Hi - anyone fancy making up a thread for babies born this month? My dd (child no 4 ) was born on 6th Jan - I have had a rough time so far with feeding (cracked nipples etc) but things have started to improve now (I think). if only I could get her to sleep at night....

13:18 she was born. it was horrible her skin thought hair would never grow did heal in about a month completly, but u can still see a scar, but hair has just started growing on it now. what time was yours born?

angie0201 · 05/06/2005 20:42

Just read what you said earlier about your DD being in 6-9 but 3-6 being too short for her thats exactly the same prob i have i thought she was a big baby have put her in jammies now because sleepsuits are expensive and she is getting too long for them so quickly.

KAMA Was looking at pics of your DD and you wouldn't belive that not only were they born on the same day you have the same bouncy chair as me and the same play mat! how do you put pictures in?

Not been on in a while - hibernating trying to finish uni work grrrrr!

DS sleeping better now he's on solids and what an appetite - I think he's going to be huuuuge. Has refused nothing so far and keeps solids down better than my milk. He's 20 weeks and adorable

Once I've figured out how to post pics I shall do so.

hi everyone I'm new to mumsnet, my dd was born on 31st january and growing quickly. we are moving her to her own room this weekend so, kama, or anyone if you have any tips on how to make the transition problem free, for both of us i would appreciate it.

dizzymama · 06/06/2005 16:17

I'd be interested in advice on that one too S13, that day is fast approaching. will be sad to see her leave our room but glad to get my night's sleep back (she thumps her legs on the cot very very noisily!)

Hi Kama

He's 20 weeks and not sure how much he weighs - not had him at the weigh in for a while but just by looking at him, he's blooming. He's in his own room in the cot now as he out grew the pram base pretty quickly. We adopted a different tack re sleeping. DH and I agreed that since I was bf I'd get up during the night so he could go to work not feeling like keck. So from the start I slept in the other room with DS. I lasted 5 weeks (with a couple of breaks at weekends when DH took over) then was drawn back to the comfort of my own bed. DS made so many noises during his sleep that I couldn't get to sleep for listening out for him. He moved from pram to cot with no worries. Do use a grobag as he would kick everything off.

I'm studying local economic development and have just to finish the final chapter of my dissertation. Only a few calls to make but difficult trying to find a peaceful opportunity to do them

Oh and anyone else experiencing the great hair fall out yet? My lovely locks have dwindled to a pathetic, thin and wispy, unkempt mop.

Hoover is choked with my hair

sob

dizzymama · 07/06/2005 17:50

Pagan I really knwo what you mean! My hair is creating tumbleweeds around the house, I dread washing my hair and Dd is covered in it! When does the hair loss stop??!!

Pagan · 07/06/2005 18:37

Dunno! I was looking rather bald the first time round when I got pregnant again and my nice thick hair came back.

angie0201 · 07/06/2005 20:26

Glad to har im not the only one losing my hair my DD is starting to pull my hair and its coming out in clumps!!!
DD sat for the first time on ther own last week and like u said karma it is so funny when they fall in slow motion!!
Just a general question to you all really my DD is blowing raspberrys all the time now does anyone else experience this?

dizzymama · 07/06/2005 20:40

my dd doesn't (justdribblesconstantly!) but my friend's child of the same age does all the time. I think it's really funny but she has to live with it

kazoo · 07/06/2005 21:44

Yes, dd started blowing raspberries last week and giggling after she does it. She seems to be doing something new every day now. Find it unfair that I have to go back to work in 4 wks just as she is blossoming. Anyone else about to go back to work and absolutely dreading it? I don't actually mind the work, but leaving my 2 will be very hard and the fact that they are going to the MIL is making me very twitchy.

angie0201 · 08/06/2005 09:32

Will be going back to work in november and going to leave them with the MIL which will be v hard, hope everything goes alright for u when u go back

Pagan · 08/06/2005 14:40

DS is blowing raspberries and flapping his arms around with a very concentrated look on his face.
