ouch, ouch, ouch, ouch!!! my eyes are watering at the thought of stbbing nip with needle. So pleased that you liked the dress.

Ella was due to have the MMR whilst we were away, so am now waiting for the next slot for her to go and have it done.

MrsJB, sorry i havent responded to your text. Would love a good chat so jsut let me know when you are free.

Am away all weekend (without the kids) as we are going to Croft for the Touring Cars. MIL having J&E - not sure how that will go but thought we should try it once

Off to tidy room as it is minging and need to get it nice before they come round.

Hope you all have a great weekend x

Pinkjenny · 30/05/2008 09:00

Morning all.

April L absolutely loves her dress! Do you think it'll fit me???? Its gorgeous, thank you, thank you, thank you! Please let me give you the money for it!

L had a terrible night, tossing and turning like a little worm, crying, so got up to give her some Calpol at 4am, and she started bouncing on the bed and throwing the lid against the headboard. little minx.

L's favourite food is cake. Although she loves fruit too, so am endeavouring to ensure her diet is balanced, she's such a tiny little thing.

She is staying with my mum and dad tonight as dh and I are going for a Chinese and then to see SATC (don't get excited, its not a fertile time, so no babies will be conceived this week ) as a treat for my birthday on Sunday.

I really must get some work done today.

SKYTVADDICT · 30/05/2008 09:31

Morning all

At work again and really can't get motivated!

Happy Birthday for Sunday PJ and I hope you have a lovely time tonight.

Oh dear Pebble - hope you get to tell him over the weekend.

Ouch SOH that sounds very painful!

I'm sure you will have a lovely weekend AM and your MIL will cope!

I think DP and I need a night out but just can't summon the energy! My mum is the best one to look after C at night as he knows her best and as you know he doesn't GO to bed but needs rocking etc so I think would play anybody else up. My mum however is doing so much for us this week with me being at work - she is looking after the DDs and has done all my drying and ironing so far - she is also having C next Tuesday all day so I can't really ask her to babysit at night too!

Better get on with some work I suppose

scootermum · 30/05/2008 09:49

Bloody hell SOH!>>Shudders at the thought

scootermum · 30/05/2008 09:52

How old are you on Sunday Pink?

My friend and I were at the Lancome counter at Boots at lunch yesterday and she nearly cried because the advisor told her she needed to change her products to ones for older skin. She is only 34!
I was quite smug till I realised that Ive only got a year and a half till Im supposed to change mine to ones for not- quite- the youngest -skin as well...

Bensonbluebird · 30/05/2008 10:16

A eats everything too, unless he is ill and then he subsists on a diet of yoghurt and raisins. I'm quite hard hearted about food, if they don't want what I have given them they don't get anything else. It does work though, DS1 eats everything too.

A missed his MenC and Hib the other week because he was ill, who knows when we will get another appointment as they are issued centrally. If they give you an appointment that you can't make it takes weeks for them to give you another. I'm a big supporter of vaccinations. I don't think it is a decsision that you can make purely on the basis of your own child. How would you feel if a very little baby caught measles because you hadn't vaccinated? (Still a lefty )

Cam, when I went to E Africa years ago my doctor gave me a yellow fever certificate but didn't do the vaccination because he said it wasn't effective. Is this still the case?

Pinkjenny · 30/05/2008 11:10

Ahem, 31 Scoot. Will not be changing my products! Although I won't buy rubbish anymore, except for my nails, where I find that Rimmel 60 seconds is a winner with a baby that won't stay asleep.

A train ride sounds great, have a good day. L likes the train too, she enjoys staring out the other passengers, and sometimes she pats them on the arm. Its all very amusing.

scootermum · 30/05/2008 11:15

I know.I am beyond Boots 17 now.Heavy duty serious products for me now.Its very unfair I think that the older you get the more expennsive the maintenance is!

ShowOfHands · 30/05/2008 11:38

We got M a smart trike for birthday 1. She loves it more than gingerbread. Didn't pay that much for it. Was £20 in the sales after Crimbo.

I don't wear make-up. Never have. Not just a hippy. Not just a dull hippy. A washed-out, pale, dull hippy. LG&T'll tell ya. I barely brush my hair tbh.

Pinkjenny · 30/05/2008 11:42

OOOH L got one of those - here

FYI SOH - my hair is a complete state today. Didn't have time to wash it, its up in a frizzy, messy pony tail.

ShowOfHands · 30/05/2008 11:46

What a delightful shade of pink.

I wash my hair very occasionaly. Tis a faff.

ShowOfHands · 30/05/2008 11:47

can spell occasionally btw.

am bf AGAIN.

Pinkjenny · 30/05/2008 11:47

We lurrrve Pink, don't we SOH?

I absolutely despise washing my hair too. Oh, the days when I used to have time to wash it and straighten it, and it always (well, maybe not always) looked nice.

Now is a mess and I am generally a shadow of my former self.

ShowOfHands · 30/05/2008 11:50

leave it.

twill wash itself.

it's all eau de bebe and crumbs in your cleavage these days.

AbbyLou · 30/05/2008 11:53

Just nipped to Tesco, forgot it was Firday and it was absolutely mobbed. Got stopped/shouted at by about 5 different school kids which was fun. Had to get the new baby boy an outfit, it looks so tiny! Almost made me feel broody but not quite. Kids are eating now, just a snacky lunch so I'm grabbing 5 minutes to myself beofre we hit the park.

largeginandtonic · 30/05/2008 11:56

Have just had a shower and washed my hair, i want to straighten it but the weather look dubious.

I want leek and potato soup but really dont want to make it. I need a chef.

The boy is in bed, long may he stay there. I am just a chew toy to him at the moment.

largeginandtonic · 30/05/2008 11:58

FGS whats wrong with your hair excactly SOH? I thought it was very nice and looked clean too. You dont need make up it detracts from your natural beauty.

How is the spiked nipple?

I am on to antiwrinkle cream Needs must.

Train trip will have to be cancelled.Numpty DH has taken both buggies with him to work in his car.Who wants to volunteer to impart this news to L when she wakes up?...No one?

Why he had both buggies in the car is a mystery to me in the first place.

I have put hot oil on my hair this morning and dried and straightened whilst the kids are asleep so it looks quite good for once.Of course all this will be in vain if I go outside as it is damp and I will end up with an afro either way.
Hair doesnt wash itself in the end either..thats a myth perpetuated by soap dodgers

I think I want Leek and Potato soup now as well. Here I wil do the Leeks and you do the tatties gandt and we will combine the two to dazzling effect Or I will have some special K as thats all there is in the house except the girls lunch.

I was thinking of a trike..We got L one when M was born and she loves hers..but I thought maybe a bit old for a 1 year old..but if you guys have got them then that will be fine Good o..

Now what shall I make for the Party tea?I have never done a party tea before. It will be 10 toddlers, 12 adults and 3 1 year olds..unless any of you lot fancy coming-you are of course all welcome Tea will feature KK's in some shape or form naturellment

Pinkjenny · 30/05/2008 12:12

Scoot - we have this blardy car drama as well, changing of car seats, swapping of boots, it drives me mad.

Am envying Scoot and LG&T's freshly washed hair, and am now feeling even more tramp like than before.

I am eating a cheese and onion sandwich at my desk, whilst studiously MNing working away.

Mum has just phoned me to tell me L won't eat her lunch. What she expects me to do 25 miles up the M6 is anybody's guess really.

ShowOfHands · 30/05/2008 12:19

Have spent the last 5 minutes snorting with laughter at the very idea of my 'natural beauty'. Hmmmmm.....

Nowt wrong with my hair, never said there was. I just don't bother washing it more than once every 10 days. Always looks the same. I brush it sometimes.

I'm going to have pikelets for lunch.

Spiked nipple is throbbing. M has had 4 bfs today.

Pinkjenny · 30/05/2008 12:21

Doesn't your head start to itch?

Spiked nipple talk is putting me off my hula hoops.

largeginandtonic · 30/05/2008 12:33

Not surprised spiked nipple is hurting > You are very pretty and have lovely hair. Dunno what your snorting for.

I have made the soup, will pass it round in about 20 mins. It needs to simmer, will whizz and add cream. Yum. Course i feel like dath warmed up now as i can smell it.

The boy is still asleep, wahoooo.

Scoot that is bad news on the buggy, how bloody annoying. I have friends in Plymouth (rich) and they have a car seat and buggy for each car as well as one for the nanny. How the other half live eh?

OP posts:
largeginandtonic · 30/05/2008 12:33

That would be death not dath, whwtever that is

I didn't wash my hair for 4 months once, it didn't come clean, but then I didn't even rinse it which I now understand is an essential part of the programme. My excuse is that it was too blumming cold and we had to melt all the water we used (I was in the Arctic doncherknow). It didn't actually start to smell until I got back to warmer climes. When I did finally wash it it fluffed up into a big halo. Didn't I just look great he he.
