what a very odd dream pesha!

I don't do horses, so will steer clear of that convo!

Class sounds good SOL, I really ought to get my bg ass to one, but never do maybe in the new year once work is sorted yeah right

Congrats on our new nephew caz, was it boys that make you broody?

erm,

nope, that's it!

We're having pre-school issues, again. I should resign and let someone else deal with it, but what I want to do is take it on as chair and kck ass! I think i'm mad. I have neither the time or energy for such things, yet my head says go for it! It'd be good for the cv oh I don't know. Think i'll probably just stick to being treasurer [dull] [boring]

In dc news, ds' new favourite thing to carry round with him............ a numberjacks dvd case he's taken it to bed twice this week

Oh and he is starting to speak, most of it total jibberish, but he points at thomas(tank engine) an says tom, and percy and says perc. numberjacks seem to be nom! He says his name as rarry[bless]

DD is being great atm. The other day she tidyed her room by herself without being asked then i asked her to tidy Harry's(just a few books on the floor) and she did that too

Sexonlegs · 01/10/2008 21:46

Hi SPB, no news yet. I am tempted to call, but I know Mum will call me as and when.

Eddas, bless your dc. All this talking going on Sounds ike G is being an angel for you.

The class is good fun; the instructor is hilariously funny which also helps and she has dc (not sure what age) so she is real iyswim.

Pesha · 01/10/2008 22:44

Lolol at being real cos she has dc! I do know what you mean though I'd love to do something like that but no one regular to leave dc with, really should get back into doing my video though.

Eddas - that was a fairly normal dream for me! Bless H taking dvd to bed, Nathan used to do that, dvds or books or cars instead of teddys!

D is still very attached to his cardigan and takes that to bed with him! Is also talking much more, let him walk back from school today and he was shouting something at me which sounded suspiciously like 'HURRY UP!', can't imagine why he would think that is the thing to shout on the school run Although him shouting 'No Mummy, no' when I tried to put him back in his cot when he woke up in the middle of the night was one of those moments when I wished he didn't talk! And he says um alot -
Me - do you want some nanas (food)
D - ummmm yeah

Or talking on the phone - Hiya...um...huh?!...um...yuy yuy (bye bye)

geordieminx · 02/10/2008 08:24

CaptainDippy · 02/10/2008 09:51

Your Ds sounds so sweet Eddas P not talking a lot yet; but sooo clever - took lipstick out of my bag yesterday and applied to all her dollies Quite accurately - I was impressed

Congratulations on the little nephew Caz - when will you get to see him!!?

Any more on your mum, SOL?

Bramshott · 02/10/2008 09:54

Ah I see Pesha - well yes, I am very keen on buttons

Great news Auntie Caz!! Sadly my brother is only 23 so it will be a while I think before I am an auntie (he's just left university).

I'm off to help with N's class going swimming this morning - they go every week and we have to are encouraged to go on a rota to help. This is my first time - argghh!

StealthPolarBear · 02/10/2008 10:04

Morning everyone
Hope SOL has heard from her mum by now and all well
Congratulations Auntie Caz
GM - thanks for your text - I really appreciate you keeping me informed. I am still confused! I'm so nosey

geordieminx · 02/10/2008 11:07

SPB - Looks like it was TWR - The one who had all the collections...

Although it did seem to be a bit of an anti-climax, and to be honest I really couldnt unerstand why there was 800+ messages about it...

IMO - If you pay your money (into "collections") then you take your chances unfortunately. There is always going to be a possibilty that the person is a scammer - especially as MN becomes better known.

sol - thinking of you

CaptainDippy · 02/10/2008 14:10

Afternoon

cazboldy · 02/10/2008 15:07

Yes Eddas it's baby boys that make me broody

Am going to see them on Monday. Was asked if I wanted to go tomorrow, but it's Caitlin and Harry's harvest festival.....

Families are funny aren't they. Dh's sister (so also new baby's auntie) rang last night and made it quite clear that she was told not to pile round to see new baby as they wanted a few days on their own to get used to things (fair enough says I) I sent a congratulatory text, and laft it at that.

BIL rings this morning, practically begging me to go round.

AIBU to feel a bit happy that SIL hasn't been asked.....

CaptainDippy · 02/10/2008 17:50

not unreasonable at all caz

busy time Luce, it will be worth it, how's S doing with the walking?

all 3 dcs in bed asleep by 7pm = heaven

dh is at work and I have a roaring fire going as I think it is freezing down 'ere, I really couldn't live any further north how do you lot cope?

We are hoping to be in Hull and Whitby at half term so will need to pack my thermals (NL will wave to you over the Moors - would love to fit in a trip to York but unlikely)

Pesha · 02/10/2008 19:30

Caz - yanbu!

Luce - nearly!! Close enough for a nice bottle glass of wine!

Had a little nap this afternoon while D slept as feeling really drained today, M has a cold and think I'm fighting it off. Anyway woke up with the thought that actually now I'm moving why don't I become a childminder after all. Did the course while pg but never sat the exam as it was about a week before my due date when I was having are they/aren't they contractions every evening and would have meant driving to somewhere around Taunton (about 45 mins away) at night with no idea where I was going and then sitting an exam whilst contracting so decided not to! But then decided, as the start up grant was no longer available, that there was just too much needed doing to my house and garden especially to get it suitable and I couldn't really afford it. But now we are moving the new house has pretty much everything sorted and with the lay out would just be much easier to childmind. It would solve my childcare nightmare and considering how hard I've found it to find someone there is obviously the need! Its never gonna make me rich but should give me enough money to get by on until they're all at school and childcare costs don't take such a big chunk of my income. Quite excited about it now! Rang the um children's people whoevertheyare to see if I need to do course all over again or not so just waiting for a call back and will take it from there.

Pesha · 02/10/2008 19:32

Hello Oooggs It is freezing isn't it?! I have a wooly jumper and a wooly cardi thing on and my heating turned up! (thats a cold face!) bbrrrrr

oooggs · 02/10/2008 19:34

Pesha - cm-ing sounds right up your street - I couldn't do it (don't like children )

we wouldn't survive in Scotland us wussy southerners

Doobydoo · 02/10/2008 19:38

Caz...YANBU
Cold here too ladies.I love this time of year..it's my fave time, this side of Christmas.
Hope all well.Still packing!x

StealthPolarBear · 02/10/2008 20:10

Hi everyone
sounds like a good idea pesha
oooggs lol at you not liking children!

Eddas · 02/10/2008 20:14

i'm sat here shivering and have just realised I only have a t-shirt on[thicko](and jeans)

Pesha, glad you have a plan! Have you been on the cm threads on here? they give good advice, seems to be loads of cm's on here

oooggs, pmsl at you not liking children

luce, moving house is horrible, fingers crossed everything goes ok for you.

Caz, yanbu, made me chuckle

hi everyone i've missed

met some lovely mners today we're meeting again on monday

right, enough of this, i'm bloody cold, off to get a cardi!

StealthPolarBear · 02/10/2008 20:15

wrap up warm young lady!!

Pesha · 02/10/2008 21:04

Lol Oooggs, I'm not mad keen on them either but if I'm being paid...

Don't want loads of kids but I figure 1 full time or 1 PT and a couple after school would be enough. DD is 8 in Nov so won't count in my numbers anymore if i did want to have lots after school or needed to in the hols but can't see it coming to that. Just been doing lots of online calculation things for tax credits etc and it looks pretty good.

Eddas - put some clothes on girl, its freezing!!!!!

PillockOfTheCommunity · 02/10/2008 21:45

Just got back from my trip oop north
Was just over half hour from Scotland, never been that far north before

oooggs - can't tell you who the lovely is on here, prying eyes mean my secret nickname for him wouldn't be so secret anymore! Not sure if I ever mentioned him on here, if I did it would have been between August and Christmas last year I think.

Caz - that's what happens when you get too close to Norfolk, dim witted Autoglass men

mj & runny - we need to make plans for the end of the month

J has an appt for an Ultrasound scan for his little problem. Yeah, like he's gonna stay still for that

J was really good for Skott while I've been away, why doesn't he do that for me???

Off to M's Harvest Festival in the morning, they do it 2 days so they catch most of the parents.

liath - when was your dh going to be on tv? has it happened yet?

Eddas - remind me to talk to you off here about your local meet ups

SPB/geordie - what have I missed???

Sexonlegs · 02/10/2008 21:48

Evening

Oooggs, absolutely pmsl at you not liking children! I am not that keen either

Pesha, wow cm'ing. Good luck; think it would be fab for you.

Eddas, get your thermals on my love. It is chilly.

Hi Dooby, when are you moving? I can't remember. Hope you are ok.

Hi SPB, how's T's rash?

Hope everyone is ok. Has MJ gone on her hols yet?

No sign of Ange or Leaky for a while. Or WO??
Where are you all???

All ok here. So so so bored at work today. I am going to have to speak to them about it, as it is getting me down. I am looking for other jobs anyway, but part time HR roles are few and far between.

No news from my Mum. My dad always calls me on Friday, so I'll find out more tomorrow. I am sure all is ok; it is just the waiting around.

Erm, brain emptied.

God, managed to break a glass today. Got the girls out of the room and cleared up and hoovered, but K must have trod on a little bit as her toe was bleeding. Poor love came and sat on my lap and lifted her foot up to show me. There were splodges of blood all over the floor. Felt so awful

Right, am knackered, so going to bed. Hope you gorgeous women are well.

We need a new thread. Where is POTC????
