Thanks POTC for passing on all the congrats. I'm still giddy with excitement and nerves.

Nice to see you again NL.

Oh, and if Auntie Meemz is sticking around it's lovely to see you, hope you find some time to talk to us. Have you been getting some more work? (sorry if I missed anything about that in my efforts to catch up)

CaptainDippy · 21/05/2008 09:51

Bramshott - So sorry about your Grandpa. Hope you're ok xx

Forgotten everything else.

zazas · 21/05/2008 10:02

Hello, I should be working but a quick look and I saw your exciting news Elkiedee - congratulations and I am very happy for you - second babies are easier and third even more

By the way all well here, just so busy and could do with a moment to breathe now and then. I have my cousin over from Amsterdam tomorrow with her 7 month old and then my Aunt over from America on Fri / Sat (it has been 14 years since I saw her). It is quite emotional as she is the first member from my Dad's side (he died a long time ago) to meet any of my children and my DS looks just like his Grandad - her brother!

Oopps, I am receiving urgent skype messages that I should no longer ignore!!!

Hope the collective rest are keeping well...... x

mammyjo · 21/05/2008 10:03

Yay!!!! Congratulations Elkie!!! Fantastic news, I am so pleased for you!

And can I just say that no-one texted me the news either, meanies!

Runny, so pleased you had a good holiday. Thanks for the phone call yesterday, was lovely to hear from you

Pre op assessment appointment this afternoon for me. I am planning to ask if they know whether a surgery date is likely to be soon following this. Scared of having it done, but I have got to the point where I am fed up of feeling rough and want things over and done with!

And once again, congratulations Elkie! I am so chuffed for you, I love pregnancy news! Not broody at all though

CaptainDippy · 21/05/2008 10:04

Hello Ange and Zazas Gosh, Zazas, you sound a bit flat out atm honey .... hope it gets less busy soon xx

mammyjo · 21/05/2008 10:04

zazas · 21/05/2008 10:12

Nice to see you too. Mammyjo - I have been thinking of you by the way and hope that get the date sorted - it is hard just not knowing when things are happening - good luck. I know CD I keep thinking that it just has to slow done sometime.....doesn't it

I really do not want to work today - was up late last night doing a proposal - aaahhh > tell me am I the only one whose baby has NOT slept the whole way through the night yet????!!!!!!!!!!

CaptainDippy · 21/05/2008 10:14

mammyjo · 21/05/2008 10:15

You clearly are the chosen one dippy!

CaptainDippy · 21/05/2008 10:16
Wink
mammyjo · 21/05/2008 10:18

Zazas, I think that there are several here whose babies do not sleep through so I don't think it is just you!

StealthPolarBear · 21/05/2008 10:35

you're not the only one zazas
T's current sleep routine is so bad I think I would have found it hard when he was 2 or 3 months!

OP posts:
elkiedee · 21/05/2008 10:42

LOL, I should have guessed texting was involved by the speed of communication.

zazas · 21/05/2008 10:45

SPB - me too, in fact some morning I look up looking like I recently must have given birth I am getting to the point where, when it is a bad night, I am getting upset about it but I hate controlled crying - what do do eh???!!

StealthPolarBear · 21/05/2008 10:50

Well I'm the l;ast person to give advice, however we are cosleeping after pretty much the first wake of the night (which seems to be an hour or two after he goes to bed) and even though he feeds most of the night it doesn't seem too bad. Apart from Sat and Sun night when he literally did feed from 3am until getting up time I think on a normal night he must wake every hour or so and have a small feed.
He still has a dreadful cough - I'm hoping it's related and will get back to normal soon. He hasn't woken every 2 hours through the night since he was about 3 or 4 months I don't think - sure he was on 4-5 hours then!

StealthPolarBear · 21/05/2008 10:51

As you may know we did a chicken version of CC - hated it but it seemed the only option on nights where he wouldn't be put down without waking up (this is before we've gone to bed of course) and when our nerves are frayed. Don't think I have the ability or energy to do it during the night though when co sleeping seems much easier. I don't know, think we'll give it another couple of months like this and see what it's like then

Bramshott · 21/05/2008 10:52

Congratulations Elkie - that's great news! Hope you are feeling okay.

N's birthday is 14 Jan and despite all appearances it's a lovely time of year to have a birthday - really gives you something to look forward to after Christmas is over (she was due 2 March of course, but that's another story!).

StealthPolarBear · 21/05/2008 10:52

I don't mean we did CC on our chickens - controlled clucking

OP posts:
CaptainDippy · 21/05/2008 10:56

LOL

Doobydoo · 21/05/2008 11:05
