I'm glad you took the initiative Bumper, I'm too tired to think.

lackaDAISYcal · 14/03/2008 21:39

PMSL bumper

a nice juxtaposition to the august 07 thread that is banging on about being back in skinny jeans

lackaDAISYcal · 14/03/2008 21:45

bumoer you sound very professional and knowledgeable on some of the BFing threads today...freaky friday is right enough

BumperliciousIsStillNotDressed · 14/03/2008 21:50

That will be my peer supporter training

Actually nearly ALL of my bfing knowledge has come from mumsnet. I just seem to have found something I am passionate about, which is why I am so fecked off that DH's work are stopping me going to bfing group.

Defo considering bfc training though. Going to get settled back into work first.

I think friday is just worse too because you are aware that there is little support over the weekend so you start getting a bit edgy about seemingly minor things.

fancy us being on the same bud jammy

BTW - DH is having steak too

Sputnik, it is definitely worse getting DS2 to bed if he has a nap (he did in the car today). He often gets seriously arsey and needs one after nursery but hasn't had a "proper" nap for ages and has been going to bed better, but it can still takes ages, even with lavender baths, stories, soothing music (bought especially from the Music Tots lady) and a proper bedtime routine. He sleeps better if he has something sugary after tea though[hmm[(bad mummy). I think my boys just have seriously active imaginations (now who do I know like that?) and there'sno hope. DS1 wanted to discuss why his burps tasted funny tong=ight - 10 minutes after he'd been "put" to bed. I can't give a fecking scientific reason for everything!!!

I have just read that article I was on about last night about Claire from Steps. Poor girl. If I'd known they were put under that kind of pressure to look like that I would never have bought their album. It must be awful to starve yourself to look as good as she did and still feel like "the fat one".

sorry. long post.

Riallymusttryharder · 14/03/2008 22:00

FFS - BUS!

Riallymusttryharder · 14/03/2008 22:01

I had never ralised the Hamster was really that short, I just thought Clarkson was tall.

lackaDAISYcal · 14/03/2008 22:02

I'm waiting on word about training to be a peer supporter and then I'll go on and do the full BFC if I'm any good at it. I'll officially be a "bosom buddy" . It seems odd now, looking back, that we ever had ishoos with BFing doesn't it?

Right, I feel utterly mentally and physically exhausted so am off for an early night.

lackaDAISYcal · 14/03/2008 22:04

he is very wee isn't he Ria; I think Davina is a bit self conscious stood next to him.

Oh and for a Northern meet-up, Trace is in S Yorkshire too. I'm sure we can come up with something!

Riallymusttryharder · 14/03/2008 22:07

No!
I have to admit - looking at baggins 4 huge teeth that look like he hasn't bothered with milk teeth and just gone straight to adult ones - that I made the bottles tonight with a huge sense of relief. I am very proud of myself for feeding as long as I did, and I am in awe of those of you who are still doing it, and offering support to others. Well done you.

Riallymusttryharder · 14/03/2008 22:09

I wonder if I could face the train? We should meet, I have more respect for you guys than most of the people who are my RL "friends".

I apologise to everyone, but I lurve Clarkson!!!!!!!!

BumperliciousIsStillNotDressed · 14/03/2008 22:24

See dd shows no sign of teeth so that's not a problem. Now the pinching and scratching might just drive me to stop!

I better shut down and go to bed. Fingers crossed it's my turn for a lie-in tomorrow (I usually wake up anyway and can' get back to sleep) and DD is still in our room at the moment to mitigate the night waking . I have no doubt I will wake before dh so he will get a swift kick in the shin!

Night all xxx

LittleMissNorty · 14/03/2008 22:25

Evening all

my DD never wears shoes - even ornamental ones....she goes out in socks which she usually pulls off but is either somewhere warm (home, nursery) or is in her cosytoes. If its bloody cold, I put tights on under her trousers...she can't get them off

Having a shit time atm so am mainly just lurking....but for once (touch wood) DD isn't ill....FF / Fury hope LOs get better soon, its so fucking exhausting looking after ill babies....let alone siblings / work etc

Bumper...love the thread title....still got my fecking bump...hasn't changed much from this time last year

BumperliciousIsStillNotDressed · 14/03/2008 22:29

Just disappearing norty but just wanted to give you a {hug}, sorry you are feeling shitty. Feel free to vent on here.

No shoes here either. I have one pair of lovely starchild shoes (from ebay) but no others. And DD doesn't even have a cosy toes just blankets as I am too tight to buy one!

OP posts:
Riallymusttryharder · 14/03/2008 22:31

My bump wobbles now - there is something missing.

We're here if you need us norty, don't suffer alone if a rant will help.

baggins has 2 pair of soft shoe things - 1 pair £2.99 from Adams (his xmas gift from DS2) and some my sis sent from Kuwait. SOmewhere I have a gorgeous pair of Kiwi soft leather things that my sis sent from NZ when DS1 was tiny. Would say a big NO to Clarks for now - they'll get enough cash out of us all later on.

I don't get the point of this now, Clarkson has ceased to be funny.

lackaDAISYcal · 14/03/2008 22:34

norty couldn't go without asking if you're OK?

talk to us babes, it's what we're here for

oh, and I definately look 6mo pg already, although a very wobbly 6mo!

Riallymusttryharder · 14/03/2008 22:34

similar to these

Riallymusttryharder · 14/03/2008 22:36

I'm off too. Night all.

Yippee, it's Saturday tomorrow
DH is off to get my ebay bargain bed

LittleMissNorty · 14/03/2008 22:49

You're all so lovely on here

I'm ok just on some fucking treadmill I can't get off...am off ADs and don't know if its sensible...feeling very emotional for no apparent reason (NOT pg!)....think its family things that are playing on my mind...how can the death of my dad (over 2 years ago) affect family dynamics SO much? Just goes to show how one person can hold a family together...I miss him very much and am just having a wobbly time I think...(Daisy, sorry, don't mean to be insensitive..

Sorry...Right off to watch a bit of sport relief and bed

night x (and thanks x)

LittleMissNorty · 14/03/2008 22:51

Well that makes no sense whatsoever, but doesn't matter....written it down which makes me feel a bit better

foxythesnowman · 14/03/2008 23:18

Ahh you go ahead Norty. Babies change things. Certainly make me think about my family/parents/relationships. You've been through a lot lately, not only having a baby, but going back to work, ill DD. That's a lot in less than a year. Perhaps if you are questioning coming off ADs then it might not be the time just yet?

And I'm with you on that fucking treadmill ....

Night x

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 15/03/2008 06:25

It's Saturday, which is meant to be my lie in day. So why did I end up coming downstairs with the jamlet at 5.50? And she's just had a poop, so I'll have to go and sort that out. I'm too soft I am!

andiem · 15/03/2008 09:02

morning all me too jammy
up twice in the night and then up with both dcs from 7 but have done lots of jobs already

have bought one of these from e bay for 95 new so am feeling pleased

norty sorry things are rough for you at the moment I think you hit a bit of a wall about this time when the relentlessness of it all gets to you. I feel a bit like that at the mo endless nappy changing and making and claering up from meals
remember we are all here for you why don't we try and meet up? where are you again?

Riallymusttryharder · 15/03/2008 09:30

morning.
I hope knowing that you can do that helps norty. I think it made sense what you were saying. I think my mum still has times where she struggles without her mum (she had virtually become her carer) and it's been 4 years. It's a big step stpping ADs too. Hope you have a nice restful weekend.

I have cleaner my entrance hall this morning. Why does the general filthy lived-in-ness of my house bother me so much when my Dad is on the doorstep?

So I have washed the floor and will pack away the winter mat, so no doubt it will snow this afternoon and my floor will be covered in wet shoes. I will have to scrub the walls soon, but it's just a little bit too early to start my Spring Cleaning. (I need a life).
