Evening all.

Dippy, hope P is ok and you get a quiet evening. You sound so incredibly down. Is there anything I/we can do? I really feel for you xx

Runny, glad the appointment with the speech therapist went well. Have been thinking about you. And of course we must meet when I am in Welsh Wales. I will pull my finger out and send you and MJ a message on FB.

SPB, hope T settles again for you.

GM, I take it there has been a spot or 2 of light rain in Glasgow???? Saw your FB note!!

Hi NL, still on cloud 9 re the new job??

Erm.... Brain mush.

All ok here. B and K on good form. K is so so funny and entertaining atm - she has really developed a cheeky personality bles her.

Still feel pants. So much so that I have not had any wine since last Thursday

Right, need to dish out dinner. Back later.

Hope you are all well. xx

Sexonlegs · 14/08/2008 20:03

x-post MJ. Hope F is ok.

K just sang loudly when I put her down - for about half an hour

mammyjo · 14/08/2008 20:05

She is fine, just being a little bugger I think! Stroppy mare as she is!

oooggs · 14/08/2008 21:23

runny - glad apt went well

mj - woo hoo to girly weekend

dippy - any better?

sol - you need some TLC

NL - where does she get her temper from?

katy - have you settled T again?

PillockOfTheCommunity · 14/08/2008 21:50

You're up late Oooggs !

How are you feeling?

K sounds like she sings twinkle twinkle little star - nursery commented on it the other day [proud mummy]!

Don't know what I need really. A few long lie ins would be nice. Not long till our lovely holiday in Wales, so hopefully dh will take pity on me and give me a break.

Right, must finish my cuppa and flake and then off to bed. I slept like a log last night with dh back home!!

Sweet dreams lovely ladies. xx

mammyjo · 14/08/2008 22:01

Off to bed soon too as I am really tired.

Just me and F now as the guys have gone off on their fishing expedition.
Will be nice to have this sort of girl's weekend time when she is bigger so that we can do proper girly things!! Knowing my luck she will be the biggest tom boy ever, and not even remotely interested in all things pink and sparkly

Pisha · 14/08/2008 22:15

RH - Glad appt went well and echo what MJ said about your worries being perfectly understandable given the circumstances but agree that unlikely you would have to wait so long if they thought it were anything that serious.

Dippy - glad your health is improving. Sorry about dh problems , we're all here for you if you need to talk.

Oooggs - hope you had a nice rest today and took things easy.

Elkie - glad D is ok

MJ - Yay for girly weekend! Very , not that I dont love my boys but, you know, they're boys!!

Eddas - D eats most fruit, loves walking arounsd the house with a whole apple, chewing it up to get the juice then spitting little chewed up bits all over the floor and hiding the rest of the apple under the sofa/table/cushion/pushchair to pick up and eat the rest of later Maia used to do exactly the same but at least now I have a dog to come in and clean up after him!!
Re childcare - I have no family that can help really, my mum is a teacher so has school holidays but TBH I'm lucky if she has them for just 1 day in the school hols and even then thats never all of them. All the rest of family work so thats not an option and no holiday club things here or nurserys that take older dcs so my only option is a childminder. Which has a lot to do with me training to be a teaching assistant so I have the same hols as them and don't need to worry. It also played a big part in me not taking the job I was offered earlier in the year.

Went to Clarks village today and got D his first proper shoes! Hes size 4G. Also got M and N some new school shoes while we were there, ended up spending over an hour in Clarks with measuring and fitting and Maia being unbelivably fussy and Dylan trying to escape out the door at every opportunity! Then got absolutely soaked and had to drive through massive floods on way home. Not a fun day. But D is very cute in his new shoes!

Phone rang in middle of writing this so apologies for any x posts if there are any!

Just looking on Facebook and one of my friends has joined a group for mums and mums to be in Yeovil. Was looking through the members to see if it was worth joimimg or not and 1 person came up as having 1 mutual friend with me. Clicked on it to see who it was expecting it to be someone else from Yeovil and it was Runny!!! Who'd have thought?!

Pisha · 14/08/2008 22:29

OMG! Theres another one whos friends with Sofa Boy!!

mammyjo · 14/08/2008 22:31

Oopps no, scrap that, different Simon, forgot I had 2 simons

PillockOfTheCommunity · 14/08/2008 22:32

Ah, actually, he did just random click on the 'people you might know' section and add pretty much everyone. Some of them were daft enough to add him even though they had no idea who he was, so that might explain it

I've just had an extra payment from tax credits and my basic ctc payment is £130 instead of the £115 I normally get so guessing they've been underpaying and this is back pay?!

I really need a new mattress, waking up with back and neck ache through the night and so achey in mornings. So do you think this is a good deal??

Pisha · 14/08/2008 23:05

Sorry the connection there was that with the back pay I can now afford a new mattress rather than the 20odd year old one I have atm!

Someone tell me if thats as good as it seems or not cos if it is I want to order it asap before they sell out!!

PillockOfTheCommunity · 14/08/2008 23:13

I'd think you could probably get a better deal at an independent store

OP posts:
AngeG · 14/08/2008 23:17

Hello everyone I'm back

Have tried to skim read but have not retained. Have been thinking of you all though.

I've missed you all loads

Won't be able to get rid of me now.

Night if anyone is still around. xx

Pisha · 14/08/2008 23:37

Hi Ange

POTC - we don't have one! We have bensons but I was there for their clearance thing and missed all the good deals New store sale prices are all much more than this for similar quality mattresses. Have had a bit of a search and can't really see any others of similar quality anywhere any cheaper so think I might just go for it! Unless you have a good shop near you and you want to bring one down with you?!?

Oh that reminds me, we wont be able to make M's birthday party as that is the weekend we should be moving if all goes to plan but even if it doesn't it'll be very soon after so I'll be running round like a mad thing trying to pack everything!

Eddas · 15/08/2008 07:34

hi Ange
