AngeG · 08/09/2008 18:21

Sounds like you've done plenty MJ

Hope you've woken up a bit Runny.

Why is it that whenever I want to get hold of DH, he never answers his B&&&dy phone and then he expects me to make him dinner even though I have no idea what time he'll be home!!!!

Back later xx

AngeG · 08/09/2008 18:23

Arse at no money. I'm sorry I did laugh at you getting lost! Glad James is enjoying secondary school!

CaptainDippy · 08/09/2008 18:50

Wow to half way!!!!!!!!Elkie
Back to home ed here.Feels better already.
Rain...but ok now in Sept

runnyhabbit · 08/09/2008 19:52

Feeling very refreshed Had a lovely walk earlier, and ended up at the park.
Was fine until we walked home, and I let W have a wander on his own (on the footpath over the common) J decided to hold his hand, W was having none of it. Both of them ended in a heap on the gravel, with J on top of W. Lots of blood from W mouth, and J has 2 lovely bruises on his face

ange I've long gone past the point of finding out when dh is coming home for tea. He knows that unless he tells me his eta, then dinner will be ready at the time he walks through the door

caz pita about money

dippy glad to be of help and enjoy your night out x

dooby kwym about rain now - I can kind of excuse seeing as its Sept

lexilex · 08/09/2008 20:35

hiya, glad first days at school have been going well, only one more week to go for me.

runny - glad your walk was good, lol at los in a heap, that is a regular occurence in my house.

anyway my mate didnt have baby last night it was just a wee infection which can bring on contractions, but we never know with her because she has had 2 prem, silent labours so any kind of twinge she straight to the hospital. but it was so nice not to have to put my kids to bed or get up to them so im feeling better.
how can it be though when i still put kids to bed and got up to kids, just not my 2???

things are okish with dp, were talking but im still unsure about how i feel bout things, so im just taking it very slowly. xxx

oooggs · 08/09/2008 20:45

great photos ange & ellie

1st day school photos now on profile

we managed it this morning they washing was also out, beds made, house tidied and I had a shower and dried my hair I was up at 6.45am so I don't think that was bad - I'm knackered though - did a lot of walking today to get errands done and it was also the first evening back at Rainbows

runnyhabbit · 08/09/2008 20:51

oooggs - your photos are lovely. James looks gorgeous

(btw, your kitchen is very nice too....I now have cooker envy)

oooggs · 08/09/2008 20:53

ahhh the kitchen, that is new lino but we DH are also in the process of changing the work tops, tiles, paint colour & sink with taps - loads of hard work

Sexonlegs · 08/09/2008 21:03

Evening all

Lovely photos of lo's in school uniform! Really glad first days seem to have gone so smoothly.

Oooggs, your kitchen is divine And 6.45 is good going. I get up at that time too with just the 2 of them to sort.

Lexi, glad things are a bit better with you and dp. Take care. xx

Eddas, v jealous of your trip to Socceraid. I hate football normally, but I really enjoyed the match last night.

Dooby, so back to home ed then? What a shame. I assume that is because of what happened last week?

Dippy, sorry you are still feeling rotten. Surely they can get to the bottom of it and diagnose.

Elkie, wow to half way through!! How is the sickness? Have you had a scan I can't remember? Are you gong to find out the sex?

Runny, your poor boys Hope the cuts and bruises are better soon.

MJ, you domestic goddess !

SPB, how are you doing?

Hope everyone else is ok.

Knackered here. K has developed a sodding cough and last night was coughing on and off from Midnight. It didn't seem to bother her too much but I was awake loads. Hence knackered today. Have tried to give her Medised but she just dribbles it out of her mouth. So, I expect we are in for a crap night again She is on good form though; v cheeky and v amusing

Pisha · 08/09/2008 21:07

Just popping in quickly.

Fab pics everyone, glad all first days at school seem to be going well

Still packing like a mad person. Biggest problem is we are meant to be moving on a friday which means all strong people I know except J are working so would just be me and him trying to move about a million boxes, beds, sofa, wash machine, fridge freezer etc etc. Would have to now hire a van too as friends with vans/lorrys will be using them for work. However J's parents have said as we are going to have pay about £150 for a big van we might as well hire a removal company for about £300 and they will help with the cost I love the idea of not having to do all the shifting and lifting myself! Now just need to get the date confirmed so I can actually book someone

Nightmare with N at bedtime. Maia has this bed, note the ladder on the side, well somehow Nathan managed to get both his legs down behind the top bar!! No amount of pulling or twisting could get him out as the bed comes out above so was hitting his thighs and he couldn't twist enough cos of his feet! Poor little boy was just hanging on to the side with his mean old mother alternating between getting cross with him and laughing at him!! In the end I managed to unscrew the top bar and get him out but had visions of having to go and call the fire brigade, and if I'd had to do that he would have to hang on even longer as I would have had to go and touch up my make up first!

Anywya best get back to searching removals and packing

Sorry for lack of personals, I will try harder!

Pesha · 08/09/2008 22:00

Isn't it scary how mumsnet just sucks you in and before you in and before you know it an hour has passed and you've done nothing

Anyway have just stuck a pic of D at ham hill on Saturday on my profile. When I find my camera wire I may put a couple more on. Just sent a load of videos from my phone to laptop via bluetooth so going to put them on facebook now, the packing can wait for 1 night!!

elkiedee · 08/09/2008 22:39

I have a scan next Monday (21 weeks). But I already know we're expecting another boy because you can find out through the CVS I had when my blood tests bumped up my already high age risk.

Good luck with the removal Pesha.

Doobydoo · 08/09/2008 23:19

I am such a ray of sunshine.xx

CaptainDippy · 09/09/2008 07:28

Morning Woke up feeling a bit sick and weird; but feeling a bit better now I'm up. Everyone else still asleep Lovely meal out last , but as a dad from pre-school died yesterday, he had cancer, only had DX in June Trying to think what to write in a card.

OP posts:
CaptainDippy · 09/09/2008 07:30

So about your grandad, Dooby. Wehn do you think you'll go to see him? My granny has got something seriously wrong with her heart and as she is 90, there'a not a lot they can do My mum and gran are down this week, that brings challenges of it's own, but it is nice to see them all the same

OP posts:
StealthPolarBear · 09/09/2008 08:17

Such sad news
Dooby, so sorry to hear about your Grandad, hope he is more communicative in person
CD - how tragic. How well did you know him/the family?

Doobydoo · 09/09/2008 08:55

SoCD..Very hard to know what to put in a card isn't it?
I am sure you will find the words and the thought means so much.
Hope all have a good day.

Eddas · 09/09/2008 09:10

bloody horrible disease there's not much you can right in the card i don't think cd, unless you knew them well. I know when i've had to right them that nothing seems right.

oh crap preschool at 9.30 and none of us are dressed best shift............

runnyhabbit · 09/09/2008 09:43

Morning all.

W much better today, so have packed them both of to nursery. J proudly showed off his bruises to dh last night and then told him that he had chocolate to make him better
I, otoh, am feeling rubbish. I am so fed up with feeling lethargic all the time. I have no energy, everything feels like such an effort, and I'm starting to take it out on dh. Just feels like I'm going through the motions. And scarily reminds me of when I had PND. So haven't gone into work today and managed to get an appt with GP for 11am today.

elkiedee · 09/09/2008 10:11

Sorry to hear about your grandad Dooby.

CD, I'm sure that whatever you put will be appreciated. That's so sad for his family.

CaptainDippy · 09/09/2008 10:31

I can sympathise.

No, I didn't know the family all that well; but chatted to the mum a few times outside pre-school, she is such a quiet and gentle lady and their little girl is a sweetie and will be going to school with my DD1. I've written a few line in the card and given my mobile no. I'll pop it through their door later on.

OP posts:
oooggs · 09/09/2008 12:31
