Hi all

thankyou for all the birthday wishes

we have had a lovely day...... except for my sister making a tit of herself last night I am very with her..... she really needs to grow up, and act like a mother instead of a child.

she left her lo unattended in a pub last night while outside in some tossers car at 1.30 am luckily my bil was there at the party, and recognised him, and rung my parents, but she is denying it....my mum rang the landlady who is confirming it My Mum is in pieces, I am so ashamed of her.... my mum has taken him to live with her until sister sees sense so not sure what is happening really............

Hi everyone, so sorry I have not been around for ages, I don't think I have posted much for a month. Leo is walking and climbing on everything and keeping me busy and it has just been a busy time for us.

How is everyone?

PillockOfTheCommunity · 18/05/2008 21:28

hi WCL, good to see you

you've just reminded me, octo/runny/mammyjo/oooggs/wcl
I am coming down your way on Saturay (24th) and will be around until Monday (26th)
We're staying in Chard on Saturday night, then with Pesha Sunday night. I won't have a car while we're with her though, so will have to get the train if any of you are free to meet up?

PillockOfTheCommunity · 18/05/2008 21:28

buggeration

CaptainDippy · 18/05/2008 21:29

God, not a hope in hell of catching up!

Read through quickly, so here goes...

Bramshott, I am so sorry about your grandad. Hope you are ok.

MJ, what a pita re your holiday; do you think it will really come to that? I have to say that I hate being away from home when I am poorly. Sorry about your dh being an arse too. Huge hugs. x

Dippy, hope you are ok. Loved your idea for "party bags". I hate the standard ones. I toyed with the idea of giving everyone a copy of CBeebies magazine last year, but went with the usual tat. This year, the magician who we have hired does the bags too - result!!!

MMK, lovely to see

Dooby, you boast away my love. What encouraging news!

OK, brain emptied. Hope everyone is ok.

Dh and I had a lovely weekend away in Salcombe. So nice to spend time together. B and K seem to have had a lovely time with y parents as well.

OK, off to bed, as am shattered.

Night lovelies.

Eddas · 19/05/2008 07:30

morning

at your sister caz

sol, glad you had a nice weekend

sorry i've forgotten everything else, i'm so crap at reading the thread and trying to remember it so I can write my post

DS has his mmr this morning. I'd forgotten unitl i just looked at the calender. Hope i'm not kept waiting as i'd planned on a trip to asda whilst dd is at preschool. She needs a pirate outfit for a party that starts half hour after preschool. Oh and a pressent for the birthday boy

My week's a bit quieter than last weeks which was stupidly manic.

Does anyone else get sick of repeating the same thing to their dc(older ones)? I just seem to say the same thing over and over and over and it has no effect, she doesn't remember. which is so annoying as this is the child that remembers everything

cd, am definately stealing your party bag idea i have got the bags tho as dd insisted[rolls eyes] i think i'm also going to make little buns for them all to take home so i don't have to faff about cutting the cake into ridiculously small pieces for it to disintigrate and go over everyones cars

My frined told me that for her dd's party(we couldn't make it as i had to work) she bought those lucky bags instead of normal party bags. They're £2 each and she had 20 kids and they're still full of tat

CaptainDippy · 19/05/2008 08:36

Glad my party bag idea has inspired so many I am still 'orrible and snotty - bleurgh!! All Dcs plonked in front of DVD while i do some bits n bobs and get ready for Pre-School run. Can hear P being a pickle, so best buzz ........

oooggs · 19/05/2008 09:27

morning all - hope sun is shining where you all are

dts play really well together a possitive at last

Dippy - I love your idea and will use it in the future, keep them coming (ideas that is)

hope MMR goes well eddas (for H not you )

Bramshott · 19/05/2008 09:39

Morning all. No brain as usual.

Dooby - great news about your DS1!

Mammyjo - sorry you are still feeling crap - hope you get a date soon. Sorry if this isn't helpful, but I think you should check with the travel insurance people if they would cover you for any gall-bladder related problems if you went away. Sometimes they won't cover something that's pre-existing and they may say that's what it is if you're already having treatment?

Weekend was okay considering. Looks like Grandpa's funeral won't be till next week, which will be good in some ways as it's half term and easier to get someone to have the girls.

DD1 started learning the recorder over the weekend and is very keen!

Okay, off to tip, garden centre and library. Back later.

Atchooooooo!

Oooooh, I have plenty of ideas ....... We also hired a mobile farmyard for DD2's Birthday - it was £50, whihc might seem a lot, but we didn't hire a venue and the "party bags" only cost about £9 / £10 so that sort of justified it (and the fact we paid for it mainly in DD2s Birthday money ) It was a huge hit, so glad we did it!!

We always do bring and share buffets for the DCs parties - everyone bring a plate of something (we ask for no sweets or cakes ) or for the summer Birthdays we tell everyone to bing a picnic for thier family. So no food costs either

I'll post as I think of more .....

CaptainDippy · 19/05/2008 10:33

Woah - I keep having funny turns and feeling like I am about to throw up

Doobydoo · 19/05/2008 11:21
