Just thought I'd better set up another thread as the old one is just about to run out.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Minkus · 25/09/2008 11:17

ahhh jodie well done little sam! the first tooth of the thread!

must dash party preps in full swing dh and assorted men putting up marquee (well, a big posh gazebo with sides) and i'm flapping about panicking like any good mum would

sweetkitty · 25/09/2008 12:03

Supernanny - can she come over here please? Went to pick up DD1 today, DD2 starts playing with the toys never wants to leave, cue a massive tantrum, refusing to move anywhere which is difficult when I'm holding B in her car seat, some lovely woman carried B out to the car so I could bodily drag DD2 who was sscreaming at the top of her voice cue everyone looking at me finally gets her in her car seat and she screams all teh way home then her and DD1 are fighting oh the joys. Anyway sorry to go on.

minkus - good luck we had DD1 and 2's christening in the house last year well the aftre bit of it, it was very stressful. Hope everything goes well for you

pigley - oh enjoy being spoiled

Jodie - aww first tooth

minipink - oh I think it's a teenage thing nothing to do with the parents I'm sure, I used to sneakily drink at that age too, B kind of half rolls over then gets stuck face down and starts crying

libralady - it's hard isn't it, it's all abour boundaries and pushing yours, asserting their independence and as you say attnetion seeking doesn't make it any easier though.

Right little madam has awoken off to feed her x

wobblingweeble · 25/09/2008 15:38

Hi All,

JODIE - a tooth which one? Some babies are born with teeth.

SK - poor you - you are having a rough time of it with the DC (I shall remind you next time you get broody again) Pap them onto your DH this weekend and go have a day out with some friends or even on your tod - a wander, lunch, a massage, hairdo or facial? Princes Square for ravioli in a butter and pine nut dressing, a glass of red and people watching (devine emoticon).

Missed Supernanny last night - was busliy washing florrs and doing housework.

MINIPINK - children! If my 2 are anything at all like I was as a teenager I am in for a really rough time I moved in with a nutter and all his mad family, dropped out of uni, shaved all my hair off and never got in touch It is par for the course to make your own way and not consider anyone elses feelings - it is a fact that something happens to a teenager's brain and they aren't as able to empathise or consider other peoples emotions due to the hormones floating about the brain.
How many more of yours have yet to reach teenagedom?

Seems like we are all away to visit parent's at the mo'. We are going to mine next Friday for a couple of weeks respite.

What are you getting all the DC for Christmas? I would like to get Calvin one of those ride on rocky animals.

Have any of you checked out www.barefoot.books.co.uk

They ahve some lovely things - my DD adores books, hoping C will too.

MINKUS - hope all goes well - did you decide on NotGodparent's name yet?

Well must be off to bath DD and have early dinner as bellydacning tonight. My exercise bike should be up and running by tonight too thank goodness as really need to increase exercise to lose more weight.

C was up a lot last night - he likes a chat about 4ish now so am pretty tired but hopefully he will sleep well tonight now fingers x.

Take care

disneystar · 25/09/2008 16:05

hi all
hope you guys are ok and the babies
oh and looks like teeth here we come
how cute the first tooth
one of my ds had his tooth by 9 weeks and 11 weeks
sams had his injections today and was not happy baby well hes slept all day since
bumbos are supposed to be from 3mths and over and when completely supports own head

mini im sure youve done nothin wrong i have a nearly 17 yr old and he has his first moped and is a total idiot on it
the thing is he bought it and maintains it as he works but hes actin suspicious lately as hes always out and i deff smell a rat so keeping my eyes open there

im so in a fed up mood today everythin g is going wrong my 17 yr old has gone awol
sams moany, and charlie 7 has been punsished all day by teacher no play all day had to stand by the wall for forgetting a book
he was crying all lunchtime plus teacher shouts loud at him
we dont shout here i dont shout at them whats the point i can get over by the tone of my voice without raising it so naturally hes upset
im naturally a peacemaker but this guy is riling me up and didnt want to speak to him as my boys would have seen a different side to mummy today

bebejones · 25/09/2008 16:12

Thanks for all the support you guys means alot!! Am off to my mums holiday house with her for a few days so leaving DH all alone. Think he is gonna miss Phoebe something rotton but probably won't be that disapointed to see the back of me if I'm honest!! Don't think we have spoken a civil word to each other in 4 weeks, and it's mostly my fault, but I just can't help myself and bless him all his little 'quirks' are just rubbing me up the wrong way at the moment!! Feeling very low today re breastfeeding. Just sometimes feel like it's the only thing that only I can do for her and giving it up is going to be such a complete wrench despite how hard it has been. It is almost addictive... I just keep thinking 'one more week'. Anyone can give her bottle but breastfeeding her is the one thing that no one else can do and it is such a comfort for her that I feel almost cruel taking that away...does that make sense?!?! I know I shouldn't beat myself up about it but I can't help but be totally irrational!! Am going to blame the hormones!!!

On a positive note had a great time out shopping...even though I had no money! My friend bout P a really cute all in one suit from baby Gap that has ears and paw prints on the feet!!! Got myself some Fennel tea as is supposed to have milk boosting properties, and is actually not that bad and nowhere near as disgusting as the dreaded Raspberry Leaf!!!!

isaidno · 25/09/2008 17:27

jodie - wow - a tooth!
bebe - glad to hear you're sticking with the bf as much as poss - try and get some rest at your mum's. Eating oats is supposed to be good for milk supply too, so porridge for brekkie and flapjacks later!

Got Poppy weighed today, she is 12lb 4oz at 14 weeks and getting strong. She can shuffle round on her back, but her head stays in the same place so she goes round in circles.

minkus - hope your party goes ok

ww - I've got Poppy this for Christmas - it arrived today. She doesn't really need anything but the ds will think she's been naughty if Santa doesn't leave anything!

sweetkitty · 25/09/2008 18:17

isaidno - aww Poppy sound adorable spinning round but her head staying in the one place, they get so frustrated as well don't they? I don't know what to get B for Christmas as you say they don't need anything but you have to get them something from "Santa" don't know what to put in her stocking either.

bebe - glad you are sticking with BFing right now. Anyone can give her a bottle but even if you are gving her a bottle she will know it's her Mummy and you will still have that very special bond. Your right though with the just one more week, even just one more day is the way to think of it too. The guilt starts before they are born and never stops.

disney - sorry you are having an off day too hope Sams feeling better soon after his jabs

weeble - thanks sometimes I feel all I do is moan and whinge on here, I knew it wouldn't be easy, I have a 4yo, a nearly 3yo and a baby, no family help and a DP who works long hours, no wonder I struggle at times. We have a wedding to go to this weekend, it's DP's work friend who I have never met and won't know anyone but as DP says who cares, SIL is coming up to babysit for a few hours to let us go, we can get dressed up and have a few hours without the DC, sounds terrible but only the second time this year DP and I will have been out alone.

I am wearing the dress I wore to the DDs christening (size 8!) although it's a lot tighter around the boob area these days. Was thinking I'll start the day a C cup and end up an E cup as my boobs fill up, I am taking my pump though to relieve them if they get too bad, oh the joys!

minipinkscottish · 26/09/2008 10:04

SK - so - size 8.....that size is a distant memory for me...think I was 25 last time I was that size....now resigned myself to the fact that i will no less than 12 ever again Good for you though - well done!!

Momma23 · 26/09/2008 11:29

Hi ladies
Changed my name from minnie1 to momma23

L is doing great, full of life and a little gem. My other DDs however make up for it... I have one DD that is going through the terrible 2s, and one with a sore leg!! My god there hard work!!

Jodie a tooth already wow..

SK Size 8 well done.. Bet there was no gym work out for you. Your 3 very own little personal trainers.. How is the potty training going for your DD2?? DD1 here is doing good but still havin accidents but worst part is over..

Managed relations twice last night!!! I thought that would never happen ever ever again!!

EEC · 26/09/2008 11:37

Hello all - been gone for a while - just too busy. Will have a catch up while R is asleep but hope everyone's doing well. I've missed you all...

sweetkitty · 26/09/2008 12:32

momma23/minnie - all these name changes I can't keep up. Am and twice last night, we still haven't got back in the swing after B was born OMG she is 10 weeks old that shocking isn't it? I sympathise with you in ther terrible 2's I think all DD2 does all day is scream and cry. Potty training is going well the odd accidents but as you say the worst is over.

Yes I have done nothing to lose weight, I know I know I was a size 12 before DC, I just don't think about food that much now and as you know you are constantly on the go. Thankfully I lost all the pregnancy weight quickly couldn't have afforded a new wardrobe.

JODIEhadababy · 26/09/2008 14:11

Morning all,

Just got back from dentist, teeth all intact, just a filling atm, but harmless enough, don't know why was so scared after 2 (drug free) labours!!!

SK wow, size 8, I wish I wish I wish.... Sympathies on the tantrums, DS1 is only just 2 so I've got ages left with them yet I keep meaning to 'say' to you that every time I watch 'Nina and The Neurons' it remnds me of you, maybe it's coz she's a scottish scientist in a lab coat????

Can't quite believe Sam is 12 weeks today, where does time go? we had to give him a small dose of calpol last night as his teeth were giving him some serious bother, poor little mite He's just knawing at his hand today so I think the second one's not too far off, Oliver got his first at 12 weeks and the second within a couple of days, then nothing for ages!

isaidno · 26/09/2008 14:33

Poppy is just feeding and sleping today - must be growing some more. I feel all glam cos I had my hair done this morning (2ds at school and preschool) Poppy was an angel and slept through the whole cut and blowdry.
Going to my mum's for weekend - we've been invited to a 40th bday party. Will be good to get out.

Hope y'all have a nice weekend

(pmsl at SK as Nina with her 3dd as little neurons)

sweetkitty · 26/09/2008 15:15

Nina and the Neurons

Haven't worn a white lab coat for many a year now, been replaced by the Mummy uniform of jeans that are rarely clean due to little fingers wrapping themselves around my legs, t-shirt complete with designer puke stains over left shoulder, hair tied back as B keeps grabbing it, no make up and eyesbags the size of suitcases.

Actually it's not that bad I do have red toenails been getting ready for wedding tomorrow, DD2 also has red toenails, DD1 chose pink, they both had to have some make up on as well and they don't do the subtle look so both look erm a bit prozzie like, will have to wipe them before DP gets home he will freak.

isaidno - funny how a haircut always makes us feel better

EEC · 26/09/2008 17:26

Haven't had my hair cut for 5 months and it looks awful! I know I would feel a whole lot better if I got it cut, but how do you manage to find the time?

JODIEhadababy · 26/09/2008 19:53

EEC - can't you go when your older DC's are at school? Would do you the world of good!!

True to form, Sam cut tooth number 2 this afternoon! bless him.... He's dribbling like a trooper, but all tucked up in bed, just where I like 'em!

cass66 · 26/09/2008 20:28

Hi girls. having my hair cut tomorrow after 4 months. going out tomorrow eve to a friends 40th party, quite looking forward to it, I have an old black dress to squeeze into. magic pants time, methinks.

otherwise, all is calm. girls behaving and settled at school. Ed growing and smiling, grumpy during the day but OK at night, in his own room in his cot now, which helps. even slept through the night on weds, but he had had 2oz of formula (reluctantly), 'cos I went out to bellydancing. (very rusty, rumpel, but improving. pulls on my scar at times).

feel like I'm emerging from a tunnel or fog which was the last 2 months. Cass.

JODIEhadababy · 26/09/2008 20:30

Hi Cass, funny you should menion the 'tummel of fog' I've been feeling like that over the past few days, you've described it so well. Finally feel like life's back on track.

sweetkitty · 26/09/2008 20:52

EEC - I had had mine cut for 6 months I told DP I was getting it cut and left all 3 with him and just went

JODIEhadababy · 27/09/2008 07:18

OH, look at the time and Sam still not up!!!! Woooohooooo (am up with DS1, this is the main reason I'm so of you first timers!!!!)

minipinkscottish · 27/09/2008 09:58

Morning xx

Went out for dinner with my mum last night and took Abbie with me. She was a complete charmer all evening ...babbling and smiling...she didn't sleep at all. When I got home she had a big feed and went down awake at 9pm and she woke with a smile on her face at 7.30am I can't believe my luck with this baby....she's sooooooooo scrummy

minipinkscottish · 27/09/2008 10:06

I've put a couple more pics on profile...2 with me in them

pigleychez · 27/09/2008 18:59

Hello all

Im back from a few days away at my parents.
Was very nice and got my hair cut and coloured. Feels so nice to be human again! Hasnt been cut since my wedding last June so it was really really long and my highlights were round by my ears!
It was great to spend time with my family but also great to be back home with DH. DH is really good and helpful so i really noticed the difference without him.
Also great spend time with my sister and her baby Tiffany whos 4mths now.

I tried Abigail in my sisters Bumbo and although shes abit tiddy for it now (9 weeks) she seemed to like it so bought one whilst at the shops today. I got a red one as DH and I have agreed we want to have another one soonish and Red would suit either sex. -Cant beleive ive agreed to have another!! ( but not just yet!)

Minipink- Glad your enjoing Abbie lovely pics too.

SK- Hope you enjoyed the wedding

Isaidno- Enjoy your party.

Momma23- [shocked] at relations! Twice!
We still havent ventured that far yet.

Hope everyone is ok and enjoying the sunny weather (if you getting it like we are!)

JODIEhadababy · 27/09/2008 20:02

Hi,

Glad you had a lovely time away Pigley, I can't wait to see my mum and dad, we fly out on 6th Oct, I'm getting my hair done there too, so excited!! Pigley, you do realise that you'll have to start having relations if you are to have another baby don't you??? (I'd put money on you being the first one from this thread to get pregnant again) I bet DH was so pleased to see you and Abigail again, I bet he missed you loads!

SK, Hope you are enjoying your night out.

Minkus Hope your day went smoothly, you had amazing weather too, I bet your shattered!

Had lovely day today, weather certainly helps, DS1 has so much energy it's lovely to let him run about outside.

Hope everyone else is OK and enjoying the last days of 'summer'

JODIEhadababy · 27/09/2008 20:03
