That's very nice of you to say so Dippy, but I'm not really

SOL - thanks oh she just disapproves of me in general....too many kids, messy house, hair too long, etc etc etc

Oooggs - What one doesn't think of the other does hey? It is hard enough with a 1 and a 2 year old but 2 the same age.....I do admire you.... Do the people in your "twins club" say it will get easier??

We have just been and looked at the local primary school. Seems quite nice. Very small, but friendly. As I suspected, Caitlin and Harry will be in the same class. Don't know if that is a good thing, or a bad thing?

CaptainDippy · 14/05/2008 11:03

Sounds nice Caz Well I think you re amazing anyway!!

cazboldy · 14/05/2008 11:09

cazboldy · 14/05/2008 11:09

Hi all. Congrats to your SIL Auntie CD! Lovely news

Oooggs, you have every right to be knackered and pissed off I think. I have many bouts of feeling like that with just the one baby in tow. It is so hard and I really can't imagine coping with two of her. Hope you are ok today xxx

Is Runny on hols and having bad weather? Just read oooggs post saying about it so wasnt sure if I had missed something!

My typing is always reasonable which rightly tells you that there are no nocturnal activities in this house!

Leaky, lovely to see you back. Glad everything is going well

Ellie, hope things have calmed down a bit for you now

Thats all I can remember, back to work tomorrow I really don't want to go tbh as my boss is being a right witch, but can't sit at home forever I guess. My mate told me I should go and eat a bag of chips to trigger things off again Unfortunately the pain is so bad that I wouldn't even attempt it!

Idreamofchocolate · 14/05/2008 13:49

...........Sticks head 'round door to see if anyone remembers me..........

Hello, I am still alive...just. Life is very very busy and hectic and half the time I don't know where the days and weeks (and indeed years) go. Hence S was 1 last week and Em is 6 today. S has chickenpox poor little lamb, and has been very poorly with it. She looks terrible, am almost embarrased to take her out as she also insists on gurning at everyone, and mussing up her hair so she just looks like weird freaky plague baby.

Work has just been mad since I got back there in Jan, and my lovely boss has just announced he's leaving in August, so my family-friendly safety-net will disappear. Needless to say, I am rather worried and sad as I will miss him terribly, he really is a rock.

Other than that, life goes on. MIL is still an utter PITA and I could rant on for an hour given the chance. Better not.....although she's coming round later so maybe I'll see what gems she comes out with today.

Hope all going well with all you lovely yummy mummies. Will really try to be a better MNer in the future! Love to all x

Sexonlegs · 14/05/2008 14:24

Afternoon

IDOC, how could we forget you??? Good to see you. Sorry poor S is suffering so badly. CP seem to be doing the rounds. K has some spots and her key worker at nursery was suggesting it was the onset of cp. Methinks not; it is just heat rash fgs!

MJ, hope you are ok. Sorry to hear your boss is being a cow. Give her a kick from me !

Leaky, lovely to see you back on here.

Caz, hope you are having a less manic day today.

Hope everyone else is ok.

Quiet here. K has been asleep for the last hour and a half! I always worry when she sleeps too long, as it makes me wonder if she is coming down with summat!! Me negative - no!!!!!!!!!

Bramshott · 14/05/2008 15:34

Oh f**cking hell, I am having a shit afternoon. Loads of work stuff about to hit the fan, some of which is my fault, but some of which is the stupid dithery people I work for, and both DDs about to arrive home any minute which will just add to the stress of the whole horrid mess !

oooggs · 14/05/2008 17:04

you lot are great but I don't complain and whine to get praise (like ds1 )

yes mj - the weather with runny isn't great - she has posted

bugger forgotten what I was going to type - will be back later when dcs are sorted

StealthPolarBear · 14/05/2008 18:10

Another quickie.Hope work isn't as bad as you think Bramshott.
I had one of those moments today where I was just full of love for my boys.Went to beach water v.cold but ds1 has always loved water so he went in surf board and all.M dipped his toes in and then spent the rest of the time in the tent eating and drinking[with a dash of sand]and laughing and humming it was totally fab
Am off to watch the Apprentice soon.So wishing a good night to all

StealthPolarBear · 14/05/2008 20:25

aaah Dooby you big softie
I confess to feeling the same, since T has started feeling better he's gone back to the little love I was worried would never reappear, laughing, chatting, being generally cute!

Sexonlegs · 14/05/2008 20:30

So quiet on here!

Bramshott, hope you are ok. You sound a tad stressed.

Oooggs, hope you have had a better day.

Hi Dooby. Your trip to the beach sounded lovely

SPB, so glad T is returning to good health. Must be a relief.

Just been to Body Sculpt, and am shattered. Legs feel like jelly. Sat here eating Pringles and drinking red wine now though !

StealthPolarBear · 14/05/2008 20:32

lol I am having wine and have just eaten the last of the pringles, moved on to dairy milk

OP posts:
StealthPolarBear · 14/05/2008 20:33

is K well at the moment?

OP posts:
Sexonlegs · 14/05/2008 20:37

I shall be moving on to dinner soon - just waiting for it to cook.

K is ok. Very snotty tho and has been for weeks. Also teething big time.

But, she is adorable Thanks for asking.

StealthPolarBear · 14/05/2008 20:41

Does she have a cold or is the snottiness teething related?
I keep thinking T is teething too - there's one rather large lump ... I think he is saving it for a special ocassion!

OP posts:
elkiedee · 14/05/2008 21:26

Hi all, don't suppose you'll see this IDOC, but good to glimpse you popping in.

Off to France tomorrow, but haven't got past vaguely thinking we should at least pack D's stuff. His clothes are in the bathroom whereas ours are in the room where he's asleep, so I have a good excuse for leaving those until the morning.

StealthPolarBear · 14/05/2008 21:32

Hi elkie, have a lovely trip

OP posts:
Sexonlegs · 14/05/2008 21:37

I can't think it's a cold tbh, so must be teething. She has got 4 teeth at the top all poking through.

I also wondered if it was related to when she started on cows milk?

StealthPolarBear · 14/05/2008 21:41

ooh I bet that really hurts
Could be the cows' milk I suppose - think I'm the last person to have a sensible opinion on that (we're still considering cutting it out of T's diet, not sure). Are you just going to see how it goes?

OP posts:
Sexonlegs · 14/05/2008 21:48

Think I may do some research. I know cows milk can result in dodgy tummies, but not sure about the other effects.

Eddas · 15/05/2008 07:48

glad t is feeling better SPB, about time

SOL, ds gets a snotty nose here and there, i put his last one down to the sudden nice weather, temperature changes 'n all that.

elkie, have a lovely time in France

It's dc's settling in session at nursery this morning. DD is veyr excited about it still i've been talking it up to her and, fingers crossed, it seems to be working. DS should be ok as long as i remember his dummy and blanket
