Oh Japanese definitely! When he's old enough he can teach us

CaptainDippy · 16/09/2008 12:19

Poor T P sends him dribbly

I think crisis might be alleviated

StealthPolarBear · 16/09/2008 12:21

That's good Dippy!
Hey he'll give you dribbly hugs back, but you don't want to know where he'll be dribbling from

StealthPolarBear · 16/09/2008 12:22

Oh the hug was from P, sorry misread
Well he'd smarten himself up a bit then for the ladies

CaptainDippy · 16/09/2008 12:24

Sexonlegs · 16/09/2008 16:04

Hope T is better soon.

StealthPolarBear · 16/09/2008 17:03

oh i spoke too soon

leakyR · 16/09/2008 17:13

I'm home from work again! I did go in, but after nearly an hour on the bus (fecking roadworks) I threw up in the street as soon as I got off. Classy! I want a big sign for such occasions which says "Pregnant not alcholic!" I was then sick 4 more times between 8am and 10.30 so decided to come home. The person in charge of my team said she didn't like the idea of me getting a bus, so she'd ask the admin staff to call a taxi and the bank would pay - apparently they do this for sick people at times! She then came back looking sheepish and said that I live too far away and I'm not sick I'm pregnant. I didn't even know they would do the taxi thing but was slightly miffed about not being eligible. Came home on tram as it's quicker and less sick making, but bloody expensive. Still feeling yuck but have managed to keep a very boring sandwich down.

Poor T - diahorrea is awful and one of those "What have I done - why can't I make it stop?" ailments. Hugs to all the Polar Bear family.

Dippy you have a lovely mug!

I think George is foreign too he babbles away to himself, to me and to my mam on the phone. Although this week we've had a lot of "Yes" and "No" in context.

My dad "has nowwhere to go" Boohoo! So my softhearted mother has said he can stay in the house until he finds somewhere. His woman friend has a son and daughter in their late-teens/early 20s and they are spoilt brats. They don't like my dad much so we are assuming he's been told he wouldn't be welcome there.

Mam is coming to stay with me next week. Be good for her to get away and have some quality gran time.

CaptainDippy · 16/09/2008 17:16
Sad
leakyR · 16/09/2008 17:19

Off to collect the munchkin from nursery - it's whizzing down with rain here!

StealthPolarBear · 16/09/2008 17:31

oh leaky you poor thing ewith sicknesss!
glad your mum is coming to stay

NorthernLurker · 16/09/2008 18:25

Hello

Caz - yes I was horrible to the girls yesterday morning whilst we were all stressed getting out of the house but then we had a lovely time in the evening and all was well this morning so I've probably graduated back from evil-witch-mother to being mostly-ok-mother!

Leaky - morning sickness is awful isn't it? I remember being sick in a car park bin and the attendant came to give me a hard time. I said that I was pregnant (between huge spasms of vomiting) and he said 'oh right love - errr you carry on then'

Dippy -yeah for haircuts! Sorry I haven't texted back All well here just busy, busy.

SPB - poor T. I'm sure it's not you you daft thing! Some children definately have guts which are more sensitive than others. My older two weren't too bad for D but could V for England. So far B has been sick only once (crosses fingers) but she's had two ear infections which neither of the other two have had ever! Go figure... B is still breastfed but it didn't stop her getting the infections.

Eddas - seen your posts. hope things are much more settled soon. Childcrae for two is hard isn't it and you just seem to spend so much time thinking about the blithering stuff!

I've had quite an interesting day today. Had to go over to a huge hospital to meet some people in connection with part of my new job. Managed to find the right place - in itself a major task and I think I got some useful info. Also had two cookies, an improving magazine and a trash rag to read on the train - and time to read them! Right - big girls are out at the club they got to at church so I need to pay attention to B. Dh is away all week again worse luck Oooh B not happy - must dash. Byeeeeeeeeee

StealthPolarBear · 16/09/2008 19:15

Hi NL
Hope B is OK
It has been 5 months since his last lot, just feels like it never stops some times

oooggs · 16/09/2008 19:54

caz - less of the old

just a quicky about girls and boys talking (as I have two of a similar age to compare) Erin is a parrot and repeats everything - teabag, sunshine, yes please, Jack Jack, Jacks socks, Jacks shoes, go get James etc (as well as the usual mummy, daddy etc.).

Jack on the other hand - yes, no, no, no daddy, mummy, socks, shoes and thats about it - but he does other things like doesn't make a mess when eating for example

all children seem well, I have suddenly gone very tired again

anyone else (with new reception children) finding the constant childcare/timings etc a juggle?? I am chasing my tail at the moment and I'm still off work - its going to be --hell- manic when I go back

Sexonlegs · 16/09/2008 19:55

Hello

Leaky, my heart goes out to you. Think it very mean that they wouldn't pay at least a proportion of the taxi fare Bet it was a man that came up with that policy!
Hope you are feeling ok. Have a lovely time with your mum xx

NL, lovely to see you. Feel for you with your dh being away.

SPB, it is not you. Sadly when lo's are in nursery, it is so easy to pick up bugs, what with the stuffing everything in their mouths all the time. Really hope T is better soon. Has he stopped being sick? If so, good old startchy food like bananas, bread, potatoes and pasta are good bunging-up food.

Oooh Dippy, a haircut

How is everyone else.

All ok here. Had to dismiss someone today at work as they are to ill to continue. It was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. I don't mind dismissing people if they have been naughty, but this was incredibly sad, but the only option. Feel drained now.

Doobydoo · 16/09/2008 20:03

oH lEAKY,spb, sol AND Eddas I bloody well hope things pick up for you soon!
Pff to uk on thurs[eekamundo]wish me luck. Will visit here when I get back
Take care ladies,beans and toddlers.xx

runnyhabbit · 16/09/2008 20:12

W had his hospital appt about his liver and he's ok!!!!!!

What the consultant thinks has happened is that the fluid on W lung, weighed the lung down show much, that it pushed the liver into an area where you shouldn't be able to feel it, therefore giving the impression that it's bigger than it actually is. W had a very thorough check up, and the consultant said he is a very happy, healthy little boy, and discharged him

Doobydoo · 16/09/2008 20:18

FANBLIMMINTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![grin

NorthernLurker · 16/09/2008 20:28

That's wonderful news Runny!!!!

SOL - I feel for you. In the past I've had somebody on my team dismissed for misconduct. I didn't actually have to do any of the disciplinary stuff myself - but I found it very stressful nevertheless. To be taking part in the process is very hard - especialy for an issue like sickness where I'm sure we all have sympathy with the employee - but that can only go so far and your employer pays you to take account of their interests. You've done the right thing - now put your feet up and have some ice cream or something!
