Older parties sound like much more work!
We're fine thanks, T has a tooth coming through, veeeeeeery slowly. How's K - still bad nappies?

AngeG · 19/05/2008 22:20

Hello everyone else

Have been lurking but can't seem to keep up atm

MJ - Pleased you've been signed off. Hope the op isn't too far away now.

SOL - Hope B's party goes well.

SPB - at brambles in T's hand.

Dippy - Fantastic about the cheque and the knock effect it's had

WCL - Good to 'see' you. I'm interested to hear more about the CO for ear infections. Think I'll email you.

CaptainDippy · 19/05/2008 22:25

Don't want to talk about it. They are selfish and evil and I have had enough of them.

Rah.

Going to bed before I get too cross.

Night guys. xx

AngeG · 19/05/2008 22:28

Morning SPB!

Sexonlegs · 20/05/2008 08:05

Morning.

Dippy, hope you are ok today.

Ange, wondered where you had got too!!

Awful night here. B was throwing up from Midnight until about 4.30 this morning on and off. 3 changes of bedding and pj's!!! Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

I don't do sick so poor dh had to deal with most of it. Feel so sad that I can't even bear to hug her when she is ill

Needless to say dh and I are knackered.

Better get on. Will be working this a.m. and then back to look after B so no doubt will be on MN then!

StealthPolarBear · 20/05/2008 08:30

oh no SOL - has she done it since or do you think that was the wrost of it? Does she still feel ill?

The skin on T's hands around the brambles is going a bit red, does anyone know what we should do?

OP posts:
oooggs · 20/05/2008 08:32

we I have had a night from hell. Went to bed at 9.50pm didn't have time to get to sleep before Erin was up (had milk), eventually got her to sleep, 10 mins later Jack was up (had milk), he eventually went to sleep then Erin was up again, calpol & milk and asleep. I got to bed at 1.15am I am so angry and cross - I need my sleep and ds1 is feeling the brunt of it already .

The sun is shining and we have toddlers this morning and wobblers this afternoon so at least it isn't one to one three.

Roll on thursday when I have a day off - to sort out cellar whilst children are at nursery.

oooggs · 20/05/2008 08:33

hi katy - antiseptic cream - germolene? (sp?)

I am guessing but that is what I would do first, poor T >>>

PillockOfTheCommunity · 20/05/2008 08:56

morning all
I'd go with oooggs too SPB, but maybe antiseptic spray so you don't have to rub it in and hurt him?
When M had that splinter in his foot which he wouldn't let anyone remove I just had to wait for it to fall out and keep it clean in the meantime

Octothechildherder · 20/05/2008 10:12

Morning - becoming a regular poster lol

Thanks WCL - he seems to be happy with it all and has been offered work alrerady but he wants some time off - so no childcare for June

SOL - ds2 is having a party at our village hall for his 5th Birthday on saturday and we are also having a magician (((spooky))) I too need to do food - was thinking sandwiches, mini sausages, crisps, cakes and strawberries as they are his favourite! I also need to sort party bags - but need to do it today as workng rest of week. I hate party bags with a passion so really need to go and find something thats not wasteful!

mammyjo · 20/05/2008 10:53

Morning all.

CD, hope you have calmed down a bit this morning! Fantastic news about the cheque though
Dh's mother has told him she wants nothing more to do with him It is all over the fact that neither her nor SIL bothered to come to ds's party the other weekend, but didn't let us know until an hour before, despite promising ds they would be there. Dh was understandably angry, but the situation has been turned around to be dh's fault (they are very very vindictive and manipulative people), and now she has told dh to f**k off I hope that I would never ever speak to my children like that. Works for me though! I can't bloody stand them anyway!!

Dooby, poor little M. Hope he is ok. I used cranial osteopathy for ds when he was tiny. It was for colic so different situation I know, but it worked really well.

SOL, hope B is ok this morning

SPB, how are T's hands now. The splinters will work themselves out eventually, just keep it really clean and keep a close eye on it for any signs of infection. Agree to use germolene or other such anti bacterial type cream.

I can't remember anything else now so will be off! See you later xx

Bramshott · 20/05/2008 10:53

Morning.

SPB - we have a very overgrown garden so lots of experience with brambles here. I'd wait till he's asleep, then pull the little bits out with a pair of tweezers, then put a bit of TCP or similar cream on and he should be right as rain. Then teach him that he needs to wait till the blackberries are ripe before trying to eat them!

Party bags - I've always gone down the one thing to play with, one thing to eat + cake + a balloon. Any more than that and it just all gets lost / broken!

mammyjo · 20/05/2008 11:00

Bramshott, thanks for the message about the insurance yesterday. I haven't mentioned it to them yet, planned to wait until after my appointment tomorrow and see if they can give me an idea of how long I will have to wait for the op!

Doobydoo · 20/05/2008 11:23

Morning
Best of luck with the new venture Octo.
Hope you ok Dippy?
EEk re brambles SPB.wILL HE LET YOU TOUCH THE AREA?
hOPE YOU ARE OK mAMMYJO.
gOOD TO SEE YOU aNGEg.
wcl...wHEN/IF YOU GET A CHANCE COULD YOU EXPLAIN WHAT THEY DO REGARDING co?tHIS IDEA HAS GIVEN ME SOME HOPE.As I was feeling worried.
Sorry if I have left anyone out.Knackered and think we all have hayfever.

Sexonlegs · 20/05/2008 13:41

Hi loves

Octo, how spooky indeed! The magician we are having provides the buggering party bags, so I don't need to bother - yippeee!

I am doing sarnies (cheese, ham, jam and egg mayo), crisps, cakes, mini sausages, mini eggs, grapes and strawberries.

SPB, how is T now?

Oooggs, what a pants night for you. Hope you get a better one tonght. x

MJ, am stunned by your mil. What a bitch

Dooby, hope you are ok.

All ok here. B seems to be totally back to normal thank God. No v since 5 a.m. and she has had some toast and it has stayed put

Just hope that K doesn't get it..

mammyjo · 20/05/2008 14:18

SOL, I have to say that MIL has stooped to an all time low with this one. It was as if she did it on purpose just to cause an argument. She has already alienated one of her children and she no longer speaks to him, and it seems she is now doing the same to dh. He says he doesn't care, but deep down it has to really hurt.

mammyjo · 20/05/2008 14:26

Glad that B is better too

Sexonlegs · 20/05/2008 14:54

MJ, mil's loss I say. V strange behaviour indeed.

StealthPolarBear · 20/05/2008 15:48

MJ - at your MIL, why is she so vindictive?
SOL glad B is better and has started eating?
Well mum put germolene on this morning and while she was in town took him to pharmacist to ask if they had anything in particular. Pharmacist said to make an appointment with the practice nurse, so we've just come back from a huge bramble pulling out exercise, T cried, lots :-( The biggest ones which she seemed to think were a problem were out, the smaller ones should work their way out. She also gave me a huge, pointy pair of tweezers to use when they start sticking out!
