish mine weren't such arses sometimes as it's that the boys aren't keen and that we make all the effort.)

OU seems do-able, its only an "openings" course I'm looking at. It should be free cos we're benefit scum, so I won't lose anything. There must be more to me than this (i have been reading poetry this week, I love the words)

I had lots of "downward pressure" type feelings with baggins daisy. I think it's this 3rd PG getting ready thing. You wouldn't think it would take so fecking long for the body to "prepare" after 3 would you? (though if you want to have Virgil before Weds so I can covet coo over him that's fine by me)

Hi 00bumper

RiallyEeRiaee · 04/10/2008 21:20

you are not bad mummy with your late bedtime by the way, that's early in our house

JammyOLantern · 04/10/2008 21:32

How many points is the course Ria?

I do get a bit wound up by my ILs sometimes. In fact about a year ago I had a right go at her . But we made up, and though it's taken some time to get over it, I think it's OK now. Mind I do have to take a few deep breaths now and then. But I was pleased that they'd enjoyed their lunch out. It was nice of them to want to take her, and I trust them to take her out like that.

RiallyEeRiaee · 04/10/2008 21:43

it's 10 points jammy. I could've already had that as the holistic therapy course I started (and had to stop because my sciatica meant I couldn't drive/travel in the car to get to class) would have been 10 points if I'd finished it

Sputnik · 04/10/2008 21:56

Evening all.

Just got back from a pizza with my first ever Mumsnetter

Bumper 7.30 8 would be early in this house, but we are continental.

RiallyEeRiaee · 04/10/2008 22:00

hi sputnik

JammyOLantern · 04/10/2008 22:02

Hi Sputnik. How was the pizza?

My face is burning up, my head hurts, I want to go to bed, I badly need to pee but I just can't be arsed to move!

LackaDAISYcal · 04/10/2008 22:04

bumper/jammy, I think that if you are working full time, then your DCs bedtime is naturally later as you need to spend some quality time with them when you get home from work. My sister's kids have always been late to bed as a result of her going back to work when they were both about six months, but as I was at home with DS until he was two he was always pretty early to bed.

whatever works for you as a family is just fine.

ria, the OU course sounds good. I want to do something as well; just to stop my brain from completely atrophying.

jammy, it's good that the jamlet is happy in the PILs company, especially if they don;t see a lot of her. They might have called to ask if you minded them taking her out for lunch though; or mentioned it in their plans.

Was this one of your little italy ladies sputnik? it's nice meeting up with people and putting faces to names.
