Congrats Dippy. Lovely news. xx

Oooggs, have a huge hug from me. I am sorry you are having such a hard time. This parenting lark is hellish. xx

Eddas · 13/05/2008 20:07

oh oooggs, much sympathy from me. I think you cope so well. You haev 2 babies and often have very little sleep. I however have no such excuse as mine generally sleep through but I still struggle. I often read your posts and give myself a little slap. Keep strong you are doing a brillant job {{{hugs}}}

I got a text that made me too.

I sort of remember doing a list of our birthdays. i'll have a quick trawl and see if I can find it.

Am also going to look for beds We've ordered the shed we need and i want a bed on order before the week's out, not that my cheque's cleared yet but that's what a credit card is for. it's safer to pay by credit card on internet

Eddas · 13/05/2008 20:10

birthdays

liath · 13/05/2008 20:21

Sympathies here too Oooggs.

Congratulations Auntie CD!!

Bleurgh here. I am knackered. I was ill last week then ds was ill and now DH has bogged off to London for a conference. I need a break......

Scottish ladies - I went to the Five Sisters zoo today (it's just off the A71 near West Calder) and it was pretty good. Ds was just fascinated by the animals, so cute to watch . I tried to give him something healthy for lunch at the cafe but evidently the chef felt sorry for him and gave him a massive plate of chips for free and the greedy sod waded his way through the lot .

StealthPolarBear · 13/05/2008 20:27

Congrats Ayntie Dippy

Oooggs sorry you have had a hard day

I am actually not very happy atm....with all the school stuff etc, but I am trying not to dwell on it, hence all the spring cleaning.... Took dc to the local garden centre this afternoon, and have done hanging baskets and some tubs of pretty flowers for on the patio and am knackered, but haven't sat down all day. trouble is I am not sleeping all that well at night either... I even woke dh for a session at 2 am

cazboldy · 13/05/2008 20:34

Auntie Dippy even

Sexonlegs · 13/05/2008 20:38

It's all that shagging Caz - made your typing go funny

cazboldy · 13/05/2008 20:40

lol

now we know what's up with Dooby

Sexonlegs · 13/05/2008 20:43

ROFL! Well, there you go. And why my typing is so accurate!!!!

oooggs · 13/05/2008 20:44

caz - how do you do it??????? looking after the house/animals/dh/children etc.... and still have the energy to shag???????

I must be getting old

thanks for your well wishes, it was this time (14mths) after ds1 that things went pear shaped and I ended up on ads. Things are different now and I am not resentful of dh and my marriage is stronger but........ I just feel out of control, maybe I should spend less time on mn and get of my fat arse and do something constructive

cazboldy · 13/05/2008 21:01

mainly because I want to

The animals (horses especially) are my passion and I couldn't imagine not having them. my Mum thinks I am selfish to have them, and drag the kids around looking after them, but they mostly enjoy it, and I think it's good for them to be outside in the fresh air.

I am lucky enough to have never been depressed. I get down, but i can normally drag myself up again. My Mum has been though, and I know how hard it can be. When I was little she used to have panic attacks and wouldn't go out anywhere for a while

You underestimate yourself hugely oooggs - you have such a lot on your plate - 2 babies and a job (something I don't have)
Give yourself a break xx

oooggs · 13/05/2008 21:10

2 babies are the problem the park this afternoon was a nightmare they are off (both walking) in different directions, Erin just about to walk infront of swing & Jack is on third rung of climbing frame .

Grabbed Erin, Jack fell but caught his leg so didn't hit the floor - it was manic - there was 5 of us but the other 4 only had one 'March baby' each - I was run ragged

StealthPolarBear · 13/05/2008 21:20

meant to say hi to PuppyMonkey

Sexonlegs · 13/05/2008 21:35

Caz, a bit shocked your mum would say you are selfish having horses. We all have to have a hobby, and I think that is a great one to have. Sorry if I have spoken out of turn.

Oooggs, what a fright in the park I remember my cousin who has dt's having a nightmare with managing them both once they were walking.

liath · 13/05/2008 22:00

Don't envy you the twins-in-park scenario, oooggs. I was naively thinking how much easy it would be at the park once ds was walking but he just b*ggers off in the opposite direction to dd the whole time. You need one of those retractable dog-lead thingies !

Caz, I grew up with horses because my mum is horse-mad. I think it was really good for me, really teaches you some resposibility looking after them. I don't ride any more but have really good memories of a pony-cnetred childhood.

liath · 13/05/2008 22:01

pony-centered i meant. Haven't had sex either...

Doobydoo · 13/05/2008 22:05

Congrats CD
Bloody hell Caz'bionic woman
Unfortunately my unique typing style is not due to THAT
OOOggs have no idea how you manage,I think you sound fab
M can open stair gate and climbed half way up when I was talking to my friend earlier
If he thinks he is so darn clever he should walk
Ds1 been fine all day, then really awful 10 mins ago to dp I am so and pisssed off.

leakyR · 13/05/2008 22:23

I'm back online!!!! It's soooo exciting! Haven't caught up and as I've been off for nearly a month I probably never will. Any big news? Juicy gossip? I hope you're not all still lurgified (thread title). I was heartened to see you were at the top of the post-natal clubs list when i searched some things never change.

The move went well and we're settling in nicely. George loves his new nursery - the staff are lovely. Dh is so much more relaxed and less tired now he's not doing that commute every day. I'm really enjoying my new job; still training at the moment but it's better than Leeds.

StealthPolarBear · 13/05/2008 22:25

Hi leaky, glad things are going well
Big news - Vio is pregnant! NL is moving house, Pesha has got a new car, GM's C is a model!

I know I have missed some obvious, big news and will be really embarrassed, please tell me!

Welcome back Leaky.

Eddas · 14/05/2008 10:01

Morning

CaptainDippy · 14/05/2008 10:17

Ooooggs and Caz are AMAZING!!!! I think your lifestyle is absolutely perfect for your children Caz - that is coming from someone who grew up in a big family, out in the country air surrounded by horses - so I am an expert in these matters!!

Great to have you back Leaky!! How's things? How your wee man?

Spoke to SIL last night, she had an amazing 4 hour labour, no drugs Little one was 5lb 14oz and is doing just fine No name yet In-laws are down there already
