I haven't had a chance to look at it yet.

You know we still haven't organised anything to celebrate our babies first year.
Any more ideas anyone? Didn't we think it might be Birmingham?

Fennel · 24/02/2005 10:31

oh yes mrs d, good point, we were going to find somewhere baby-friendly in or near birmingham weren't we.

should put something on the meet-up thread - anyone in birmingham know a good place to meet?

LucyJones · 24/02/2005 10:34

Birminham is a bit far for me. I could do London though

Hello!
blimey what a lot to catch up on..! Meanwhile we've had a busy week NOT being on holiday... Had to cancel 'cos ds2 has been so poorly with his tummy bug - yesterday was his first day in nearly a week without having d&v - poor thing's lost quite a bit of weight (although the doctor said she didn't think it was worrying - what with him being so big and all...). For once I was glad he had lots to spare - and at least his clothes will fit him for a bit longer?!! So, mean mummy that I am I've flung him back into nursery...

dp caught the bug yesterday so now she's poorly - there's only ds1 and me left standing - not sure how long for. The whole week's been a disaster really, and I'm back at work next week... (although at least I'll be able to Mumsnet more often!).

MrsDoolittle · 24/02/2005 12:18

I know dot, it's ghastly isn't it!

Chuffed · 24/02/2005 19:46

no d&v (touch wood) but off again work and nursery with high temp and not herself. It is still about 39 and was at 40 last night.

We are in London apart from Turkey for 23/3-3/4.
No car so where we meet would need to be easy for public transport (if poss). I meet up would be nice though.

I was wondering how you'd been dot as we hadn't heard from you for a while.

KristinaM · 24/02/2005 20:03

Ooh that would be lovely - do come here!!

Hi Dot - sorry to hear your Ds is so poorly. D&V for a week is pretty bad.

Took Ds to his 8 month check up yesterday. She ticked all the boxes on the form without even asking me or seeing the baby do his stuff. She then filled in the charts for 36 weeks rather than 42. So he is now too tall with a small head

Now i remember why I haven't taken him to the Hv since he was 4 months old.......

hewlettsdaughter · 24/02/2005 20:07

So we have:

LucyJones - London
Yorkiegirl - Leeds
KristinaM - Scotland
tracyk - Bedford and occasionally Scotland
Fennel - Manchester (also Wiltshire/Scotland)
Chuffed - London (no car)
hewlettsdaughter - Oxford (no car)

All welcome
