Dippy - I read that as three bowls of hula hoops!!!

NorthernLurker · 19/06/2008 20:49

SPB - don't worry about it - sooner or later they will all do this to us - it really is just a phase. Dd1 existed for a long time on toast, apple juice and fromage frais. You can imagine how that made me feel!

StealthPolarBear · 19/06/2008 20:49

bananananananananana
we have (to the tune of the bangles song)
"Na na bananana banana ...oon toast"

cazboldy · 19/06/2008 20:51

I wish Molly still bf

My ds2 Harry, was 11 months before he ever had a mouthful of solid food. I tried him almost every meal time but he just wasn't interested. He bf until 15 months at least 4 times a day, and all of a sudden decided to eat, and then he ate anything and everything

NorthernLurker · 19/06/2008 20:57

when did she stop caz?

Sexonlegs · 19/06/2008 20:57

NL, thanks for sharing !

It is so annoying isn't it bloody periods - excuse the pun!

SPB, it is such a pita when they don't eat. K is like GM's C - I have to really distract her. They just want to get on with playing don't they.

Caz, that's a good weight on M and GM, your C is a great weight too.

No idea what K weighs. Should get her weighed some time.

Hi to everyone else - apologies for lack of personals.

CaptainDippy · 19/06/2008 21:03

Bloody periods!!

NorthernLurker · 19/06/2008 21:06

I always like to share

CaptainDippy · 19/06/2008 21:08

P would soooo eat three bowls of Hula Hoops for breakfast (lunch snd tea) if she could!

Quick Q .....

OK, so whose baby(ies) on this thread falls into either (or both) of these categories ....

b.) No teeth

Answers on a postcard ....

????????????

NorthernLurker · 19/06/2008 21:11

You have the amazing toothless babies don't you? I would love to know how you manage that!

Sexonlegs · 19/06/2008 21:12

Dippy, K isn't walking. She has 6 teeth. I know I shouldn't but I keep comparing her with B and she seems really behind

CaptainDippy · 19/06/2008 21:15

Whoops - should post that smiley ... my baby would get jealous of all it's teeth!

AngeG · 19/06/2008 21:16

Evening chatty people

Just adding my stuff.

My period is coming regular as clockwork but lasting for between 10 days and a week and has been for ages It's doing my head in and DHs

Today Izzy has had

BF
1 bowl of ready brek (150mls milk)
cheese spread sandwich (not much eaten)
Raisins
Cheese stripper
organix crisps
2 yoghurts
biscuits
packet of milkybar buttons
1 1/2 fish fingers
grated carrot
chips
BF before bed

Today is a good day foodwise some days she eats very little. I try to be relaxed about it. Someone once said to me to look at what they eat over a longer period of time than 1 day and you'll usually find it evens out.

No idea what Izzy weighs now that we have been discharged from hv I don't really think about it. Last time she was just under 19lbs

Oooggs - Don't think I've said since you outed yourself Congratulations. Sorry you're feeling so ill. Hope it eases off soon. Arse about MW appointment.

POTC - Hope you sort phone situation out.

Forgotten everything else.

CaptainDippy · 19/06/2008 21:17

Not you shouldn't SOL - they are all different .....

DD1 - no teeth and not walking til 2. Not talking til 3.

DD2 - walking at 11m, teeth at 15/16m and talking for bloody England by 18m, easily.

NorthernLurker · 19/06/2008 21:18

Yes Ange my dh isn't too impressed with the period situation either

CaptainDippy · 19/06/2008 21:18

OK Ange - I don't care about what Izzy ate today .... all I want to know is .....

HOW MANY TEETH!!? IS SHE ON HER PINS??

(Although I've seen a pic of her walking, I think)

AngeG · 19/06/2008 21:20

NL

Yes Dippy she is walking and she has 8ish teeth! (some half way through!)

CaptainDippy · 19/06/2008 21:21

Whatever

Sexonlegs · 19/06/2008 21:21

My dh also getting pissed off. I don't think he believes me!

Hi Ange How is the lovely Izzy?

AngeG · 19/06/2008 21:23

Sorry Dippy

Hi SOL. I think my DH thinks I making it up to get out of sex!!

Izzy loads better thanks. Back to her happy smiley self. Although she is still up atm and wandering around the lounge!

Hope you're all better soon. We should arrange to meet up sometime soon?!

CaptainDippy · 19/06/2008 21:23

Right. I've started a thread about the teeth situation ..... I need to find some "friends" that also produce toothless wonders!!

NorthernLurker · 19/06/2008 21:23

I've had dd1 - teeth from five months, walkingn at 12 months, not talking fluently till near 3
Dd2 - teeth at five months, walkinng at 14 months, talking - can't remember tbh but it was way, way earlier than dd1.
B - teeth at five months I think (can't remember that either and it's less than a year ago ), walking at 12 months and talking - who knows?

Dd1 also didn't potty train till she was 3 1/2 and dd2 was less than 2/12 - but wasn't dry at night for months and months after that!

What does all that add up to - variety I guess

Oh and I know at least 2 children who never took a step till past 18 months.

CaptainDippy · 19/06/2008 21:24

What are you doing on the 26th July Ange and SOL????

elkiedee · 19/06/2008 21:25

I'm sure D's the giant of the bunch - he hasn't been weighed since the autumn, I don't think! I expected he would be weighed last time I took him to the HV, way back in December, and she just called two colleagues who'd met us to see how huge he was.

He'll eat some of most things when in the mood and play with the rest. My mum came to see him today, as she's in London for a family friend's funeral (which I'm going to too, tomorrow afternoon) and bought him some strawberries. He devoured some in the park but when I foolishly have him one after tea, it ended up everywhere.

The exciting news here is, D is walking! Around the CM's house, around the park, around our front room. He falls over a bit of course, but I think now he's got the idea he will master it really fast - for a while he's been able to do a few steps but it was obviously easier to crawl when he wanted to get somewhere, I think now he'll feel he can get there on 2 feet. Eeeeek!
