Pebble - the cheeky mare!

AbbyLou · 16/04/2008 11:39

I agree Pebble, nick it back! She'll know it was you but who cares! Agree about writing in it too!
We've just been to Tesco, I hate taking them both shopping when it's busy. They weren't bad really but I get so stressed. It was a bit stressful at the end though. There is a Travelator to get out and C loves it - usually! Anyway, I had R in the trolley and he was walking. He decided at the last minute to let go of my hand and he didn't step on it when I did. So he was left screaming at the top and I was moving down with R in the trolley! Luckily the lady behind him took pity on him and helped him on. I thought she might come down with him but at least she made sure he was holding on. He did eventually walk down to meet me halfway and looked very sheepish! I let him have a ride on the Scoop ride to help him get over the trauma!

Lupins71 · 16/04/2008 12:10

AM did Ellas pressie turn up, havent been about much as have had friends staying - hope its arrived

largeginandtonic · 16/04/2008 12:11

Mum2G come for about 12 and we will have cake and nibbles. Choc cake in the oven now, will ice on Friday. Wating on an egg before i can make the lemon drizzle!

New bras i really need those, just cant face it. Bobos are AWFUL, lets change the subject.

Beau is so snotty i am so sick of it, corks a good idea?

Abby what a nightmare! I have done that before and gone in to panic mode (rare) i dont like them much which doesnt help!

mom2latinoboys · 16/04/2008 13:16

Well I had one hum-dinger of a night. Cruz barely slept, was crying so much. He's all snotty and uncomfortable. Mateo woke up screaming for apple juice a few times (very cute though, he woke up and I looked at him and said "Are you all right" He looked at me and said, "I'm alright . . . I'm just sick". He's now sitting on the couch eating strawberries and watching his shows. Cruz hasn't woken up yet, and I just want to crawl into bed and pretend that I don't have to pick up my car at the mechanic today and give him $1100 that I don't have.

Am super jealous of your get together on Friday. Who knows maybe I'll run away from my life for a while and show up.

scootermum · 16/04/2008 13:39

I wonder how long it will take me to get there?..I will probably arrive with two screaming nippers and begging for mercy..so apologies in advance!Very excited though!

You SHOULD come M2lb's..Imagine I bet you could do a months tour of England practically for free as we could all put you up all over the country!TYG in London, me in Herts near lovely Knebworth house and Hatfield and all that, Largegandt by the sea, Pinkjenny near Liverpool for the Beatles..Abby near Nottingham for Robin Hood..Lups in Devon for cream teas..and everywhere else in between!you'd have a great time!

Have just been down to Kings cross to asess a man for the service and whilst I was there had a quick mooch around the new Eurostar terminal..Its very swish and lots of lovely shops and cafe's..and I got a freebie salad from a new cafe that were giving away 'tasters'-only it was huge-plenty for me anyway..who says there is no such thing as a free lunch!
Then I sat for an hour on the bus on the way back as they have closed all the roads round Kings Cross for a shooting or something..so have treated myselfto a Frys Turkish delight (fat free practically y'know)
And now back to the, er, grind stone!

Mum2G · 16/04/2008 13:52

Sorry to hear about your night M2LB, M sounds a real sweetie! Do you have a web cam?

mom2latinoboys · 16/04/2008 13:56

Yeah we have a web cam. If LG&T has one maybe we can hook up. I haven't done it in ages though.

Lupins71 · 16/04/2008 14:14

Everyone of you are welcome for cream teas - yummy! hope you have a good meet up am very jealous i wont be there

M2LB that sounds a bit similar to my night, lets hope tnite is better

Better go friend here, dying to come and catch up on all thats been going on

mom2latinoboys · 16/04/2008 14:26

What are cream teas?

TheProdigalShow · 16/04/2008 14:32

Change of plan. Meet up has been moved to Norfolk. On a farm. Next to some sheep. LG&T asked me to let you know.

scootermum · 16/04/2008 15:04

Screams and waves hands around wildly

scootermum · 16/04/2008 15:06

Well its basically tea M2lb, with a ruddy great Scone, smothered in jam and well, cream..Normally served in a small tea room, with lots of doylies and not a few old ladies around (or else a swank hotel).Sometimes you also get small sandwiches with the crusts cut off, or if you are very lucky, a crumpet or two, but in my experience, quite rare!

mom2latinoboys · 16/04/2008 15:23

soh--good to hear from you!! But you can't just pop in out like that.

Scooter-that sound yummy. Now when you say cream are you talking about whipped cream (mmmm), butter, or something else completely. When I hear cream I think of the coffee and cream . .or cream and sugar.

TheProdigalShow · 16/04/2008 15:55

Who is this SOH you speak of?

mom2latinoboys · 16/04/2008 16:07

Oh lord she's up and moved and lost her mind.

cameroonmama · 16/04/2008 17:28

SOH

You only popped in because there was so much talk of cakes; KKs, delicious lemony drizzle, choco cake and scones, you couldn't keep away could you?

I feel a bit sick.

cameroonmama · 16/04/2008 17:29

By the way, LG&T, have you got glandular fever?

AprilMeadow · 16/04/2008 17:40

Yay SOH has come for a chat!

Lups hasnt arrived yet, but i did have a card through my door so it might be that...

LG&T, I will be finishing work at about 12 and then picking kids up then work my way to you. Will be there about 1.30ish..... is that ok? Am collecting KK's tomorrow so they will need to be scoffed straight away!

Hope you are all well xxx

[email protected] hon..

Lupins71 · 16/04/2008 21:54

AM yes it could be it, hope it does arrive ok

Cream teas come with clotted cream, which is super dooper thick sweet cream, good stuff gets a crust on it and its a whopping 560cals per 100g and is 60g fat per 100g [shock

Cant believe what my friend I have staying has done - stormed of to bed because I apparently dont set any sleep boundries for my children WTF WTF!!!! I am gobsmacked, dd didnt want to join her dd for a story as she was spending time with dp her dd got very upset then when my dd went to bed she got into my bed where ds was asleep, ds woke up and dd stopped him falling out of bed - to cut a long story short they both ended uo getting up and are still up as it happens, she said I dont have enough boundries hahahahaha, and has just stopped me upstair to ask me to turn the tv down and ds's toy off hmmmmm ds now playing with xylaphone lol

I am starting work in the pub next door for a couple of nights in the pub next door, quite looking forward to getting out and meeting some new people

Just quickly will let you know dp and i are doing good ( at the mo) he burned his pc games and said he wanted to make more of an effort with his family - so fingers crossed

Oh and next time i decide to go on a diet please remind me not to use up the last half pint of double cream in home made rice pud - one of my fav puds - now im gonna have to eat it

largeginandtonic · 17/04/2008 07:51

She teases us that one...

Cam No GF here, although i still dont feel 100%. Sure once today is over with i will be fine

Scoot will email in a mo.

AbbyLou · 17/04/2008 07:53

Lupin, lol out your friend. Surely if you're in your house you can do what you want. If you go and stay with someone you have to live by their house rules! Even if she thought those things she shouldn't have said anything when she is your guest. Hope you resolve everything today.
Well done to your dp for burning those games, it must have been a big thing for him to do. I'm glad things are going well between you, let's hope it continues.
Well the weather looks like being a bit better here today so I think I'll take the kids to the park for a bit this morning. We've got some friends and their 18 month old coming for tea so hopefully if it stays nice they'll all be able to play outside.
