Dream catch me - Newton Faulkner

Having a soppy moment, that's sort of how I feel about being here with you girls sometimes

Not nutter at all CD. The sort of changes you are going through are tough to deal with. Ds is going from reception to year 1 in September and I am gutted! His reception teacher is so lovely, I think I am more upset about it than he is!
Hope you feel better soon. When you get so run down it is hard to shake things off isn't it. Take care xxx

Bramshott · 15/07/2008 14:42

The Baby Catalogue has some great sale items - Graco basic booster seats for £9, baby sleeping bags for £12 etc.

Eddas · 15/07/2008 15:02

CD, hope you begin to feel better soon

Elkie, hope the scan goes(or went) well

caz, glad the dc's got good reports you must be so proud of them all

sorry i've missed people, mind, as ever, has gone blank

DD had her last day at pre-school, there's 12 children leaving they're all such lovely children she'll miss them. Good job 10 of them'll be in her class when she starts school in Jan.

oo oo oo i'm very excited today i just had a phonecall from someone who wants me to do their books for them, yipee, my first customers Fingers crossed this is the start of something good for me

PillockOfTheCommunity · 15/07/2008 15:52

that was a rather random post Bramshott!

I have been being mean to workmen........

leakyR · 15/07/2008 16:13

Sounds fun POTC - what have you been doing?

mammyjo · 15/07/2008 16:15

Why mean?

PillockOfTheCommunity · 15/07/2008 16:20

well............

you know how annoying it is when people park in Parent spaces at Tesco without any children?
This huge workvan parked in a space, meaning I had to go elsewhere with my wriggly small people. The van was bigger than the space so it blocked the road and cars had to go onto the wrong side of the road completely to get past.
As we walked across they had just got out of their van. I followed them into the shopp, called out to them "go on then, where've you hidden the child that means you need to park in that space?". They ignored me. So I asked them if they'd like to take my children round with them, as then it would justify their parking there. They ignored me.
So when I came out I wrote down the Company name and number, and rang them when I got home
Very apologetic man on the end of the phone, had already phoned the driver and given him what for before he came on the phone to me, and couldn't have been nicer
It'll be the last time that driver does that in a hurry!

What made it worse was that he tried to tell his boss he was stopping for lunch, his boss said he wasn't allowed to be taking his lunch at 2.30 and told him off for that too!

I am being proactive about getting out and meeting other mums in the area. Looking at Rhythm Time and Messy Monster classes for George.

Have been to a couple of NCT coffes and even (eek) put my name down to host one in September. This may seem piddling - but it's real progress for me I was so withdrawn when we moved here in April.

Off to pick G up from nursery. POTC let us know why/how you're being a meany!

leakyR · 15/07/2008 16:26

x-post POTC!

Good for you. I hate it when people do that! DH once asked a woman in Sainsburys where she'd hidden her child. G only a few months old - he was sleep deprived bless him!

CaptainDippy · 15/07/2008 16:31

Good for you Leaky Well Done! xx

....and good for you too POTC - give 'em hell!!

cazboldy · 15/07/2008 17:40

Thanks Dippy Yeah we will. In fact atm I am looking forward to it!

Amanda - the new boss's wife is really friendly, and she is going to give the place a clean when the people move out, so I will literally just have to move our stuff in - it will be a relief after moving into this place!

cazboldy · 15/07/2008 17:41

Had harry's leavers concert this afternoon - was fab, but a bit emotional

PillockOfTheCommunity · 15/07/2008 17:51

It's great that she's friendly Caz - better than the grumpy old cow one you've got now

OP posts:
PillockOfTheCommunity · 15/07/2008 17:52

Question is though, are you moving further away from me?

OP posts:
cazboldy · 15/07/2008 18:16

Lol POTC Absolutely

No I think it is probably a bit closer if anything, but you would have to carry on down the A140 instead of going onto the A143 - it is about 5 mins off the A140

PillockOfTheCommunity · 15/07/2008 18:19

oooh, I know the A140 well, and if it's off there it is closer!

So, any clues?
