Maveta you are a loon!!

Leaky - no real words of wisdom, cant imagine what you must be going through - I'm sure its the last thing you need at the moment, sending you love and hugs!

Eddas, hope the CM is perfect - I'm sure she will be, and hopefully it will be one less thing for you to worry about.

Caz - am at how much Molly can talk - C says mamma and dadda and babba and cat and thats it....

Got loads of stuff finishing on ebay just now [excited emoticon]

Evening!

Leaky - I'm so sorry about your parents, what a shock for you and your mum. Hope the sickness eases soon.

Oooggs - Hope J better soon and there is no more sickness for you.

Eddas - Glad things are looking brighter for you.

Geordie - Remember Molly has to get words in edgeways around her sibling How is Weeonion getting on in her new job?

SOL - Hope you're ok and the 'situation' at work tomorrow gets sorted.

Maveta - to having internet access back

Caz - Izzy's leg was very swolen (sp)( too tired to check spelling) after her MMR, it was very sensitive when I touched it too, sort of a hard lump. Hope it gets better soon. Bless her asking for you to kiss it better!

Bramshott - Hope your day got better!

Dippy - Hope the grey clouds stayed away for your trip to the park. about early mornings I'm soooo not a morning person!

Hello Dooby, SPB and MJ and anyone else I've missed.

Nothing exciting happening here, just been finishing off internet shopping, then packing bag ready to take Izzy swimming tomorrow...what an exiting life I lead!!

leakyR · 15/09/2008 21:14

Sorry I didn't respond to your question sooner Mav. George has only been off night feeds for a couple of weeks maybe 3. He pulls at my pyjamas if I go to him but seems to understand "No" and settles pretty quickly.

Off to bed now have slept a lot today but still feel shattered.

StealthPolarBear · 15/09/2008 21:21

Eddas, IKWYM about being all excited when things seem to be working out for you - I'm the same about that sort of thing.
oooggs, hope the vomiting stops
T has vomited a few times today and I am getting panicky about the D&V returning. OTOH I haven't told DH but I left some milk in the fridge,it was a couple of days old and I think MIL may have fed him it
Now I know that's not a good thing but it may explain the vomiting and would mean it'll be over soon??

Pesha · 15/09/2008 22:38

SPB - hope that is the cause

Leaky - very about your parents. Sorry you're feeling so ill

Oooggs - sorry you're having a yucky vomity time too

|Eddas - glad you're feeling more positive about things now. I am exactly the same with getting all excited over things like that!

GMM - have you emailed me? I don't think I have had one unless I deleted it by mistake

Maveta - yay for having internet back!!

Started a thread in children's health re N, had somme concerns and doubts re dr's response. Saw my original Dr this morning who has put him down for a GGT test which should help show if the raised ALP levels werte due to liver or bone and if the ALP levels are still raised in 4 weeks then GGT results will help give an indication of the cause. And they are also going to test N for coeliac disease at the same time, my maternal grandmother had it and N has a lot of the symptoms, in fact even the raised ALP levels could be connected. Also noted I have a lot of the symptoms, was interested to see that joint pains are a symptom as I have been to Drs many times over the years with joint pains and always ended up being told 'its just one of those things', so now I just put up with it! Am glad i went back and more things are being done.

M and N been to beach every day so far!! Having a fab time, although every time dd has rung (she has my old mobile phone) N has not wanted to talk to me it does always seem to be when he is very tired or busy though so trying not to take it too much to heart.

Have job interview on thursday! Eek! They have 3 positions available doing same job, 1 permanent full time, 2 temp part time and I can't for the life of me remember which I applied for I may have ticked the box that said I don't mind, I know I did on 1 job application but can't remember if it was this one or not!! Hey ho, I guess I'll find out at some point!

NorthernLurker · 15/09/2008 22:59

Hello all

Just popping in to say hi. I'm very busy learning a ton of stuff at work and being nasty to my children! I'll catch up properly tomorrow I hope but skimmed through:
Leaky - just wanted to say what shocking news for you. I really don't know where you go with that one but am thinking of you.

Pesha - hope you get some positive news soon. N is a very lucky young man to have you backing him up!

Love to all

geordieminx · 16/09/2008 07:33

Pesha - Feck no, I havent. Honestly I have ahead full of cotton wool these days.

hi everyone
T has more d&v
Pesha will go & look for your thread, won't be able to help but glad N is getting tested
hi NL and gm

Bramshott · 16/09/2008 09:57

My day did get better yesterday thanks - I hoovered, then talked to a lady on the phone about making a will, then attacked a neglected corner of the garden and pulled out a load of stingers and old raspberry canes (although it would have been better if I'd had long sleeves on!). I always feel so much better if I have achieved something!

Caz - hope M is feeling better. Her speech sounds very good if she can say "oww leg kiss better mummy"! O's longest sentence so far has been "get out!" (of the buggy!).

Leaky - really at you parents - your poor mum! On the upside, at least she knows now and can start to rebuild her life.

Eddas - fingers crossed and crossed again for the childminder! I know exactly what you mean - I have a childminder here in our very small village, having NEVER thought anyone would be childminding here (they are mostly over 60!) and she is so lovely. I was practically ready to go round and batter her door down once I knew she was a childminder (scary? me?!). It is so, so fab being able to walk there, and very easy that the kids are so close to home.

StealthPolarBear · 16/09/2008 10:02

Hi Bramshott
I thought I was alone today

Bramshott · 16/09/2008 10:35

You're not alone SPB! How's poor little T doing? Have you had to take the day off work?

StealthPolarBear · 16/09/2008 10:37

He seems pretty bad, has had D 3 times today so far.
Well enough in himself though, thanks.
Yes, am off work

Bramshott · 16/09/2008 10:39

Poor you (both!). You can at least console yourself with the fact that D is a little easier to deal with when they are still in nappies!

StealthPolarBear · 16/09/2008 10:43

II'm starting to worry that it's something I'm doing or not doing Maybe he doesn't have it that often but it feels like a lot

Bramshott · 16/09/2008 10:45

Is he at nursery (sorry, I can't remember). When they are at nursery, they get A LOT of bugs! On the up-side, then by the time they get a bit older, they have a great immunity.

PillockOfTheCommunity · 16/09/2008 11:00

Hi all

Bramshott is right, they get everything in the early years at Nursery. Having said that, M was fine once we'd taken the dairy out of his diet, and has only ever had a D&V bug once (even better, he was at daddy's house at the time )

J seemed to get everything going but it is easing off, he's been at Nursery for 14mths now though. M just carries the germs home and gives them to me

CaptainDippy · 16/09/2008 11:22

Hello! sorting out crisis at work , but still here!

StealthPolarBear · 16/09/2008 11:25

Hi Pillock and Dippy
I hope so - am a bit worried about him being ill so much, he doesn't have much weight to lose
Hope you get your crisi sorted Dippy

cazboldy · 16/09/2008 11:38

Hello all

it was the puppy's turn for injections today!

Just to clarify - Molly is not a wonder child but does put words together a lot.....

She said "oww leg" "kiss mummy", she also says things like "get out" (of the car) "no harry" "where fizz" (thats the other dog)

she is quite a chatterbox (wonder who she takes after?

I think ( from experience) that girls talk a lot more than boys anyway..... certainly my girls have said far more, more quickly than the boys have

Oooggs poor old you

Maveta - you sound very excited!

NL - horrible to your children?????? I have been a bit like that lately......

Hey to Ange, Bramshott, GM, POTC, SOL and anyone else xx

cazboldy · 16/09/2008 11:40

oh and SPB hope T feels better soon xx

and Good Luck with the crisis Dippy!

StealthPolarBear · 16/09/2008 11:41

wow to M's talking caz!
T says loads and speaks in full sentences...they're just not english! Not his fault we don't understand

Bramshott · 16/09/2008 11:46

O does that a lot too! "Jubba-jubba-jubba-jubba-joo-wah!"

Actually thinking about it Katy, you are still bf T aren't you? That should give him good immunity to yukky nursery bugs, so it may be that you do want to try to press for more investigation? Or try an elimination diet (cutting out one thing at a time) for a while?

Sexonlegs · 16/09/2008 11:49

Hi. Popping in whilst at work.

Bugger to the d&v SPB. When I dropped K off at nursery there was a note saying that gastro-enteritis is doing the rounds in the Baby Unit. I nearly took her home there and then! Hope T is better soon.

Bramshott, sounds like you had a very productive day!

Dippy, what's the crisis?

Hope everyone else is ok. Need to run as have a meeting. xx

cazboldy · 16/09/2008 11:51

PMSL SPB - do you know what language it is

StealthPolarBear · 16/09/2008 11:51

T went through a phase of gobty-gobty-GAH!
Now he sounds exactly like he's talking, just in another language The other day both of us heard him say "I love you yeah!" (Beatles fan, obviously)

TBH Bramshott I don;t think BF protects against D&V, I think it means they're less likely to be hospitalised because of it (presumably because it's easier to get fluids in??). I will check though in case I'm wrong. Also, the last time he was ill with it was April...I am a bit of a drama queen, I just feel sorry for myself quite often.
