Time for a new thread me thinks

We paid by credit card and the tickets came by normal post (not recorded) so I am going to contact card issuer and say that we never got our tickets, and then hopefully they will canx the payment - seems easier than going down the route of trading standards etc.

i have been asked out!!!!

haven't slept properly again, i managed to convince myself i wouldn't hear from him again. was getting dd ready for bed and the mobile phone started ringing! i thought who the blardy hell is ringing me at this time o'night?! then when i saw the name i thought who's that? then it was why's he ringing me for? then it was sh*t i better answer the phone, it must have rung for at least five seconds while i was still holding hte phone. he had rung to confirm monday, not cancel it!

aww bless - i want all the details like where your going etc have you decided what to wear yet??

Hello! >waves< just thought I'd pop in to say hello with my nearly-three-week-old baby . Can't believe I actually did it again after DD1! Anyway - sleepless nights are here again... but it's strangely ok most of the time - so far, anyway!

I did indeed get my Secret Stork - it was a gorgeous bottle of lotion from Space NK (v posh!).

Thanks for the encouragement, by the way - I need to hear it at the moment as feeling quite tired and emotional. DD2 is much easier than DD1 ever was, but my (D)H is just as 'challenging' as ever, as far as baby care is concerned, so I feel quite unsupported again, even though he's great with DD1 (but looking after a three-and-a-half-year-old is FUN!!). Thankfully by the wonders of Mumsnet I have found a local postnatal doula who is coming this morning for the first time to give me a bit of a break. If only I'd known such people existed when I had DD1!!

we still text but no firm date as yet, apparently he is on call this week and next week is xmas - so am not going to hold my breath.

Darcie was taken back to docs again today, had minor asthma attack, been diagnosed with a chest infection, croup, and flu virus
been given steroids, i just hope we get rid of it before xmas.

Secret Stork was on my antenatal thread. AprilMeadow organised it for us .

Muggle sorry to hear Darcie is so poorly at the moment. (I remember her name!) FWIW DD1 had croup when she was teenytiny and the steroids cleared it up almost immediately - it was a miraculous transformation, and such a relief to both of us when she was better.

oh christ. dd has croup like attacks quite regularly, tho it had used to be every 3months, esp when she had heavy cold. the last one was a good couple of months ago, (i feel like i'm watching her like a hawk now!) so i do understand how you feel ((((((((((()))))))))) i hope she gets better soon xxx

Shes perked up a little but looks white as a sheet. I was up all night being ill, Neils got a cold so we are all quite poorly.

Darcie has gone to mums so i can get some sleep this afternoon.

I'm thinking next time Darcie has an attack its off to the hospital.

am glad she's on the mend tmcm (have just got used to tmm, now htere's another letter to add!!! )

well, it was only a coffee in the local shop and we got on really well, neither of us wanted to end things there so he asked ifthere as anythign else i wanted to do / go anywhere? so i suggested a walk on the beach (in this weather!) and he agreed, he held my hand and kissed me and we walked a bit more, kissed a lot more and then went to his local for a drink and talk some more (and kiss more!) we got on really, really well.

ther is one fly in the ointment atm tho. he has already said that he is newly single and i asked yesterday if he was talking to anyone else. he didn't take the question the wrong way and answered honestly (which i wantd) and said he is talking to another lass on zoosk from wales who has asked himto go and see her. i don't want him to as i do like him but he has also said that he does want to see me again and that if he does find out that he likes someone then he won't be playing the field anymore.
