TALLULAHBELLE · 07/10/2008 21:05

Evening everyone. of you domestic godesses, I still haven't done tonight's dishes.

JammyOLantern · 07/10/2008 21:07

I haven't done tonight's dishes either Tallulah. Will clean up in the kitchen in the morning.

How are you anyway?

Ohforfoxsake · 07/10/2008 21:08

Hi T! How are you doing? Did you find an outfit for the wedding?

Ohforfoxsake · 07/10/2008 21:10

we ate at the cafe at the swimming pool, so I didn't have any dishes. Slack Tuesday I like to call it.

LackaDAISYcal · 07/10/2008 21:19

I never do the dishes the same night

Had a majax at bedtime with the DCs and picked DD up and plonked her on the sofa in a very impatient way as I'd just had enough. I turn round and she has pulled out everything; I start to put stuff away and she is in another room pulling stuff out there. does my fucking head in....so i lost it. She got a real fright and was screaming and DS was shouting at me as well . Another low point in my parenting . DS stomped off to bed, so I got DD sorted and in bed and when I went into DSs room I couldn't walk across the floor for toys and needed to change his bed. I just crumpled and sat there in tears for five minutes, with DS clinging onto me and crying too and apologising for being a bad boy. Really can't do this single parenting lark any more, and although there is now an end in sight, it kind of makes things harder, if that makes any sense at all.

Oh and DH called at teatime. Some complete w***er has scraped all the way along the passenger side of the car and then done a runner. He wants me to snoop on our neighbours car tomorrow as he says it's a similar colour paint that has rubbed off on his. He hadn't used the car all weekend so he thinks it must've happened outside our house or at the swimming pool on Saturday. We are at the end of a cul-de-sac and lots of people come up not realising and then have to turn round outside ours so it could have been anyone.

{{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}}} Daisy

You are not a bad mummy.
You are a normal mummy.
Actually, no you are not a normal mummy,

you are a special mummy.

(OK, just a leeeetle bit barking then )

TALLULAHBELLE · 07/10/2008 21:22

Am off work with back pain. Supposed to be resting but had to go shoe shopping today (for DD not me -). Was her first pair of proper shoes, never bothered before as she only pulls them off & throws them out the pram but now she is well & truly walking, wanting to run about the park etc. We bought the only pair of shoes they had that fitted her teeny weeny feet - size 3 & they're still a bit big.

Got a new top for the wedding & wore it with black mat trousers I already had. Top was pretty long which was just as well as couldn't do the zip on the trousers so had them on the last button with the elastic stretched to its limit. Just as well wasn't up for any dancing, could have been embarassing.

JammyOLantern · 07/10/2008 21:23

Arse about the car Daisy. And big hugs over the stressy bedtime. I think it's normal to find it harder when you've coped with something for a long time and then the end is finally in sight. Like when I've "held on" for the loo for ages and that's been absolutely fine, but when I actually get in the bathroom suddenly those last few seconds until I get to the loo itself are almost impossible. I think the brain sees the end coming and starts to relax control. Sorry if my comparison was TMI btw.

JammyOLantern · 07/10/2008 21:26

Jamlet has teeny tiny feet too Tallulah. She's currently wearing 2.5G. Must get her checked, as it's a couple of months since we got them and they go only lovely and easy still and feel OK, but probably best to get them checked again...

RiallyEeRiaee · 07/10/2008 21:27

bollocks for your car daisy.

don't forget you are a PG mummy too. we all lose it sometimes. and of course, you'll be stressed to your eyeballs about meeting me tomorrow perfectly usual behaviour!

TALLULAHBELLE · 07/10/2008 21:28

Its exhausting isn't it Daisy. I am off work for rest but wondering if dealing with 26 9yr olds would be easier than one DD. And you have DS too, & are about to drop any time soon. No wonder you are feeling low. Don't be so hard on yourself.

LackaDAISYcal · 07/10/2008 21:29

oh, jammy that made me laugh and feel better....exactly like that I suppose ]

No doubt about foxy.....I am definately barking. Poor DS though , but we sat and had a really nice chat and I have bolstered him up a bit I think.

I feel huge and cumbersome and ready to burst tonight

Are you well T? How many weeks now are you?

I have to confess to baggins having a pair of black crocs in a size 7 (I think), bit big but he loves them, if we go away in half term I might take him to the cheapo Clarks in Kendal and get him measured.

Ohforfoxsake · 07/10/2008 21:30

It does no harm for you kids to realise that you are human, have feelings and a breaking point.

Hell, the spend long enough trying to push you to it!

TALLULAHBELLE · 07/10/2008 21:32

Where did you get such little shoes Jammy? Are they walkers or just cruisers? I really wanted wellies/ boots but no one had anything smaller than a 4. Think DD is really a 2.5 but nothing in a walker that wee.

LackaDAISYcal · 07/10/2008 21:32

I told DS when he was talking to DH on the phone to tell him that he had to come home as I was off and I'd had enough. I was only joking at that point though!

OP posts:
TALLULAHBELLE · 07/10/2008 21:35

Not insensitive at all Daisy. I am 26 weeks now - feels more like 36 though.

LackaDAISYcal · 07/10/2008 21:36

T...Next do wellies in Size 3! I have a rather fetching pink spotty pair that are hardly worn and won't be put to good use any time soon if anyone is interested. DD grew out of them really quickly and they seem quite small made. All their little shoes start at a 3 I'm sure.

Ohforfoxsake · 07/10/2008 21:36

How long do you reckon before DH is back home every night then?

You might find that things get better once Virgil is born, weird as it sounds, things can get easier with number 3. Honestly.

Ohforfoxsake · 07/10/2008 21:36

How about you Tallulah? When is your DH back by your side?

TALLULAHBELLE · 07/10/2008 21:38

Next sizes seem pretty big though. She has a wee pair of baby shoes from there in size 3-6 months which fit her now. They are just those ones that are purely for decoration, she got them as a present as a newborn!

LackaDAISYcal · 07/10/2008 21:38

these ones here

TALLULAHBELLE · 07/10/2008 21:41

DH back Nov - 6 weeks I think. Plan to take to bed the moment he sets foot over the doorway. Looking forward to handing over the reins.

LackaDAISYcal · 07/10/2008 21:41

he has to work three months notice foxy, so Christmas at the very earliest if he talks them into letting him out of his contract a couple of weeks early....or fingers crossed he gets some gardening leave.
