oooggs · 21/08/2008 17:00

CaptainDippy · 21/08/2008 17:06

Still a whopper Eddas! Hope DH was home on time and you got some space

StealthPolarBear · 21/08/2008 17:27

t just fell down stairs
stupipd idiot i left the gate open as was dusting banisters, didn'ty seem the same iyswim
tumbled and i caught him about half way down. cried but not his scary high pitched shriek. am feeding him now. don't think hes hurt kjust shocked. A&E or not?

StealthPolarBear · 21/08/2008 17:45

STARTED thread in health
consensus is to keep an eye!
im so stupid
phew

AngeG · 21/08/2008 17:46

Oh no how scary SPB I think if he's ok and no major crying he should be ok. Izzy has fallen down the stairs twice now, cried a bit but as soo as I gave her a cuddle she settled. How is he now?

StealthPolarBear · 21/08/2008 17:49

asleep - but he has been exhausted and i thought he'd sleep an hour ago
when i stop feeding he does his usual exaspertated wail, no shrieks of pain
obv hate the thought its happened to i, but glad im not alone!

StealthPolarBear · 21/08/2008 17:49

when im upstairs i have the top gate shut, when downstairs, the bottom one...no experience of being in between for periods of time!!

AngeG · 21/08/2008 17:51

sorry x posts I agree with the consensus keep an eye on him. You're not stupid at all. We've all done similar things. xx

Lexi - Sorry things are still bad with D. Please don't feel bad about ranting on here. You are not a b%%%%.

Eddas - Hope you're ok. Hope you've had a good time shopping! Wow at 10lbs 4oz a big baby!

MJ - Hope you had fun at the party!

I've forgotten what it's like to wee without an audience.

Izzy is currently climbing on my lap trying to push laptop off and saying M M (to us milk!) Bless her!

StealthPolarBear · 21/08/2008 17:53

ahh thats lovely
think he wont sleep, wish i had choc buttons for him

AngeG · 21/08/2008 17:54

Bless you SPB don't feel bad. We don't have a gate upstairs or downstairs only one on the kitchen. Izzy is normally very good at turning round and coming down backwards, but has just started sitting down at the top and 'bumping' down on her bottom. I preferred it when she came down backwards!

I'm sure T will be fine.

AngeG · 21/08/2008 17:55

choc buttons cure all problems!

StealthPolarBear · 21/08/2008 17:58

I had some emergency (i.e. so sneaky I'd forgotten about it) choc, bit of that and a sock on my head and I got a smile out of him

AngeG · 21/08/2008 18:00

That's good! I'm developing a really bad headache...think I must be due on Just taken two nurofen hoping it will go off!

StealthPolarBear · 21/08/2008 18:02

hope it goes soon

Doobydoo · 21/08/2008 18:44

SPB,Hope you and T are ok????
AngeGheadache.Hope it goes soon.
Am off to check life assurance quotes now. What a giddy whirl of pleasure my life is

elkiedee · 21/08/2008 19:17

Sorry to hear about T's accident, but from reading your thread he sounds none the worse for it. Our stairgate's actually above the main staircase, as we couldn't see a way to secure the stairs with it. There's 2 steps down to the bathroom and then the main stairs. But it means I can get dressed in the bedroom and not panic if he wanders on to the landing.

Eddas · 21/08/2008 19:24

spb, glad he's ok, must've been scary

ange, boo to headache

I haven't actually had a call re step sil, so i'm assuming all is ok. MIL probbly visting her atm, so maybe we'll get a call later And Yes 10lbs 4 is big enough dh tol everyone that dd was 8lbs 14 when she was born. I received lots of 'that's big' texts and was as she was 7lbs 14 bless, he was very very tired as it was very long!

I did get out have nice new bedding and a new paddling pool. Not sure it'll get much use, maybe save it for next 'summer' lol

Right, must be off to do some work..........

actually, i need a drink and some chocolate first

StealthPolarBear · 21/08/2008 19:34

hi everyone
#T stinky and should be tired by now (one hour sleep all day!) so off to destinky and feed. Back soon

PillockOfTheCommunity · 21/08/2008 19:41

stinky is good SPB, back to normal after scaring you silly

the points system goes a bit like this

piddle = 10
poo = 5
etc etc

when we reach 100 points (and some words have a value of 50!) then the page filters block it

so we can swear, but not too much

am going to reset to 50posts per page and see if I can open the old thread tomorrow.

Works with email too, putting kisses on bottom gets a points score (triple x sort of thing) so if you reply with message history, you can very quickly get to 100 points and the email is blocked!

Evening all

Lexi, hope you are ok. What a difficult situation. Please keep coming on and ranting.xx

SPB, hope T is ok after his tumble.

Eddas, hope you are enjoying quiet time! I know exactly how you feel. I wish there was an off button!

Ange, glad to hear Izzy is being a cheeky monkey!

Dooby, did it stop raining??

POTC, how is the man situation??

Erm..... Brain emptied again.

Last day at work today until Monday 1st September!!!! Was mega busy.

K has a runny bum - yuk yuk yuk! It has been doing the rounds in the baby unit for weeks, and I kind of thought we had escaped it. She isn't bad, but totally off her food. Luckily dh has been off all week so he had the joy of both of them!

Right, need to sort dinner, so back later.

Sorry for not mentioning loads of you - I am just shattered. Have a mile high pile of ironing to do as well

PillockOfTheCommunity · 21/08/2008 19:46

which man?

OP posts:
PillockOfTheCommunity · 21/08/2008 19:59

James at work came up with an excellent suggestion today - h ethinks I should give my many men a numbering system, kinda like in prisons , so no one gets confused as to which one I'm talking about

OP posts:
oooggs · 21/08/2008 20:08

good idea ellie - I don't know where you find the energy

katy - hope T is ok, its not stupid (says oooggs whose ds2 fell the full flight onto the hard floor)

eddas - both the boys were 7lb 14oz and it felt huge to me

Ange - hope head is clearing

dooby - like assurance - my don't you lead an exciting life

oooggs · 21/08/2008 20:16

can anyone help me with this please?
