PESHA IS VERY PISSED

she rang me (on the phone to me now actually......

and has only tonight realised that I'm not in her recent calls list (that would be because she has never ever called me )

WO, that's a really sweet offer, what does it look like?

I still think that if I can manage the learning curve to make my own for D it would be something positive out of this.

elkiedee · 19/01/2008 22:14

I also have several other little things going wrong - an expensive new airer I bought to replace the old one which had fallen apart, that we use to hang towels on, has collapsed. I plan to complain but I had it delivered and it's not really feasible for me to get it to John Lewis - either Oxford Street or Brent Cross - by public transport.

Actually, I've just had a thought, I have to plan some time when I take Danny to his childminders in the next few weeks, as a practice before he goes there full time, I can't sit at home missing him and I can't really do baby group stuff without him, can I?

And I've lost D's buggy raincover. I think I might have left it in the swimming pool changing rooms but unless I can get someone on the phone by Monday will probably just buy a replacement. Have phoned a local shop in Wood Green which sells them for £15, not really much more than ebay and would resolve it quickly. Am gettting nervous now because I know it's a bad sign when I start forgetting things like that.

justpinions · 19/01/2008 22:22

Elkie - what bad luck that they have taken the blanket. Fwiw I think it would be a great idea for you to make a replacement one yourself, if you need any help feel free to ask (I'm a bit of an expert knitter/sewer but please don't tell anyone ).

What complete tossers taking a baby blanket.

Half a bottle of wine is nuffin!

PillockOfTheCommunity · 19/01/2008 23:09

she's been on sloe vodka
or at least, she thinks she has, she didn't actually ask what the liquid in the unmarked bottle the man she barely knew was pouring from was

OP posts:
Pesha · 19/01/2008 23:35

his name was deano and he called me shag - proper west country greeting that! 1 bottle had some sort of campari thing and the other was sloe something. I drank it like wine (and aswell as wine) so yes maybe a tiddly bit tiddly

AngeG · 19/01/2008 23:37

Hi Pesha, good evening then?

Maveta · 20/01/2008 07:47

morning! quiet night on here last night? We had another rough one, 3rd night in a row that N has had a temp although last night it came down pretty quickly and didn´t go back up. And snotty as anything and not sleeping at all in the day and with much trouble and only for 2 hours or so at a time through the night. Apart from that though during the day he is his normal happy (albeit very snotty) self. Seems right as rain now. Doc first thing monday morning though I think just to get him checked over.

dh has got tendonitis in his shoulder which flares up about once a year and means he can´t move his arm at all so he´s feeling very sorry for himself and useless on top of it

Today is the blessing for Sant Antoni which was on thursday. Today they bless all the pets that people bring to the square and the kids dress up as devils so of course we have a big family meal to attend but it´s a beautiful sunny day and it´s a bbq so will be really nice.

So yeah, in the spirit of today, Bless all your furry friends!

StealthPolarBear · 20/01/2008 07:47

Maveta, sorry you had such a bad night again. Must be your turn for a good one soon.

Oooggs, gad you had a good night out.

Hi everyone else. Hope all is well.

We had a lovely meal out last night with friends, and not a word from the dd's for our friend who was looking after them.
B has been an angel this morning, playing with her dolls house. She came in and announced she was going to tidy her room as well! Long may this last

Plans for today?

Think we are off to the New Forest for a pub lunch. Cue B "where's the old forest?"!!
