Yay for staff Friz!
Nothing much been happening- mainly waiting for CSWS to have DC2!

mrm- I read in the evening too, ditto house being a tip! I get through 5 books a month usually- 1 from mn book group, 4 from rl reading group, occasionally read more eg if I'm ill in bed.
Read after an evening's mning to unwind.
I do read very quickly though.
Until I was 18 yo, I had read a book for every day of my life.

mustrunmore · 07/10/2008 11:48

I used to ave about 70-80 books pa. Now I think I ave 5-6!! Evenings... Ds2 bed 7ish, ds1 bed 7.45 but often not to sleep till 8.30 or 9. Sort out clothes and stuff for next day, do dishes, tidy up... 9.30. If dh is home, I'm out at aerobics, if he;s in , I do have to acknowledge him too . And I do read in bed after doing my diary, but if not askleep by 10.30 it kills me gettin up at 5.30am! But now I get 2 hours to myself once a week , so will be back to bed to read!

Flamebat · 07/10/2008 12:47

DH reads in the evening too, so we just ignore each other nicely

EachPeachPearMum · 07/10/2008 13:29

Ah- mrm- I read instead of exercising!!!
To be fair, I'd rather read than eat most of the time so it would all even out!
Plus We get up 7:30-8 am, so can go to sleep later....actually, I really don't sleep enough either.

Frizbe · 07/10/2008 14:07

Strewth EPPM, that's loads
Hmm I tend to read just before bed, so prob a few chapters a night, have to say having no internet at home at mo, is making me read more tho!
No news yet then....Flame you'll have to text me later! I'll check before I leave work about 4.30 (I do post on way home with dd1 in tow from school)

Hey I'm attempting the new exercise class tonight, its a dance class, changes every week aparently, tonight is DISCO! will see...

EachPeachPearMum · 07/10/2008 14:35

Well- I will have a drop in numbers from January, won't I?

Flamebat · 07/10/2008 14:59

nah, all that night feeding etc - I read loads more

EachPeachPearMum · 07/10/2008 21:58

ah- I never got the hang of feeding and reading- I was too tired, and didn't want to wake myself up too much or I'd never drop off again!

mustrunmore · 08/10/2008 08:22

I just fed in my sleep!

disco aerobics... superb! Mind you., all that disco arms thing is very hard at speed . Or maybe its my lack of coordination.

Am thinking bout cashing in my isa(tummy tuck money) and spending it on a boot camp next year. My aerobics teacher wants ro come too, so thats double incentive, as I'd need to be fit enough to keep up with her aswell as not die whilst there! Its sooo expensive, but I'm getting desperate. I can feel the clock ticking, and it getting harder as I get older.

EachPeachPearMum · 08/10/2008 09:48

lol at feeding in sleep- I was too scared of dropping her!

Did you ever have those horrible horrible times when you would be dreaming you were feeding them, and they were still crying.... and you would wake up and they'd be wanting a feed, but you couldn't understand it cos surely you'd just been feeding them????
I hated those!

tummy yuck? boot camp?
I heard a wise piece of advice somewhere, years ago- there comes a time in every woman's life when she has to choose between her face and her bottom- choose your face, and sit down a lot!
(it was to do with older women exercising and looking like death in their faces in order to maintain pert bums)

Jas · 08/10/2008 10:18

EPPM, you feed them lying down in your bed, so you sleep and they don't get dropped!
If I had to be up in the night, I was more likely on here than reading

Frizbe · 08/10/2008 10:38

MRM you sound like you need to meet the looney who teaches us she had us all crawling along the dance studio floor to Disturbia last night we looked very silly. She did a class before ours which was a boot camp circuit class, I've never seen so many knackered people exit the gym. Here's her website link so you can see what she looks does, although you can't really see how muscle bound she is from it/flattest stomach on the planet! www.stephanieburton.co.uk/

How's CSWS getting on, I'm off to find the thread, I assume there is one?

mustrunmore · 08/10/2008 14:26

EPPM, I've never had a pert bottom or a pretty face, so I'm going for the thin-and-fit-as-possible angle.

Friz, sadly I actually looked at that link properly and worked out what I'd like to do Not much travel there then Liking the sound of 6wk intensive courses, not liking the 'prices on request' bit!

Today we had 1.5hrs alone. In our house. In daylight. With no kids. First time ever We have had a midnight till 1am slot alone once when kids were on sleepover, but this was luxury and is going to happen once a fortnight from now on Unless ds2 gets a pm nursery slot in September, in which case it will be 2x 1.5hrs once a month!

Frizbe · 09/10/2008 11:41

great for time on your own MRM, funny how quiet this thread has gone isn't it CSWS's birth thread is rather full tho eh
Well at least the link gave you some ideas?

So I got an email this am from a mate whose in Thailand, whose pregnant!!! the father lives in the Maldives apparently she was in too, as thought she was safe as ovaries had previously been written off

EachPeachPearMum · 09/10/2008 12:03

Thats a very long-distance conception

I notice we're posting less frequently, but more with content

mrm- you do have a very nice face!
MmeTussauds etcetc is because she is always Mme and a chocolate- she is MmeLindt as she is in Switzerland, but think she was kindersurprise prev, when in Germany! mmetussauds was just for halloween, and added chocolate on the end to fit in with normal name IYSWIM- don't think there's any connexion I'm afraid.

Can't believe he hasn't popped out yet though, little monkey. What is he doing in there?

Jas · 09/10/2008 16:50

for your friend Frizbe.

for no children time, mrm.
Also agree you have a very pretty face. Not really paid attention to your bum!

Frizbe · 10/10/2008 10:10

Boo! when will CSWS's baby pop out?? do you reckon if we start a book on times that might tempt the little one?

Jas · 10/10/2008 13:31

Can I pick 12.36 today, please?

Jas · 10/10/2008 13:32

Nope. 12.35. I knew I should have checked before posting...

EachPeachPearMum · 10/10/2008 13:34

I think it was actually 12:35!

mustrunmore · 10/10/2008 14:07

Lol, baby born just at the time I was wandering round Asda saying to dh 'csws wont know what's hit her having a boy, after a sweet little female pfb'. This would be about the time ds2 was destroying the halloween aisle

Hey... ds1.... now officially full time at school

EachPeachPearMum · 10/10/2008 14:13

well- her DD is quite lively, isn't she?
wow- full-time schoolie, scary!

CantSleepWontSleep · 11/10/2008 21:33

Boo!

Jas · 11/10/2008 21:37

Are you home?
How are you
And Duncan?

Congratulations

CantSleepWontSleep · 11/10/2008 21:44

Yes - got back this afternoon.
Good except for a sore and swollen inner thigh. Dh says it's very bruised, but I haven't had chance to look yet.
He's fab. Feeding and sleeping well so far, and smells all lovely and newborny .

Thank you .
