awww lovely pictures Febes!! Lovely to see a scan pic again.

Budge up then and pass the doritos.

LOM - so pleased for you, what a life-changing decision! T will be cock-a-hoop having his mummy to himself all the time.

Modern life is pants. Well, it is good from the not dying of random diseases because of poor sanitation aspect but pants because of the juggling work/baby thingy. I would love to stay at home. Me and DH are in serious discussions at the mo re dropping a day especially in the light of my recent child care woes. Thought I had found someone btw only to be told that she is not v.good.

RG - you must be knackered after that commute!

Sparkly - wow, he is fab and very cute.

Febes - lovely scan pic, so exciting!

littleoldme · 11/11/2008 22:26

Loopy - My problem is I always felt I should want it all - I don't. I think we should buy a sofa for the soap box.

febes- Awwwwwww

Greedy - Have another glass. I'm with you on the whole sanitation thing although at the moment our house in somewhere in the 1700's. I can;t get the smell of vomit out of the carpet and our bathroom hasn't been cleaned properly since about 1997.
Hope you manage to sort out the childcare. That must be a pain and rather worrying. how many days are you doing at the mo ?

sam86 · 12/11/2008 10:34

i couldnt sleep last night for worrying about poor baby p. how could anyone do that to a child? i would have happily taken him in, im just so annoyed that he went through such hell and it was totally ignored. i cant get it out of my head.how sick can people be. i can only hope he is in a happier place now xx

RGPargy · 12/11/2008 11:28

Greedy - yep, knackered, cranky and fed up!

Sam - i cant even bear to hear about the poor lad. I just know that it will make me cry for him and upset me. Poor little man.

Is it wrong to feel like i could really do with a glass of wine at 11.30 in the morning?!! And it's not even Christmas Day!!

OP posts:
jetgirl · 12/11/2008 14:35

Sam - hope Raimee's ok x

Sparkly - hope Callum's ok too, he's a proper little man now, so cheeky!

LOM - lucky you, wish I could be a SAHM too. I totally agree that it's a woman's right not to work as well as to work, surely it's about freedom of choice! There's also a reason why it's usually women who do stay at home - men are crap at breastfeeding let alone running a household efficiently. Can I join you for a glass of wine?

RG - love the frilly dress, that's what little girls are for! They only have 1 1st birthday...

Febes - how dare you come on here with your lovely scan pic and try to make me broody!! (jet repeats to herself 'I do not want another baby', though doesn't quite believe herself!) So excited for you x

Spent yesterday in hospital as William has had a nasty cough which became much worse overnight which led to a nasty bout of coughing and blood coming from his nose. The doctors diagnosed bronchiolitis which should take a week or so to clear up, and meanwhile I have to give him an inhaler every 4 hours to help his airways, which he does not enjoy. The hospital staff were brilliant, as were the health centre staff where we went first. They insisted we go to hospital and have him properly monitored, and saw him almost immediately despite the large number of people in the waiting room.

SparklyGothKat · 12/11/2008 14:43

Callum has an inhaler atm too, he has a brontial infection..

sam86 · 12/11/2008 15:24

jet- i hope williams ok, that sounds petrifying with the blood from his nose, must have been so scary for you to see.

ther seems to be so many bugs floating around, everytime we bring raimee back from nursery she seems to have another one.

rg- vino in the morning lol!! i have had mornings that felt like that! it is so upsetting, dp keeps telling me not to watch the news, i just couldnt sleep for worrying. seeing raimees happy little face, i just cant comprehend how anyone could harm a baby. did you get the dress? are you having a tea party?

febes- that sounds absolutley amazing! its a honeymoon and a half! i bet you have some brill memories. i'd love to go to the maldives for our honeymoon but dont think that would be a good idea as raimee will only be about 20months old- what with the long flight and the bungalows being on the sea etc. maybe we'll have a 2nd one there in 20 years! @ dh stressing about Anabels wedding! dp refuses to acknowledge that raimee could ever have a boyfriend never mind a wedding!!

lom- the weddings on aug 30th next year, i think you should all come to the reception for some vino, make it a little MN party as well! and bring the goat with you!!i hope ds is feeling better? im made up for you handing in your notice, you must be so relieved now! if your not enjoying it and would be happier at home then i say go for it! i hate that idea that we are obliged to work- we're not superwoman! its not equality if we are expected to do everything at home and go out and work the same amount of hours as a man too.

sparkly- raimees going to specialist on dec 15th as the doc heard a heart murmur twice, im really hoping its nothing. aww callum is sooo cute walking about!! i cant wait for raimee to do the same but im guessing that even more eyes in the back of the head are needed now!?

haha i finished without it all getting deleted!! xx

SparklyGothKat · 12/11/2008 15:43

nooo you don't want a walking one, Callum is into everything, he climbs too...

RGPargy · 12/11/2008 15:45

Jet - awww poor william! Hope he is better very soon.

I have decided against getting the dress because, well, (a) she wont appreciate it's girly-ness and (b) i think she'll look better in it if i take her to get her picture done professionally. I'm going to be a bit more practical and get her something else instead.

LOM - We could call the goat Geraldo if it's a Spanish goat??

Sam - I never had the wine, which is just as well as i'd probably have crashed out in front of the computer!

I've been trawling through the net trying to find a suitable party dress - that's hard work on it's own! Just as well i have had no work to do today!

OP posts:
littleoldme · 12/11/2008 18:16

Jet - poor old william - and poor old you . that must have been scary.

Of course you can join us for a glass of wine. I think it might be a good idea to get a few bottles in.

Sam - Wedding sounds excellent - so does the maldives...

RG - Good plan. If it's a brazilian goat ( I mean from Brazil BTW; not one that's a victim of dodgy waxing) and it happens to be good a football ,as I'm assured some goats are, we'll call him Geraldhinio.
Hey - do you see what I did there !

RGPargy · 12/11/2008 22:33

Blimey, better clear some room for this crate of wine i've just bought for us all!

LOM - PMSL @ dodgy waxing!! Very clever on the goat naming front. Well done.

I HAVE A NEW NIECE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

littleoldme · 13/11/2008 09:44

SGK - Congratulations - that's fab news. How , where, when etc?

RG - Why don't you bring it up here ? DS went ot sleep at 6.30 last night, woke briefly for bottle and is STILL snoozing. I'm really not sure what to do with myself. I don't think it's too early to start boozing - do you

RGPargy · 13/11/2008 09:53

Sparkly - Congrats!!!! Surely it's not Misdee's bump is it?? I didn't think she was due yet, although i know you have another sister so maybe it's her??? Congrats anyway! How exciting!

LOM - OK will do. I'll stick it in the car and see you in about 3 hours. Bless DS for still being asleep. He obviously needs his sleep for growing etc!!

Hi winos!

LOM re your sleeping beauty. The whole child care thing is seriously bringing me down but I just need to be patient and not rush into anything.

RG - have you found a birthday outfit yet? I bought some nice trousers and a new top for Adam but he has already worn the trousers when he ran out of clothes one day .I miss the times when you could just shove them in a babygro and go!

Jet - what a nightmare, glad you got seen straight away. Puts Adam's vomitting bug into perspective

Sparkly - details and pic please! Let the cooing commence.

Febes - hope you are ready for multiple MN cooing and virtual baby sniffing when your LO is born.

Sam - bloody awful about baby P and beyond comprehension. Sorry your LO is also picking up all the bugs. I am going to have to bring Adam up in a bubble at this rate.

Had a lovely day planned today, music class, birthday party and visit to potential child minder but all out of the window cos poor Adam is sick. Ho hum.

RGPargy · 13/11/2008 11:01

Greedy - you know us so well!

Haven't got an outfit for Ellie yet. I've seen a lovely little dress in George in Asda but i might go to the huge Asda a few towns away rather than our little local one as they might have alot more choice for that sort of thing. We're just going to have a day out on her actual birthday so i might buy her a little outfit for that day too.

I also miss the babygro-and-go days!!

Evening ladies >

DH doesn't get home until about 6.30 7 ish so it's lovely to have you lot to chat to once I've put T to bed.

Greedy - sympathies re your childcare problems. How long have you got to find someone ?
